System and method for display of subcutaneous cardiac monitoring data

A system and method for display of subcutaneous cardiac monitoring data are provided. Cutaneous action potentials of a patient and other sensed data associated with the patient are recorded as electrocardiogram (EGC) data over a set time period using a subcutaneous insertable cardiac monitor. A set of R-wave peaks is identified within the ECG data and an R-R interval plot is constructed. A difference between recording times of successive pairs of the R-wave peaks in the set is determined. A heart rate associated with each difference is also determined. The pairs of the R-wave peaks and associated heart rate are plotted as the R-R interval plot. A diagnosis of cardiac disorder is facilitated based on patterns of the plotted pairs of the R-wave peaks, the associated heart rates in the R-R interval plot, and background data based on the other sensed data.

An ingestible device for sampling material at least one time is provided. The ingestible device includes a first chamber that is enlargeable in volume and that includes an inlet, and that can be filled with the material to be sampled, a second chamber that is diminishable in volume and that includes an outlet, and a reversible actuating mechanism. The reversible actuating mechanism is configured such that triggering the reversible actuating mechanism leads to an enlargement of the first chamber to collect the material to be sampled through the inlet and also leads to a diminishment of the second chamber.

GASTRIC RESIDENT ELECTRONICS

Gastric resident electronics, devices, systems, and related methods are generally provided. Some embodiments comprise administering (e.g., orally) an (electronic) resident structure to a subject (e.g., a patient) such that the (electronic) resident structure is retained at a location internal to the subject for a particular amount of time (e.g., at least about 24 hours) before exiting said location internal to the subject. In some embodiments, the resident structure is a gastric resident electronic. That is to say, in some embodiments, the resident structure is configured for relatively long gastric residence and comprises an electronic component. In some embodiments, the structures and components described herein may comprise one or more components configured for the delivery of an active substance(s) (e.g., a pharmaceutical agent) to the subject. In some embodiments, the device has a modular design, combining an electronic component(s) with materials configured for controlled and/or tunable degradation/dissolution to determine the time at which (gastric) residence is lost and the device exits the location internal to the subject. For example, in some embodiments, the resident structure comprises an electronic component and one or more additional components associated with the electronic component such that the resident structure is configured to be retained at a location internal to a subject for greater than or equal to 24 hours.
