Also disclosed is a prosthesis obtained by this method.
Method of manufacturing removable denture, removable denture, and removable denture manufacturing apparatus
Removable denture data of a removable denture is produced, and disk frame data of a disk frame in which the removable denture is accommodated is produced, thereby building the disk frame based on the disk frame data. Next, a resin disk in which artificial teeth are embedded is produced by arranging the artificial teeth in the disk frame and curing a base resin, and a denture base is milled by milling the resin disk based on the removable denture data, thereby manufacturing the removable denture in which a base side of the artificial teeth is embedded in the denture base. As a result, artificial teeth having an excellent aesthetics may be used, it is possible to firmly join the artificial teeth and the denture base to each other, and it is possible to manufacture a removable denture with a favorable restoration accuracy of the artificial teeth.
Dental prosthesis and method of its production utilizing standardized framework keys and matching premanufactured teeth
A system including a method and associated structures creates efficiencies in the manufacture of prosthetic tooth support frameworks. Pre-manufactured teeth with matching internal keys are used in the setup of a patient prototype. Each key includes a shaft, a cervical platform, a retention knob and preferably at least one channel for the expulsion of excess adhesive fluid. The cervical platforms are shaped to provide intimate contact with a base of their respective tooth. The same tooth/key pairs are then used to make a framework pattern from the setup positioning. The pattern can be cast or scanned for direct machining to produce the finished framework.
PREFORM FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A DENTAL PROSTHESIS
A preform intended for the production of a dental prosthesis. The preform includes a group of agglomerated ceramic, glass-ceramic or glass particles, such that, as volume percents: more than 40% and less than 90% of the particles of said group have a size greater than 0.5 ?m and less than 3,5 ?m, said particles hereinafter being denoted enamel particles, and more than 10% and less than 60% of the particles of said group have a size greater than 3.5 ?m and less than 5.5 ?m, said particles hereinafter being denoted dentine particles. The microstructure of the preform is such that there is an axis X, termed axis of variation, along which the Ve/(Ve+Vd) ratio changes continuously, Ve and Vd denoting the volume percents of enamel particles and of dentine particles, respectively. The enamel and dentine particles representing, together, more than 90% of the volume of the agglomerated particles.
THERMOPLASTIC DENTURE FRAMES, METHODS FOR MAKING THERMOPLASTIC DENTURE FRAMES AND DENTURES CONTAINING THERMOPLASTIC DENTURE FRAMES
Described herein are thermoplastic denture frames having significantly improved lifetimes as well as comfort. The denture frames include a polymer composition including at least one poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) polymer and at least one polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) polymer. It was surprisingly discovered that the polymer compositions have significantly improved color stability, relative to corresponding polymer compositions including PEEK polymer as the only polymeric component of the polymer composition. Additionally, the polymer compositions have significantly improved toughness, flexibility and dimensional stability. The combination of the aesthetic characteristics and mechanical characteristics of the polymer compositions allows for denture frames having improved lifetimes and comfort.
DENTURE MOLDING FLASK HAVING CHECK VALVE INSTALLED THEREIN AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DENTURE PROSTHESIS USING DENTURE MOLDING FLASK MADE OF HETEROGENEOUS MATERIALS
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a denture prosthesis by using a denture molding flask made of heterogeneous materials, the denture molding flask being composed of a left body (110) and a right body (120) coupled to each other to form an assembled structure, in which: a resin injection hole (104) is formed at a top portion of the assembled structure; an investment material injection hole (103) is provided to be spaced from the resin injection hole (104); a wax outlet (106) is formed at a bottom portion of the assembled structure such that molten wax is discharged out of the assembled structure when a wax denture base and an investment material in the assembled structure are heated and melted; and a void that is formed due to the wax denture base being melted is refilled with resin, wherein the left and right bodies (110, 120) are made of different materials.
PROCESSING TARGET MOLD AND POST-SHAVING ITEM PRODUCTION METHOD
A processing target mold is usable to form, by molding, a processing target to be shaved by a shaving device. The processing target includes a hold portion held by the shaving device, a target portion to be formed into a post-shaving item, and a coupling portion coupling the hold portion with the target portion. A main body of the processing target mold includes a bottom member, an outer frame member extending upward from the bottom member, and a protruding member extending upward from a portion of the bottom member that is enclosed by the outer frame member as seen in a plan view. The main body includes an injection space enclosed by the bottom member and the outer frame member. A material is injected into the injection space. The injection space includes a hold space, a target space and a coupling space in which the hold portion, the target portion and the coupling portion are respectively formed by molding.
DENTAL PROSTHESIS AND METHOD FOR REMOVAL
A dental prosthesis including a prosthesis base and at least one artificial tooth, and including at least one micro drive for detaching the dental prosthesis from an alveolar crest. The invention further relates to a method for removing such a dental prosthesis from an oral cavity, wherein the dental prosthesis is detached from an alveolar crest in the oral cavity by means of a micro drive and then manually removed from the oral cavity. In order to detach a dental prosthesis adhering to the alveolar crest, the micro drive according to the invention is a micro motor which drives a lifting means which lifts the dental prosthesis from the alveolar crest.
