DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM
A dental implant whereby an osteotomy cavity is formed in jawbone and then a base member of the implant is positioned into the cavity. The base member serves as a platform to secure an abutment member of the implant that in turn receives a dental restoration, such as a crown or denture.
Dental prostheses cemented onto implants and/or abutments having a reverse margin
A dental abutment, or a dental implant having an integrated abutment, in which the occlusal part of the abutment to which the dental prosthesis is to be cemented features a shoulder having a reverse margin. At the point where the shoulder meets the outer profile of the gingival part of the abutment, the shoulder is at an acute angle with respect to the longitudinal center axis of the abutment, thereby causing any cement ejected during mounting of the prosthesis to be ejected in a direction away from the gingiva.
Dental restoration system and method
A dental restoration system for a full-mouth dental replacement may include a dental restoration device having integrally formed teeth portions corresponding in number to a number of post-extraction tooth sockets of an entire maxillary or mandibular arch of a patient and abutment holes extending through teeth portions having a longitudinal axis that is substantially coaxially aligned with a tooth portion axis; straight implants secured within post-extraction tooth sockets having an implant axis that is substantially coaxially aligned with a tooth socket axis; abutments received within corresponding abutment holes and securable to corresponding implants by passing an abutment screw through each abutment and threadably securing the abutment screw within a threaded opening of a corresponding straight implant, wherein upon securing each of the abutments to the corresponding straight implants, an ovate pontic portion of the dental restoration device body seals against keratinized gingiva of the corresponding post-extraction tooth socket.
INTEGRATED SUPPORT DEVICE FOR PROVIDING TEMPORARY PRIMARY STABILITY TO DENTAL IMPLANTS AND PROSTHESIS, AND RELATED METHODS
Integrated support devices for providing temporary primary stability to a dental prosthesis implant, each individually designed and manufactured for a specific pre-identify patient are also provided. An integrated support device can include a prosthesis interface member configured to connect to an abutment or reduced sized portion of a dental prosthesis/implant. The integrated support device also includes one or more bonding wings for connecting to the adjacent healthy teeth.
Restoration dental implant and method
An implant fixture is disclosed. The implant fixture contains an elongated shaft section, and a head section, wherein the head section contains at least one concave area for bone growth therein.
Abutment system for immediate implants for producing a dental prosthesis
The invention relates to an abutment system (200) for use in the area of the front teeth and premolars, with an abutment base (102) which comprises a first interface (107) for placement on an implant and a second interface (123) for fixing a crown or suprastructure. The abutment base (102) has a scalloped top side (104) and the implant defines an implant axis (AI). The abutment base (102) has a three-dimensional shape which is designed asymmetrically relative to the implant axis (AI). Moreover, it has a lateral surface region (111) which has a concave shape when viewed in a vertical section. Additionally, the abutment system (200) comprises a separate prosthetic post (210) which can be fixed in the area of the scalloped top side (104) of the abutment base (102), wherein the prosthetic post (210) extends coaxially to the implant axis (AI) when fixed.
REINFORCING SPLINT FOR ORAL APPLIANCE
An oral appliance includes a reinforcing member or splint embedded within a polymer shell. The reinforcing member or splint includes an anterior portion embedded within an anterior wall of the polymeric shell, a posterior portion embedded within a posterior wall of the polymeric shell, and a transverse portion embedded within a transverse plate of the polymeric shell. The reinforcing member or splint is operative for preventing movement of the user's dentition over time when wearing the oral appliance.
Dental implant
A dental implant including an implant body having a top surface, and at least one non-annular cutaway portion longitudinally extending downwardly from the top surface along one side of the body and outwardly to the periphery, and a method for making the implant. The implant body preferably includes a body portion and a head portion integrally formed with the body portion, the body portion has a periphery and the head portion has a non-circular periphery, and the periphery of the head portion is smaller than the periphery of the body portion.
SOFT-TISSUE PRESERVATION ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD
According to one aspect of the present invention, a soft tissue preservation arrangement includes a hollow shell defining an interior volume extending from a proximal opening to a distal opening. The proximal opening is defined by a first perimeter that is smaller than a second perimeter defining the distal opening such that the shell tapers outwardly from the first perimeter to the second perimeter. The second perimeter is asymmetrically scalloped. The hollow shell either (1) is transparent or semi-transparent or (2) has a color configured to correspond to a color of a gingival tissue or a tooth.
