Stress-reduced denture base disc
09662189 · 2017-05-30 · ·

A method and apparatus for making a denture base disc that is used subsequently to form a removable denture. A vessel with an elastomeric lining is used to form the denture base disc so that the compression of the elastomeric material is approximately equivalent to the shrinkage of the denture base disc material during its polymerization. The vessel and elastomeric lining contained therein work cooperatively to cause the denture base disc to cure in a homogenous manner with consistent pressure on all sides so that residual stresses in the finished disc are minimized.

DENTAL PROSTHESIS AND METHOD OF ITS PRODUCTION UTILIZING STANDARDIZED FRAMEWORK KEYS AND MATCHING PREMANUFACTURED TEETH
20170112599 · 2017-04-27 ·

A system including a method and associated structures creates efficiencies in the manufacture of prosthetic tooth support frameworks. Pre-manufactured teeth with matching internal keys are used in the setup of a patient prototype. Each key includes a shaft, a cervical platform, a retention knob and preferably at least one channel for the expulsion of excess adhesive fluid. The cervical platforms are shaped to provide intimate contact with a base of their respective tooth. The same tooth/key pairs are then used to make a framework pattern from the setup positioning. The pattern can be cast or scanned for direct machining to produce the finished framework.

Method of installing a final dental prosthesis
09554879 · 2017-01-31 ·

A cradle, assembly, system and method for installing a prosthesis at a surgical site. The cradle temporarily engages the prosthesis and holds it in the correct orientation and position adjacent the surgical site. An aperture is defined in the cradle and a portion of the prosthesis is received therein. In one embodiment, the cradle, assembly and system are used to install a final dental prosthesis in a patient's mouth in a single visit to the dentist's office. A securement member pins the surgical template and subsequently the cradle to the jaw. A reinforced sub-structure on the final dental prosthesis is received in the aperture in the cradle. Cylinders attached to implants anchored in the jaw extend through holes in the sub-structure and are bonded to the prosthesis. The cradle is detached from the jaw and from the prosthesis prior to screws being re-inserted through the cylinders and into the implants.

PHOTOCURABLE COMPOSITION, THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODELING PRODUCT, MOLD, METHOD OF PRODUCING CURED PRODUCT, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING PLATE DENTURE

A photocurable composition, contains a (meth)acrylic monomer component, and photopolymerization initiator, in a case in which a rectangular sheet-like test piece A1 with a length of 40 mm, a width of 10 mm, and a thickness of 1.0 mm is produced by photomodeling under conditions in which the photocurable composition is irradiated with visible light having a wavelength of 405 nm at an irradiation dose of 11 mJ/cm.sup.2 to form a cured layer A1 with a thickness of 50 m, the cured layer A1 is stacked in a thickness direction thereof to form a rectangular sheet-like modeling product A1 with a length of 40 mm, a width of 10 mm, and a thickness of 1.0 mm, and the modeling product A1 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 365 nm at an irradiation dose of 3 J/cm.sup.2 to produce the test piece A1.

A method according to the disclosure herein includes producing, via additive manufacturing, a first mold portion having a first recess based on a tooth portion of a patient mouth; producing, via additive manufacturing, a second mold portion having a second recess based on a gum portion of the patient mouth; positioning at least one artificial tooth in the first recess; aligning the first mold portion with the second mold portion to form a mold assembly having a cavity defined by the first recess and the second recess; filling the cavity with a resin; and removing a partial denture from the mold, the partial denture formed by the resin and the at least one artificial tooth.

TRY-IN DENTURE BASE
20260000494 · 2026-01-01 ·

The invention relates to a try-in denture base comprising one or more receptions for receiving basal sections of artificial teeth. A first reception is configured to receive two or more basal sections of two or more artificial teeth. A reception volume provided by the first reception is larger than a combination of basal volumes of the two or more basal sections of the two or more artificial teeth to be received. The first reception forms a continuous open space configured to enable a relative movement of the two or more basal sections of the two or more artificial teeth within the first reception towards and away from each other.
