Guided dental implantation system and associated device and method
A dental implantation system is provided, comprising an implantation device adapted to prepare a site within a mouth of a patient for receiving a dental implant. A guidance device is operably engaged with the implantation device and is adapted to operably engage the mouth of the patient. The engagement between the guidance device and the mouth of the patient provides a fiducial marker for guiding the implantation device to prepare the site for receiving the dental implant. An associated method of implanting a dental implant, and associated devices, are also provided.
FULL-SCANNER BARRIER FOR AN INTRA-ORAL DEVICE
Removable barrier devices (e.g., sleeves) for covering medical scanning devices to reduce the chance of cross-contamination between patients and/or to protect the scanning devices from physical damage. The barrier device can include a cover that has an integrated window for passing optical signals between the scanning device and an external environment. The cover can include a sleeve that covers a handle portion of the scanning device to prevent contamination of the handle from a user's hand or glove. The cover and sleeve may both be formed of the same flexible material, or the cover may be rigid to maintain the window in a fixed position and the sleeve may be flexible to allow a user to activate a button or touchpad on the handle. An interface region between the cover and sleeve may provide a hermetic seal. The window may include a nanostructured antireflective material to limit internal reflections.
Tail cap for dental equipment
A tail cap is disclosed having a body portion having a top side and a bottom side with the bottom side having a first plug portion and a second plug portion, a pull, and a central portion connected between the body portion and the pull. Another tail cap is disclosed having a body portion having a top side and a bottom side with the bottom side having a first plug portion and a second plug portion and the top side having a third plug portion and a fourth plug portion, a pull, and a central portion connected between the body portion and the pull.

Handpiece head for a dental handpiece
The invention relates to a handpiece head (1) comprising a housing (2) and a closing cap (3), wherein the housing (2) is releasably connected to the closing cap (3) by means of a screw connection (4). The closing cap (3) comprises at least one recess (8) or at least one elevation (7), wherein the housing (2) correspondingly comprises at least one elevation (7) or at least one recess (8). When the closing cap (3) is screwed in, the elevation (7) on the housing (2) engages in the corresponding recess (8) on the closing cap (3) or the elevation (7) on the closing cap (3) engages in the corresponding recess (8) on the housing (2), so that an inadvertent release of the closing cap from the housing (2) as a result of vibrations of the handpiece head (1) is prevented by the engagement.

TIP FOR AN OPTICAL SCANNER
A tip for an optical scanner, where said tip includes a framework and an optical element. For some configurations the optical element is releasable attaching to the framework by a holding means of the tip. For some configurations the tip framework is formed in two materials of different thermal conductivities.

Osteotome set for dental implant socket formation with alternating base and crestal work areas
A number of osteotomes, n, form a set of osteotomes, for use during a ridge expansion osteotomy to reduce alveolar stress and to reduce likelihood of a fracture, with each osteotome of the set having a conical working tip with a free end having a diameter .sub.An, and a working base .sub.Bn; a first osteotome, n=1, of the set has the working tip formed with a first diameter, .sub.A1=Y, at the free end, and with a second diameter, .sub.B1X, at the working base, the second diameter being larger than the first diameter, X>Y; and wherein for successive osteotomes of the set, the diameter at the free end increases as an alternate step and regressive step sequence, and the diameter at the working base alternately increases by a constant increment c, as a step function.
