Solid-state spectrometer

A solid-state gas spectrometer for detection of molecules of target gases. An emitter generates light having wavelengths both within and outside of one or more absorption bands of a target molecule. The light provided by the emitter passes through an airway adapter. A reflective beam splitter splits the light transmitted through the airway adapter, into two convergent beams each focused on a light detector. One of the light detectors, which is covered by a filter that rejects light having wavelengths within one or more absorption bands of the target molecule, serves as the sensing detector. The other light detector, which may or may not be covered by a filter, serves as the reference detector. The concentration of a target gas molecule in the gas sample is estimated based on a differential signal that is generated using the signals received from the reference and sensing detectors.

Multifunctional intraoral imaging system and related methods

The present disclosure relates to visualizing an operative field in the context of a dental operating theater, and more specifically, to a portable, modular, multifunctional intraoral imaging system to assist a practitioner in performing a medical or dental procedure in a confined space (e.g., intraoral cavity or mouth of a patient). The system may include an intraoral camera apparatus having a camera unit equipped with a wireless transmitter, and a viewscreen mounted to an articulated stand or dental delivery unit, wherein the camera wirelessly may transmit an image to a viewscreen located directly in front of a dental practitioner. The practitioner may look directly ahead at a high-definition screen to view the operative field. A dental practitioner may use the apparatus to perform micro-surgical procedures in a confined operative area with less-than-ideal visibility and access, without the present, though generally accepted, physical difficulties and limitations.

The present invention relates to a portable breath gas and volatile substance analyzer comprising a breath input portion for inputting the breath into the analyzer by blowing breath, a breath delivery portion connected to the breath input portion, a breath storage portion connected to the breath delivery portion, a sensor provided in the breath storage portion for detecting the breath, and a microcontroller connected to the sensor for receiving the breath data from the sensor to analyze the gas and volatile substance data.

UNIVERSAL MOTOR CARTRIDGE FOR REPOSABLE SURGICAL INSTRUMENT
20220409204 · 2022-12-29 ·

A universal motor cartridge for a surgical instrument includes a reusable housing having a distal face and a bottom surface and configured to securely engage a disposable surgical instrument. Couplers disposed on the distal face are adapted to engage couplers disposed on the surgical instrument upon engagement of the housing. A plurality of electrical interfaces on the bottom surface are adapted to electrically engage corresponding electrical interfaces on the surgical instrument, such that, upon activation of each switch disposed on the surgical instrument, the corresponding electrical interface on the surgical instrument communicates with the corresponding electrical interface on the bottom surface of the housing, which, in turn, actuates the corresponding coupler to engage and actuate the respective coupler on the surgical instrument causing the surgical instrument to rotate/articulate a shaft, open/close a pair of jaw members, deform staples, move a knife or energize an end effector.

Intraoral moisture measuring device

An intraoral moisture measuring device includes: a swing member that swings with respect to a main body about a predetermined swing center; a moisture amount detection unit provided at a tip of the swing member, for detecting a moisture amount by being directly or indirectly abutted against a measurement site in a mouth; and a biasing member for biasing the swing member in one of swing directions. Consequently, the intraoral moisture measuring device is capable of measuring intraoral moisture in a simple and highly-accurate manner.

SENSORS WITH DEHUMIDIFIERS

A sensor system for detecting at least one analyte in an environment includes a dehumidifier system including at least one of a condenser unit and a desiccant unit and a sensor responsive to the analyte in fluid connection with the dehumidifier system.

DISPOSABLE PATCH ELECTRODE STRUCTURE AND CONNECTOR OF BIO-SIGNAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEM, BIO-SIGNAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONNECTING WITH DISPOSABLE PATCH ELECTRODE STRUCTURE
20220395211 · 2022-12-15 ·

A disposable patch electrode structure comprises a front flap and a main structure, which is attached to skin for a bio-signal measurement, the patch electrode structure feeding electrical bio-signals to a bio-signal device separate from the patch electrode structure. The front flap is separated from the main structure by a non-enclosing front flap cut, material of the front flap being thus formed as continuous material of the main structure. Materialistic connection of the continuous material between a rear section of the front flap at a non-enclosing side of the front flap cut and the main structure allows tilt of the front flap with respect to the main structure in response to rise of a frontal section of the front flap with respect to the main structure. The front flap is fully surrounded by the main structure. The front flap comprises contact electrodes at the frontal section, the contact electrodes being both connected with measurement electrodes of the main structure through conductors via the materialistic connection and connectable with counter-electrodes of a connector separate from the patch electrode structure.

MODULAR WRISTBAND AND SENSOR SYSTEM

A modular wristband and sensor system and method of using the same are disclosed. The system uses top and bottom sensor modules that contain conductive ports for connection to wristbands' conductive ports. The wristbands' conductive ports are electrically connected to wires embedded within each wristband segment. These allow for the transfer of data and power between the bands and the top and bottom sensor modules. Having power and data conducted through wristbands into sensors makes it possible for wristband sensors to have swappable bands while maintaining connectivity. Other embodiments include a wristband that includes swappable top and bottom sensor modules communicating wirelessly with each other.
