Dental implant socket arrangement with annular recess
A threaded dental implant to be screwed into a jawbone for supporting at least one abutment and/or a dental superstructure, and having a socket arrangement with a first section and a second section with respective geometrical profiles around a longitudinal center axis of the implant. The first section cooperates with the abutment for securing the abutment in a determined position in the implant. The second section cooperates with an insertion tool for screwing the implant into the jawbone. The first section includes an annular coronal contact surface on top of an opening centric at a coronal end of the implant, followed in an apical direction by a first tapered section having a diameter decreasing in the apical direction, by a first cylindrical section, by first anti-rotational elements and by a threaded section.
Hybrid dental implant
The present invention provides for a hybrid dental implant having a screw body with at least one external thread, which includes an upper portion with an open ceiling configured to receive one or more bone inducing agents and/or therapeutic agents, a middle portion having a hollow inner channel connected to side openings, and a lower portion with a closed floor. The bone inducing agents and/or therapeutic agents are introduced through the open ceiling into the hollow inner channel into the side openings, which enables the bone tissue ingrowth into the hollow inner channel and bone tissue outgrowth from the hollow inner channel to the surrounding bone. It also provides for a method of installing and using the hybrid dental implant thereof.
SUPERSTRUCTURE, DENTAL IMPLANT AND DENTAL PROSTHESIS
Superstructure and dental implant each with an interface that allows direct attachment of the superstructure to the dental implant without the use of an abutment and can be manufactured in a cost-effective manner.
Overdenture Retention Implant and Apparatus for Installing it
One aspect of the invention concerns an overdenture retention implant (10) comprising an externally threaded implant body (12) to be screwed into a hole formed in a jawbone (70) and an implant end structure (14) at a proximal end of the implant body. The implant end structure includes a tool engagement portion (14.1) that can be engaged by an implant installation apparatus operable to rotate the implant to screw the body into the hole, and a threaded boss (14.2) to be engaged in threaded manner by an overdenture retention cap (100) configured for attachment of an overdenture. The tool engagement portion and boss have a common, central axis (22) which intersects the central axis (20) of the implant body at an acute angle (24). Other aspects of the invention concern the combination of the implant (10) and installation apparatus and the installation apparatus itself.
BONE SCREWS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The invention features bone screws having a threaded screw body and a screw head attached to one end of the screw body, the bone screw further including: a) an interior channel extending longitudinally through the screw head and through at least a portion of the screw body, wherein the interior channel has a width of less than 5.0 millimeters; and b) a plurality of radially-disposed delivery channels connecting the interior channel to the exterior of the screw body, each delivery channel having exterior openings. The invention further features devices that include a bone screw and a delivery manifold detachably attached to the screw head of the bone screw. In addition, the invention features methods of treating a patient having a bone defect by using a bone screw described herein.
DENTAL IMPLANT WITH IMPROVED THREADING
A dental implant includes an implant body extending along a longitudinal axis between a coronal end and an apical end, the implant body having a core along which a helical threading having at least one thread extends. The dental implant includes at least one section in which the threading has a height which gradually decreases in the direction of the coronal end and in which the core is tapered in the direction of the apical end, the thread including an apical surface facing the apical end of the dental implant, a coronal surface facing the coronal end of the dental implant, and a peripheral lateral surface connecting the apical surface and the coronal surface of the thread. The apical surface of the thread has, in a cross-sectional view along the longitudinal axis, a first profile repeating according to an apical pitch. The coronal surface of the thread has, in a cross-sectional view along the longitudinal axis, a second profile repeating according to a coronal pitch. In one section, the apical pitch is greater than the coronal pitch.
Dental Implant
A dental implant that facilitate insertion and can be used in all bone types. The implant includes a body having a coronal end, and an apical end opposite the coronal end. A tapered region may be adjacent the apical end. On the apical part one or more taps are provided so the tap is cutting when rotating, clockwise and counter-clockwise The implant can have at least one variable profile helical thread that extends along the tapered region. The implant can have also micro-threads below the main threads, a gradual compressing tapered core, a self drilling apical end and a narrow coronal region.
DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM
A dental implant system has a dental implant (1) provided with an implant frustoconical cavity (2); an abutment (19) having an abutment post (20) of size and shape such as to be permanently retained in the implant frustoconical cavity (2) and an abutment head (22) suitable for supporting a dental crown (13); a dental transfer (4) having a transfer post (5) intended to be inserted into the implant frustoconical cavity (2) before an impression taking, and a transfer head (7) identical to the abutment head (22) of the abutment (19); and an implant analog (11) having an analog internal cavity (16) suitable for receiving the transfer post (5), and an outer surface (14) provided with undercuts (15) to be retained inside a plaster model (12) in casting a dental model into said impression. The implant frustoconical cavity (2) of the dental implant (1) is a through hole.
Precision Dental Implant System
The present dental implant, whether tapered or cylindrical, is cannulated, to allow placement over a slender post pre-embedded into the host bone. The post is a rigid, not a flexible, construct that can be placed accurately, as to position and angle, in the jawbone. With the post in the correct position, the implant is then installed directly over the temporarily anchored post, and after tightening of the implant by rotation the post is removed.
One-Piece Formed Abutment Tooth Capable of Being Adjusted Angle Thereof
A one-piece formed abutment tooth contains: an implant, a rotatable connector, a screw bolt, and a photocurable resin capsule. The implant includes a threaded section. The threaded section has a rotatable adjustment seat, and the rotatably adjustment seat has an upper connection portion. The upper connection portion has a groove, two spherical portions, and a receiving trench. The rotatable connector includes a spherical rotation face, two end faces, an abutment, an internal screwing section, and a stepped notch. The screw bolt includes an external screwing section, a rotary head, and a force segment. The external screwing section is screwed with the internal screwing section of the rotatable connector, and the rotary head is movably received in the stepped notch of the rotatable connector.
