DRILL LIMIT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A drill limit system includes a holder having drill stops removably coupled thereto and configured to receive a drill bit therethrough, and a platform coupled to the holder and configured to engage a tip end of the drill bits when received through the drill stops, wherein the holder and platform are movable relative to each other so that the position of the drill stops relative to the drill bits may be selectively varied. A method for attaching drill stops to a drill bit includes providing a holder and a platform movable relative to each other, the holder having a plurality of drill stops removably coupled thereto, inserting a plurality of drill bits through respective drill stops, moving the holder and platform relative to each other to select a desired height of the drill stops on the bits, and engaging the drill stops to the drill bits at the selected height.
ASSISTED GUIDANCE AND NAVIGATION METHOD IN INTRAORAL SURGERY
An assisted guidance and navigation method in intraoral surgeries is a method using computerized tomography (CT) photography and an optical positioning system to track medical appliances, the method including: first providing an optical positioning treatment instrument and an optical positioning device; then obtaining image data of the intraoral tissue receiving treatment through CT photography, precisely displaying actions of the treatment instrument in the image data, and real-time checking an image and guidance and navigation. Therefore, during the surgery, the existing use habits of the physicians are not affected and accurate and convenient auxiliary information is provided, and attention is paid to using the treatment instrument in physical environments such as a patient's tooth or dental model.
3D system and method for guiding objects
A method for providing a guided relative movement of a first object and a second object includes obtaining the first object; obtaining the second object and a 3D model of the second object, and deriving from the 3D model a first preferred relative arrangement between the first and second objects; obtaining a pre-process plan describing a preferred path for the relative movement of the first and second objects towards the first preferred relative arrangement; performing a movement procedure that includes 3D scanning at least a region of said second object using the 3D scanner and determining a present relative arrangement of the first and second objects from a result of the 3D scanning; calculating information for correcting in real-time for deviation in the relative movement from the preferred path; and providing a relative movement of the first and second objects towards the first preferred relative arrangement.
SPLINT DEVICE FORMING A FIDUCIAL MARKER CO-OPERABLE WITH A GUIDANCE SYSTEM OF A ROBOT
A splint device (100) co-operable with a guidance system of a robot is provided. In some aspects, a splint body (200) is fixedly coupled to a first object (102) disposed within a pliable housing (104) defining an opening. The splint body includes a laterally-extending medial portion (202) having opposed lateral sides (204, 206), and first and second stabilizing portions (208, 210) extending therefrom and extending about and affixed to the first object. In some aspects, the splint body includes a retractor (300) having a first portion (302) coupled to the splint body, and a second portion (304) extending away from the splint body and engaging the pliable housing about the opening to retract and maintain the pliable housing away from the first object, such that the first object is accessible through the opening, and/or a spacer (400) engaged with the splint body and cooperating with the splint body to separate a second object (106) from the first object within the pliable housing.
Surgical device and methods of use
A surgical device for identification of a surgical site of interest, such as a craniofacial or dental site (root apex of an identified tooth), and a method for using the device is provided. The device includes a perimeter bar and a plurality of intermediate cross bars arranged in a grid structure. The device can be used during a surgical procedure requiring enhanced precision, such as during an endodontic surgical procedure, by positioning the device next to a patient's tooth and capturing a CBCT image, the CBCT image being used to identify a drilling location. The device can be repositioned alongside the patient's tooth, and used to identify an accurate drilling position.
Surgical drill type cutting tool
A surgical drill type cutting tool includes a shank and an active portion extending in the extension of the shank, with chip areas extending along the active portion, and a ring surrounding a part of the active portion, an inner surface of the ring engaging the active portion without closing off the chip areas, allowing irrigation fluid to provides useful irrigation over most of the length of the active portion of the surgical drill bit.
Method Tool And Method Of Operating A Machine Tool
The present invention relates to a dental guide system (100) for tooth preparation, comprising an electronic detection system (101) for detecting a three-dimensional actual tooth shape (103-I); a comparing device (105) for ascertaining spatial deviation regions (107), at which the ascertained actual tooth shape (103-I) deviates from a specified desired tooth shape (103-S); and data glasses (109) having a display device (111) for optically displaying the spatial deviation regions (107).
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DENTAL SURGICAL GUIDE VERIFICATION
An in-vivo dental surgical guide verification method including: receiving first information including: dental surgical guide information of a dental surgical guide, and hard structure information of a hard structure of a patient's mouth; positioning the surgical guide within the patient's mouth; contacting a stylus to a surface of the hard structure of the patient mouth; acquiring image information corresponding to an image which includes at least a portion of the stylus and a portion of the dental surgical guide therein using an imager; and comparing the image information with the first information.
Access guide and drill kit to be used with same for endodontic access cavity preparation and method of use
A set of drill bits and/or burrs for attaching to a hand piece and fitting into an access guide during endodontic access cavity preparation is provided. The drill bits are optionally grouped into two types: a high speed, friction grip attachment type drill bit and a slow speed, latch attachment type drill bit. Each of the drill bits has a different longitudinal length for performing different functions during operation procedures. A method of performing an endodontic access cavity preparation with the set of drill bits is also provided.
METHOD FOR DESIGNING A PROSTHETIC ELEMENT
A disclosed method for designing a prosthetic element is executable prior to a cutting of a tooth of a patient for placing the prosthetic element.
