Oximetry Probe with Electronically Selectable Tissue Depth Analysis

An oximeter probe includes a probe unit or a base unit and a probe tip where the probe tip has a number of sources and detectors that can be accessed individually or in differing combinations for measuring tissue oxygen saturation at different tissue depth in tissue. A processor of the oximeter probe controls a multiplexer that is coupled to the detectors for selectively collecting measurement information from the detectors via the multiplexer. The oximeter probe is user programmable via one or more input devices on the oximeter probe for selecting the particular sources and detectors to collect measurement information from by the processor.

COMFORT BAND FOR WEARING WITH AN ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE BRACELET

A comfort band is configured to be worn between an electronic surveillance bracelet and a leg of a wearer. The comfort band includes a tubular elastic element adapted to retain the comfort band on the leg of the wearer. The comfort band further includes a cushion provided along a lower edge of the elastic element so that the cushion is located towards the foot of the wearer. The cushion extends outwardly from the elastic element and is arranged so as to form an abutment for an end face of the electronic surveillance bracelet.

Insert imaging device for surgical procedures

Insertable imaging devices and use methods thereof in minimally invasive medical procedures. Some insertable imaging devices are introduced and removed from an access port without disturbing or risking damage to internal tissue. Some insertable imaging devices are integrated with an access port, thereby allowing imaging of internal tissues within a vicinity of the access port, while enabling manipulation of surgical tools in the surgical field of interest. Some insertable imaging devices are integrated into an imaging sleeve that is insertable into an access port. Some insertable imaging devices perform imaging within an access port, wherein the imaging is based on one or more imaging modalities, including, but are not limited to, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, optical imaging, such as hyperspectral imaging and optical coherence tomography, and electrical conductive measurements.

Device And Method For Sleeve Shield and Wrap Shield For Hygienic Protection
20230172462 · 2023-06-08 ·

The disclosed inventive concept is essentially a hygienic shield. The hygienic shield may comprise two basic embodiments, referred to as a Cuff Sleeve Shield and a Cuff Wrap Shield, respectively. Both versions of the hygienic shield are disposable immediately after use. The preferred embodiment and method of use of the hygienic shield is as a protective blood pressure (BP) cuff shield, constructed as a tubular apparatus made of thin, highly flexible rubber. In the alternate embodiment and method of use, the hygienic shield is fabricated from a planar segment of rectangular material, preferably blue nitrile rubber of 4.0 mm thickness. The Cuff Wrap Shield further is fabricated with a first means of attachment at a first side of the Cuff Wrap Shield and a second means of corresponding attachment integral to a directly opposing second side. Thus, when joined at the seam, there is ultimately formed a tubular sleeve apparatus.

Device for measuring the amount of water in a subject's body

A device (100) for measuring the amount of water in a subject's body includes a main body part (110) formed in a linear shape and an insertion part (120) extending in a curved shape from one end of the main body part (100). The insertion part (120) includes a tip side insertion part (120-2) having a tip surface (122) to which a sensor unit (121) is fixed and a base end side insertion part (120-1), wherein the sensor unit (121) is brought into contact with a body surface of a subject through a slide mechanism. A protective member (651) liquid-tightly covers the slide mechanism between the tip side insertion part (120-2) and a base end side insertion part (120-1). The protective member (651) smoothly connects the outer peripheral surface of the tip side insertion part (120-2) and the outer peripheral surface of the base end side insertion part (120-1).

WIRELESS PRESSURE ULCER ALERT DRESSING SYSTEM
20170281073 · 2017-10-05 ·

A wireless pressure ulcer alert dressing system for warning a patient or caregiver that soft tissue pressure or health condition has exceeded some predetermined level that over time would necessitate moving the patient to prevent or at least reduce a risk of soft tissue damage. The dressing assembly is adapted to be applied to or near a surface of the patient's body and generate electrical outputs corresponding to soft tissue pressure and other health characteristics sensed at the surface. The dressing assembly generates output signals based on the electrical outputs and corresponding to whether or not the soft tissue pressure has exceeded a predetermined pressure level during the preselected time period. The dressing assembly includes a pocket formed therein for removable, secured and protected insertion of a variety of different sensors such as multiple pressure sensors.

MONITORING DEVICE FOR ATTACHMENT TO A SURFACE OF A SUBJECT
20170238855 · 2017-08-24 ·

The invention provides a monitoring device (1) for attachment to a stance of a subject. The device comprises a data collector (2) and a processor (3) as two separate parts which can be detachably joined such that physiological signals which are detected by the data collector can be transferred to the processor for signal processing and provision of monitoring data. At least one of the data collector and the processor comprises a transducer which can convert the physiological signal to a data signal which can be processed electronically. The data collector is adapted for adhesive contact with a skin surface, and may comprise an adapter (6) for the detachable attachment of the processor.

PACKAGE STRUCTURE, ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PACKAGE STRUCTURE
20170243049 · 2017-08-24 ·

A package structure, an electronic device and a method for manufacturing the package structure are presented. The package structure comprises: a substrate (100), a sensing module (200) disposed on an upper surface of the substrate (100) and electrically connected to the substrate (100), and a package colloid (300) disposed on the upper surface of the substrate (100) and coating at least one portion of the sensing module (200), wherein the sensing module (200) comprises a capacitive sensor (210) and an optical sensor (220), and the package colloid (300) comprises at least one portion of a photic zone (310) disposed corresponding to the optical sensor (220). Thus, the capacitive sensor and the optical sensor can be packaged in one package structure, so as to improve the degree of integration of the package structure and save the package space.
