FIXING PIECE FIRING DEVICE FOR DENTAL MEMBRANE
The present invention relates to a fixing piece firing device for a dental membrane, the device being capable of firing the fixing piece to fix the dental membrane that covers a graft site after bone graft during implant surgery, and of facilitating access into an oral cavity due to a tip part with a curved front end, thus enabling a quick and easy procedure without using a typical dental drill.
Devices and methods for minimally invasive immediate implant stabilization
A system for the amelioration of a recess (56) in a porous material, said system comprising an element (2) for coupling in mechanical energy, and a cylindrical collar (4, 40) having a central recess (44,45) for a guide pin (8), wherein the pin (8), having a cannulation (35), is provided to be inserted as far as the bottom of the recess (56) using a wire (52), wherein the pin (8) is surrounded by an amelioration sleeve (7), wherein the external cylindrical jacket surface of the sleeve (7) has substantially the same external diameter as the collar (4, 40), and wherein the pin (8) is received movably in the central recess (44,45) such that, when mechanical energy is applied, the collar (4,40) can be moved relative to the guide pin (8) in the direction toward the bottom of the recess (8) while liquefying and displacing the material of the sleeve (7).
BONE-BONDED ARTIFICIAL TOOTH STRUCTURE
A bone-bonded artificial tooth structure for fixing to a patient's partially atrophied and gum covered alveolar bone includes a base portion having opposed lower and upper connecting sections located below and above a peak of the atrophied alveolar bone, respectively, the lower connecting section being in contact with the atrophied alveolar bone, and one side of the upper connecting section opposed to the atrophied alveolar bone defining a connecting surface; a tooth portion fixed to the connecting surface; and a dental anchor having an anchoring section inserted into the atrophied alveolar bone and another anchoring section inserted in the base portion to restrict the base portion from displacing relative to the alveolar bone. The bone-bonded artificial tooth structure fixed to the alveolar bone can immediately provide good supporting strength for chewing food without needing to wait for a long time for the osseointegration of the bone with the base portion.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR ADHESION TO SURFACES
The present disclosure features adhesive compositions and methods of use thereof related to the medical, veterinary, and dental fields.
OROANTRAL PROSTHETIC ATTACHMENT
An Oroantral Prosthetic Attachment placed in the remaining bone to anchor in the antral zone of the paranasal sinuses using the internal cortical of the paranasal sinuses and the external cortical of the crestal zone is described. This makes the implant not to migrate to the paranasal sinuses since a supreme anchorage is performed compacting the bone with no injury, and avoids previous bone regeneration surgeries in the paranasal sinuses.
Customized porous supracrestal implant and materials and methods forming them
The present invention generally relates to osseointegrated implants. In particular, embodiments of the present invention relate to extraosseous implants, for example, supra crestal implants, that are configured to substantially continuously cover the 3D topography of a top and a lateral surface of a bone, for example, a crestal and a lateral surface of the jaw. For example, the implants may be used on partially or completely edentulous jaws. Also, embodiments of the present invention relate to such implants made from biocompatible material of suitable porosity and elastic modulus. Specifically, embodiments of the present invention relate to improved implants suitable for implantation to bone deficient in quantity or quality, such as severely resorbed jaw bone. Further embodiments relate to a unique composite material comprising PEEK, bioglass and PMMA, and formed using triacrylate.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RING-SHAPED BONE GRAFTING SUBSTITUTE
Provided is a method for manufacturing a ring-shaped bone grafting substitute. The method for manufacturing a ring-shaped bone grafting substitute includes a biodegradable polymer providing step of providing a biodegradable polymer, a molding material providing step of providing a molding material in which the biodegradable polymer and a bone material are mixed; a molding material injection step of injecting the molding material into a ring-shaped mold such that a hole is formed in the center thereof; and ring-shaped bone grafting substitute molding step of freeze-drying the molding material having been injected into the ring-shaped mold at a temperature lower than a predetermined reference temperature, thereby molding the resultant into a ring-shaped bone grafting substitute.
DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM
A dental implant and final prosthetic placement system for small-diameter implants (and method for using the system) in which a final prosthetic is digitally designed and created, and is itself used as the drill guide to place the implants. The final prosthetic is held in the predetermined proper drilling position by a stent, such as an occlusal guard. The combination of final prosthetic (with holes through which the small-diameter implants are drilled to secure it) and the stent encasing the final prosthetic, is itself the drill guide.
Methods and devices for countering gingival effects in dental restoration
A dental restoration system including a dental prosthesis having an occlusal body having defined therein a cavity and having an outer profile; and a dental abutment having a main body with a gingival part for anchoring to an implant and an occlusal part shaped to fit within the cavity to support cementation of the dental prosthesis, wherein the occlusal part of the main body has an outer profile radially closer to the longitudinal center axis than an outer profile of the gingival part at the interface between the occlusal part and the gingival part, thereby defining a shoulder between the occlusal part and the gingival part. The radial width of the outer profile of the dental prosthesis where it meets the shoulder is the same as or smaller than the radial width of the outer profile of the gingival part at the shoulder.
