System for the manufacture of a dental prosthesis
A dental prosthesis is provided, manufactured from a monobloc or multibloc prosthesis blank (10), which is composed of a gum-colored material (14) and a tooth-colored material (12), which materials (12, 14) are bonded to each other by bonding, polymerization and/or one-piece manufacture. The boundary surface (16) between the materials is wave-shaped comprising alternating grooves (22) and ribs (24) in the course of the dental arch, and radial in an oral-vestibular direction in the region of the anterior teeth (33) to be created. The boundary surface (16), at least in the region of the molars (26)again as viewed in the oral vestibular directionhas parallel grooves (22) and ribs (24) forming troughs and crests of the waveform, or grooves (22) and ribs (24) such that they extend in deviation from parallel by at most 10 degrees, in particular at most 5 degrees, at least in the region of the molars (26).
BLOCK MACHINABLE BY CAD/CAM FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A DENTAL PROSTHETIC ELEMENT, IN PARTICULAR A FIBRE INLAY CORE
Block for CAD/CAM machining of dental prosthetic elements such as crowns, composite bridges, inlay-cores (post+abutment), posts, implant abutments, comprising an insert in which said prosthetic element is machined, a polymeric layer covering at least one surface of said insert, a mandrel integral with the polymeric layer, characterized in that the mandrel is made of a material identical to that of the polymeric layer and in that the mandrel and the polymeric layer are cross-linked.
Dental devices and systems and methods for making the same
Dental devices and systems and methods for making the same are provided. In at least one embodiment, a method for fabricating an arch-shaped device for coupling to a patient's mouth is provided. The method can include disposing each of a plurality of teeth into respective teeth receptors of an inlay device, positioning the inlay device in a recess of a lower portion of a mold device, and coupling the lower portion to an upper portion of the mold device to sandwich the inlay device therebetween. The method can also include injecting a base compound into an injection hole of the mold device, and processing the base compound to integrate the base compound with the plurality of teeth.
PREPARATION OF A WAX OR PLASTIC BASE FOR PRODUCING A DENTAL PROSTHESIS
The invention relates to a method for producing a wax base or a prosthesis base for producing a dental prosthesis, with which a virtual CAD model of the dental prosthesis is used for the production of the physical dental prosthesis or the physical prosthesis base, wherein, from the CAD model of the dental prosthesis, a virtual model of the prosthesis base is calculated, characterized by the following chronological steps: A) Scanning in of at least one three-dimensional region of a physical model of the oral cavity situation of a patient and preparation of a first data record on the basis of this scan, or intra-oral scan of a three-dimensional region of the oral cavity situation of the patient and production of a physical model of the oral cavity situation of a patient on the basis of the intra-oral scan and preparation of a first data record on the basis of the intra-oral scan; B) application of a wax layer or a plastic layer onto the physical model of the oral cavity situation; D) calculation of a virtual surface as a surface which is to be formed in the wax layer or in the plastic layer, wherein the calculation is made on the basis of the virtual model of the prosthesis base and of the first data record, and wherein positioning aids are provided in the surface which is to be produced, for the positioning of prosthetic teeth; and E) production of the wax base from the wax layer or of the prosthesis base from the plastic layer with a subtractive CAM method, on the basis of the virtual surface calculated in step D).
The invention also relates to a method for producing a dental prosthesis or a wax set-up for a dental prosthesis, and a prosthesis base, a wax base, or a dental prosthesis, produced with such a method.
Set of layer-specific molding matrices
The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for providing a set of layer-specific molding matrices for reconstructing layer-by-layer one or more teeth of a set of teeth in a patient's oral cavity. The set of layer-specific molding matrices comprises two or more layer-specific molding matrices. Each of the layer-specific molding matrices is configured for being arranged on the set of teeth and for casting a different layer of the one or more teeth to be reconstructed with a layer-specific reconstruction material inserted into the respective layer-specific molding matrix.
