SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROCESSING INTEGRATED SURGICAL VIDEO COLLECTIONS TO IDENTIFY RELATIONSHIPS USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Systems, methods, and computer readable media related to statistical analysis across surgical videos are disclosed. The methods may include receiving video frames across multiple surgical videos, each surgical video comprising multiple surgical procedures performed by a specific medical professional across differing patients. A set of surgical event-related categories may be accessed and video frames of each surgical video may be analyzed to identify surgical events defined by a subgroup of frames. Each subgroup of frames may be assigned to one of the surgical event-related categories to thereby interrelate subgroups of frames from differing surgical procedures to a common surgical event-related category. Statistics may be derived for each surgical event-related category and then aggregated within each category and displayed with the surgical event-related categories for selection. Upon receiving a selection, at least part of the frames assigned to the particular surgical event-related category may be presented.
INSTRUMENT NAVIGATION IN COMPUTER-ASSISTED HIP SURGERY
A computer-assisted surgery system comprises a calibrating instrument adapted to be applied to a pelvis in a known manner, and a surgical instrument. A computer-assisted processor unit operating a surgical assistance procedure and comprises at least one portable inertial sensor unit configured to be connected to the at least one calibrating instrument and the at least one surgical instrument, the portable inertial sensor unit outputting readings representative of its orientation. A geometrical relation data module provides a geometrical relation data between the orientation of the portable inertial sensor unit, of the calibrating instrument and of the surgical instrument. A coordinate system module sets a coordinate system of the pelvis in which an anterior-posterior axis of the pelvis is generally in a direction of gravity, and in which a medio-lateral axis of the pelvis is obtained from readings of the at least one portable inertial sensor unit on the calibrating instrument using the geometrical relation data therebetween. A tracking module tracks movements of the at least one surgical instrument relative to the coordinate system using readings from the inertial sensor unit on the surgical instrument using the geometrical relation data therebetween, and calculates navigation data for the movements, the navigation data relating the orientation of the surgical instrument to the orientation of the pelvis. An interface outputs the navigation data.
AMBULATORY ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY MONITOR
An ambulatory electrocardiography monitor is provided. The monitor includes a housing adapted to couple to a monitoring patch that includes electrocardiographic electrodes; and electronic circuitry provided within the housing. The electronic circuitry includes an electrocardiographic front end circuit; the microcontroller configured to: execute a power up sequence upon the housing coupling to the patch; after the execution of the power-up sequence, retrieve from the monitoring patch an identifier associated with the patch and a password for accessing results of a physiological monitoring conducted using the patch; read samples of the electrocardiographic signals, buffer the samples of the electrocardiographic signals, compress the buffered samples of the electrocardiographic signals, buffer the compressed samples of the electrocardiographic signals, and write-the buffered samples into a memory in association with the password and the identifier; and the memory electrically interfaced with the microcontroller.
METHOD, DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR CORRELATING AT LEAST ONE ADDITIONAL 2D-IMAGE TO A 3D-REPRESENTATION OF AT LEAST A PART OF TOOTH
The present disclosure provides a computer-implemented method for correlating at least one infrared 2D-image to a 3D-representation of at least a part of a tooth displayed in a graphical user-interface, of a hand-held scanning device, on a screen, comprising the steps of: obtaining a first set of 2D-images of the at least part of the tooth; forming a 3D-representation of the at least a part of the tooth from the first set of 2D-images; displaying, in the graphical user-interface, the 3D-representation; obtaining a second set of 2D-images, wherein the second set of 2D images are infrared 2D-images acquired within the at least part of the tooth; displaying, in the user-interface, at least one of the 2D-images from the second set of 2D-images; displaying, in the user-interface, a manipulator configured to change between 2D-images in the second set of 2D-images.
MOBILE BATTERY POWERED MEDICAL CART
Disclosed herein are mobile battery powered medical carts, methods of operating these carts to increase efficiency of health-care operations, and methods of accurately calculating remaining battery runtime for these carts. A mobile battery powered medical cart may comprise a wheeled base portion having a sliding battery power bay, an upper workstation area having a monitor, a computer, and a printer, and at least one adjustable height column coupling the wheeled base portion to the upper workstation area. The carts may include a glass overlay display positioned on a top surface of the upper workstation area and having anti-bacterial and chemical resistant properties. The glass overlay display may be configured to provide medical employees with haptic feedback on remaining battery runtime, calculated via a custom algorithm for increased accuracy.
ANALYTE SENSOR AND APPARATUS FOR INSERTION OF THE SENSOR
An apparatus for insertion of a medical device in the skin of a subject is provided.
ANALYTE SENSOR AND APPARATUS FOR INSERTION OF THE SENSOR
An apparatus for insertion of a medical device in the skin of a subject is provided.
SIMPLIFIED BLOOD SAMPLING DEVICE AND METHOD
An apparatus and method for collecting a predetermined amount of blood or other fluid using an automated sampling system is provided.
Methods and systems for selecting media guidance applications based on a position of a brain monitoring user device
Methods and systems are disclosed herein for a system configured to determine a position of a brain monitoring user device, and a brain state of a user. Based on the determined position and the determined brain state, the system provides access to a set of media guidance application operations corresponding to the determined brain state and to brain regions corresponding to the determined position of the brain monitoring user device.
MULTI-INPUT ROBOT SURGICAL SYSTEM CONTROL SCHEME
For controlling a robotic surgical system including arms, consoles, and a controller in communication with the arms and consoles, systems and methods are provided that include receiving a request for selection of a first arm for assignment to a first console, and in response to the request, determining whether the first arm is already assigned, assigning the first arm to the first console, if a determination is made that the first arm is not already assigned, determining whether the first arm is to be deselected from a previous assignment, if a determination is made that the first arm is already assigned, generating an error message, if a determination is made that the first arm is not to be deselected, and deselecting the first arm from the previous assignment and assigning the first arm to the first console, if a determination is made that the first arm is to be deselected.
