FISH HANDLING APPARATUS AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
A fish handling apparatus comprises a supply arrangement arranged to supply a plurality of fish and a receiving arrangement arranged to receive and distribute a single fish of the plurality of fish. A conveying device is arranged between the supply arrangement and the receiving arrangement. The conveying device is further arranged to remove the single fish from the plurality of fish received by the supply arrangement and to convey the single fish to the receiving arrangement. A suction system is operably engaged with the conveying device and is arranged to apply suction to the single fish via the conveying device so as to attract the single fish into engagement with the conveying device. An associated method is also provided.
Food product loader for food process lines
A food-product loader has a conveyor passing through its cabinet, and the cabinet is formed with a bulk hopper. The loader is loaded with elongate pieces of food-product by way of dumping a heaping mass of the food-product pieces into the bulk hopper all at one time. The loader ultimately handles the heap of food-product pieces such that, the loader loads the pieces onto the conveyor in neat lanes, with individual pieces slightly spaced apart from one another. To do this, the loader is constructed with a series or array of soft-sided dispensing sleeves or funnels which are mechanically massaged to tease out one piece at a time, and only one piece at a time.

The present invention relates to a gripping device for picking up, conveying, and delivering a product, the gripping device including: a base structure which may be attached to a handling device by means of a coupling element, preferably so in a non-destructively detachable manner; at least two gripper members having each at least one bottom surface and at least one top surface, said top surface of the gripper members facing towards the coupling element and said bottom surfaces of the gripper members facing away from the coupling element; at least one drive means for reversibly moving the gripper members between a first position, in which the gripper members may be positioned on opposite sides of the product to be picked up, and a second position, in which the gripper members seize the product to be picked up; and an abutment plate which is at least approximately supported by the top surfaces of the gripper members.

An apparatus for automatically recovering meat from headed and gutted fish comprises: a transport device for transporting the fish along a transport path in a transport direction; a measuring device for detecting an anatomy of the fish; and a detaching device for detaching the meat from a bone structure of the fish, wherein the detaching device comprises at least two circular knives which are spaced apart from each other on mutually opposing sides of the transport path to form a gap S; wherein: the detaching device comprises a control device to adjust a width of the gap S depending on the anatomy of the fish, the control device is configured to pre-adjust the width of the gap S before the meat is detached from the bone structure and wherein the control device is configured to vary the width of the gap S while the meat is being detached.
