ENDODONTIC INSTRUMENT
An endodontic instrument for anatomically shaping a root canal of a human tooth, having a base portion, which can be mounted on a holding device and can be rotated around a reference axis A. The endodontic instrument has a working part with an abrasive surface, at least a part of which extends from the base member and has an axis which is arranged angular with respect to a reference axis. The central axis of the base portion and the central axis of working portion enclose an angle a greater than zero, and/or wherein the central axis of the working portion is offset in parallel to the reference axis of the base member by a distance r. The working part is made of a flexible material having a yield strength of less than 200 MPa.

ENDODONTIC HANDPIECE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An endodontic handpiece comprises a handle assembly and an endodontic tool. The handle assembly comprises a handle housing, a chuck assembly, a bearing system for supporting the chuck assembly for rotation relative to the handle housing, a first drive system for rotating the chuck assembly, and first and second drive systems. The endodontic tool defines a support portion and a working portion. The chuck assembly transfers movement of the chuck assembly to the endodontic tool. The endodontic handpiece operates in at least one of first, second, and third modes in which the first drive system causes rotation of the endodontic tool through the chuck assembly, the second drive system causes vibration of the endodontic tool, and/or the first drive system causes rotation of the endodontic tool through the chuck assembly.

Root canal treating display device, root canal treating unit, and dental image display method
A root canal treatment information apparatus includes circuitry which stores three-dimensional information including information on a root canal of teeth in a storage, the three-dimensional information being acquired by an X-ray CT image capturing device, specify a tooth as a target of interest, generate a tooth image of the tooth, instruct display of the tooth image on a display, generate, based on the three-dimensional information, a root canal extension direction image showing a root canal extension direction along the root canal of the tooth, and instruct display of the root canal extension direction image on the display as overlapping, and in correspondence with, the tooth image.

DENTAL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TOOL TO HANDPIECE COMMUNICATION
A device, apparatus and method for enabling communication between a tool and a handpiece through a contactless interface while reducing space requirements for communication antennas of the apparatus. The apparatus comprises a dental tool and a handpiece with a transponder attached to or integrated with the dental tool. The transponder comprises a memory region such as a microchip, which is connected to a transponder antenna. The handpiece also includes a reader which communicates with the transponder through a reader antenna. The antennas as constructed as layers on surfaces of one or more substrates save space.
