TRANSCUTANEOUS ANALYTE SENSOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Systems for applying a transcutaneous monitor to a person can include a telescoping assembly, a sensor, and a base with adhesive to couple the sensor to skin. The sensor can be located within the telescoping assembly while the base protrudes from a distal end of the system. The system can be configured to couple the sensor to the base by compressing the telescoping assembly.

APPARATUS FOR MANIPULATION OF EAR DEVICES
20230224647 · 2023-07-13 ·

Disclosed herein are apparatuses for manipulation of an ear device within the ear canal of a subject. Also disclosed herein are methods of using said apparatuses for the insertion, removal, or other manipulations of the ear device. Also disclosed herein are methods of making the apparatuses, and kits containing the apparatus with instructions for use.

ANALYTE SENSOR DEVICES, CONNECTIONS, AND METHODS

Devices associated with on-body analyte sensor units are disclosed. These devices include any of packaging and/or loading systems, applicators and elements of the on-body sensor units themselves. Also, various approaches to connecting electrochemical analyte sensors to and/or within associated on-body analyte sensor units are disclosed. The connector approaches variously involve the use of unique sensor and ancillary element arrangements to facilitate assembly of separate electronics assemblies and sensor elements that are kept apart until the end user brings them together.

Insertion device

Embodiments relate to an insertion device that includes: a plunger coupled with a lock collar. The insertion device houses contents including: a striker including self-locking striker snap arm(s) where the striker is kept from firing by a striker spring captured between the plunger and the striker when the insertion device is in a cocked position; a sensor assembly; and a needle carrier that holds a piercing member, the needle carrier captured between the striker and a needle carrier spring where a self-releasing snap(s) keeps the needle carrier cocked, where the plunger prevents the self-releasing snap(s) from repositioning and releasing the needle carrier. The striker fires the needle carrier such that the self-locking striker snap arm(s) are positioned to allow the striker to snap down. The needle carrier is then retracted when the user releases the plunger and the piercing member is encapsulated within the insertion device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICAL DEVICE ANCHORING

This disclosure sets forth various systems and methods for deploying anchored medical devices within a human or animal. The medical devices may deliver payloads, such as various sensors, electrodes, transmitters, cameras, electrical or other interventional devices, drugs or therapeutics. The devices may have one or more anchors, which attach the device to an anatomy of interest. This allows for methods and processes to be performed over periods of time, such as extended delivery of a therapy or real time sensing of characteristics inside a body, which the device remains within a given location.

GUIDE WIRE SYSTEM
20220387764 · 2022-12-08 ·

A guide wire system configured to guide a medical device (e.g., a medical lead) to a target area within a patient. The guide wire system may be configured to penetrate and pass through a tissue wall in the patient to guide the medical device to the target area. The guide wire system includes a support section configured to expand to substantially maintain a position relative to the tissue wall. The guide wire system includes a pull wire configured to cause the support portion to expand. The expanded support section may provide counter-traction to a distal force on the tissue wall exerted by a medical device during, for example, fixation of the medical device to the target area, or other stages of an implantation. The support section is configured to re-establish an initial configuration for proximal withdrawal from the tissue wall.

Injector for ocular implant

An injector (1) for implanting a sensor implant (2) in the human or animal eye, in particular for the suprachoroidal implantation of a pressure sensor for the wireless measurement of the intraocular pressure, is improved in terms of rapid, complication-free, low-trauma and low-wear suprachoroidal implantation in that, to accommodate the sensor implant, the injector (1) has a substantially tubular injection chamber (8), the inner wall surfaces (9, 10) of which have a non-rotationally symmetrical cross section, preferably an oval or rectangular cross section, in that, at a free end, the injection chamber (8) is provided with an injection opening (13), through which, during implantation, the sensor implant (2) can slide out and slide into a sclera incision in the eye, wherein the inner wall surfaces (9, 10) of the injection chamber (8) enclose the likewise non-rotationally symmetrical cross section of the sensor implant (8) and prevent a rotation of the sensor implant (2) about an axis of rotation extending in the direction of the injection (11).

Medical device comprising an electrode and a light source
11583233 · 2023-02-21 · ·

A device for insertion into soft tissue including a micro electrode, a micro light source; a stiffening element having a material dissolvable or degradable in aqueous body fluid or a material swellable in such fluid to form a transparent gel; a coat of a flexible non-conducting polymer material on the stiffening element; a base disposed at the rear end of the device. The flexible coat has a distal opening allowing light emitted from the light source to leave the device upon said collapse or dissolution or swelling. Also disclosed is a therapeutic or diagnostic device formed in the tissue from the insertable device, uses thereof, and a method of disposing the insertable device in soft tissue.
