MULTIPURPOSE ACIDIC COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE

Multipurpose acidic compositions for cleaning and/or sanitizing are provided. The acidic compositions are liquids that remove polymerized soils, hard water deposit (e.g., calcium carbonate), soap scum, rust and other stains (e.g., coffee and tea), including assisting in general cleaning of difficult soils, such as fats, oils, cosmetics, and other difficult soils. The acidic compositions can include at least one organic acid and a solvent or solvent system, and if desired, can be PPE free compositions. Methods for using the acidic compositions as pre-treatments, soaks and/or application in machine and manual warewash are also provided. Methods for using the acidic compositions for removing polymerized oils, carbonized soils, fats, oils, stains (e.g., coffee and tea), hard water scale/deposits, and cosmetics are also provided.

Cleaning compositions containing gum and methods of use therewith

The disclosure provides cleaning compositions including at least one acid, at least one carbonate salt, at least one gum, at least one acid salt, and, optionally, at least one chelating agent. When exposed to an aqueous medium, the cleaning compositions may produce carbon dioxide. These cleaning compositions find use, for example, in cleaning textile fibers, such as carpets, drapery, upholstery, and the like. The disclosure provides methods of cleaning soiled textile fibers with a cleaning composition including gum arabic, at least one acid, and at least one carbonate salt.

A detergent composition for metal product, which contains an amine (component A) represented by a general formula (I), a salt (component B′) of a dicarboxylic acid (component B) represented by a general formula (II): HOOC—R.sup.4—COOH (II) and the amine (component A), a salt (component C′) of a monocarboxylic acid (component C) represented by a general formula (III): R.sup.5—COOH (III) and the amine (component A), a nonionic surfactant (component D) represented by a general formula (IV): R.sup.6—O-{(EO)n/(PO)m}-H (IV), and water (component E) and has a pH of more than 7 and 10 or less. The detergent composition for metal product exhibits excellent detergency and metal corrosion suppressing performance.

The methods include: providing cleaning solution and rinsing fluid along supply line(s); connecting the supply line(s) to one or more cleaning applicators positioned to apply the cleaning solution or the rinsing fluid to one or more surfaces of a starch applicator system; and providing a controller which is able to control application of the cleaning solution and the rinsing fluid through the one or more cleaning applicators. The compositions include about 5 to 15% w/w alpha amylase to break down the starch into water-soluble units; and non-ionic surfactant(s) and/or solvent(s) to react at the interface of the starch and surface it is attached to as well as liquefy the resins.

Detergent compositions effective for controlling hard water scale accumulation are disclosed. Detergent compositions employing phosphinosuccinic acid and mono-, bis- and oligomeric phosphinosuccinic acid (PSO) derivatives with alkali metal carbonate and/or alkali metal hydroxide reduce had water scale accumulation on treated surfaces at alkaline conditions between about pH of 9 and 12.5. Methods employing the detergent compositions and preventing hard water scale accumulation are also provided.
