A prosthetic tooth includes an artificial tooth body and a liner at least partly coupled to the tooth body. The liner includes an elastically deformable material that will at least allow the tooth body to move from an unloaded position under a load, and cause the tooth body to move back towards the unloaded position when the load is reduced. Dentures (full and partial) containing one or more of the described prosthetic teeth, and associated methods of making a prosthetic tooth and a denture are also disclosed.

Dental Prosthesis Manufacturing Method

Positive models of a prosthesis base or partial prosthesis base are produced additively or generatively in 3D printing using a dental prosthesis manufacturing process. The model is then encapsulated with a curing negative mold production material, in particular plaster. In the next step, following curing of the casting material, the positive model is removed by heat. The negative mold of the base is filled with prosthetic material and is cured. The positive model is subsequently applied to the base and embedded together with it. The positive model of the dental crown is then removed. The resulting free space is filled with tooth material by injection.

A dental prosthesis is disclosed includes a prosthetic tooth element comprising ceramic and a veneer located on a surface of the prosthetic tooth element, the veneer comprising cured dental composite. The prosthetic tooth element can be fixed to a mount in a patient's mouth using the same dental composite used for the veneer. A method of forming a prosthetic tooth element is disclosed including filling a mould that is formed at least partially from flexible polymeric material with a dental mixture comprising ceramic, and applying pressure to the filled mould to form a prosthetic tooth element comprising ceramic with a roughened surface.

Resin block and process for producing the same

A resin block that can be favorably used for obtaining dental prosthetics through the milling work, containing very little voids, having excellent property for being cut, exhibiting excellent appearance and mechanical strength, and without permitting the formation of defective products. The resin block contains a thermoplastic resin having a fluidizing temperature in a range of 310 to 500 C. and inorganic particles in an amount of 30 to 150 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of said thermoplastic resin. The inorganic particles are at least one kind of inorganic oxide particles selected from the group consisting of silica particles, silica composite particles of silica and other metal oxides, titania particles, and titania composite particles of titania and other metal oxides. The resin block has a thick portion of a thickness of at least not less than 5 mm, and does not contain any void whose length is not less than 1.0 mm.

Method For Producing A Dental Prosthesis Part

The present invention relates to a method for producing a dental prosthesis part (100), comprising the steps of determining a natural tooth color value with respect to a specified region (101) of the dental prosthesis part (100); and electronically converting the natural tooth color value into a color value of a coloring liquid (103) for coloring the region (101).

Translucent veneering for a dental prosthesis formed by a press to metal process

A dental prosthesis, typically formed in a press to metal process, includes application of a porcelain composition sufficient to form a veneer on a dental prosthesis supporting metal structure, the composition having an integrated tooth-like translucency providing an aesthetic appearance. The composition is formed of a dentin frit and an enamel frit, typically sintered into a desired ingot shape including an amount of composition sufficient to veneer the prosthesis. The porcelain composition is a component of a kit that includes opaquers, other porcelains and stains useful in finishing to provide an aesthetic prosthesis.

Bonding of soft gingival tissues with anatomical and other dental prostheses

Methods and dental prosthetics for providing soft tissue adhesion to a temporary healing abutment, or other dental prosthetic (e.g., temporary or permanent). Existing prosthetics generally do not provide any significant adhesion of the soft tissue surrounding the prosthetic, to the outer surface of the prosthetic itself. Because of the presence of gaps between such structures, or simple non-adhesion even where the structures may touch (but be free and unattached relative to one another), there is a tendency for pathogenic microbes to enter into such space between the structures, and for the soft gingival tissue to recede, particularly in patients with thin type periodontal tissue. The present disclosure provides materials and/or surface treatment (e.g., texturing) that ensures good bonding between the prosthetic and the soft tissue, reducing risk of infection, and reducing undesirable gingival recession surrounding the prosthetic anchored on a dental implant.

Device for producing dental ceramic

A device for producing dental ceramic, with a CAD/CAM device for preparing a compression molding cavity for producing the dental ceramic, wherein a CAD device thereof, on the basis of scan data, determines the shape of the dental ceramic to be produced, and wherein a CAM device thereof produces a positive model, on the basis of which the mold cavity is produced via a sacrificial mold (muffle). The CAM device also determines the distribution and the transfer between different ceramic types, i.e. types of ceramics that differ at least in respect of one parameter in terms of material, appearance, strength or the like, wherein the CAM device for adjusting the distribution and the transfer determines the position and the dimensions of a feed channel between a muffle rod and the compression molding cavity for producing the dental ceramic according to at least one of these parameters.
