Converter CO2—O2 mixed injection smelting method and method of dynamically controlling fire point area temperature
The present disclosure provides a converter CO.sub.2—O.sub.2 mixed injection smelting method and a fire point area temperature dynamic control method. The method realizes online monitoring through an infrared temperature sensor installed inside an oxygen lance, dynamically adjusts the mixing ratio of CO.sub.2 and O.sub.2 and the height of the oxygen lance position according to the fire point area temperature changes and process requirements in different smelting stages, so that the secondary smelting system interlockingly and dynamically controls the fire point area temperature and the molten pool heating rate.
Continuously Charged Electric Arc Furnace System
Methods and systems for determining a feed rate (unit mass/unit time) of metallic scrap material in real time being charged to an electric arc furnace (EAF) is provided, in which the methods and systems determine the speed of the metallic scrap material in real time and the volume of the metallic scrap material in real time. The methods and systems also classify the metallic scrap material via a machine learning model based on digital images of the metallic scrap material and assign a density to the metallic scrap material. The feed rate is determined based on the speed and volume of the metallic scrap material and the assigned density.
Converter torque support
A method for operating a converter and a support device for the converter. The converter is rotatably or tiltably mounted and rotatably coupled in a transmission via support pins in the support device. The transmission is supported permanently on a base via a torque support. In order to reduce costs for a corresponding support device and, simultaneously, so as to be able to better control the torque exerted by the converter on the transmission, the time-variable actual torque M.sub.Ist exerted by the converter on the transmission is controlled to a predefined target torque M.sub.soil.
System for continuously detecting temperature and composition of molten steel during converter steelmaking
The present disclosure provides a system for continuously detecting the temperature and composition of molten steel during converter steelmaking, and relates to the technical field of steelmaking detection devices. A seating brick (3) and a probe conveying pipe (5) are provided on a side wall of a converter (1), and multiple probes are provided in different detection through holes (4) within the probe conveying pipe (5) respectively. The temperature of molten steel, the oxygen activity of the molten steel and the low carbon and phosphorus content in the molten steel within the converter can be detected in real time. This facilitates an operator adopting corresponding operational means to reach the smelting end point in an optimized manner so as to improve various economic and technical indexes in steelmaking.
MELTING/REFINING FURNACE FOR COLD IRON SOURCES, AND MELTING/REFINING FURNACE OPERATION METHOD
The object of the present invention is to provide a melting/refining furnace for cold iron sources and an operation method for a melting/refining furnace that can increase the heating efficiency of the raw material without causing oxidation of the raw material, reduce the amount of power consumption required for melting the raw material, shorten the melting and refining time, improve the productivity, and reduce costs, and the present invention provides a melting/refining furnace including: one or more through-holes (21) provided to penetrate a furnace wall (2A) of an electric furnace (2); and an oxygen burner-lance (3) provided in the through-hole (21), wherein the oxygen burner-lance (3) includes at least one combustion-supporting gas supply pipe (31) and at least one fuel gas supply pipe (32) which have an opening communicating with an inside of the electric furnace (2), and wherein a high-temperature gas generator (10) is provided in any one or more of the combustion-supporting gas supply pipes (31).
MOLTEN IRON DEPHOSPHORIZATION METHOD
A dephosphorization method using a top and bottom blown converter. This method uses a converter charged with molten iron and slag, to blow an oxygen-containing gas from a top-blowing lance, supply the gas from an inlet of a blowing hole, and supply a control gas from an opening toward an axial center. This method has: a slag top-surface position measurement step, with the top surface of the molten iron measured in advance, measuring an arbitrary position in a top surface of the slag; a slag top-surface difference calculation of slag thickness difference between the measured top-surface positions of the molten iron and the slag; and a jetting condition adjustment step of, using the obtained slag thickness, adjusting a jetting condition of the gas jetted from the top-blowing lance into an appropriate range. The top-blown jetting condition is adjusted by comparing the slag thickness and the depth of a surface depression.
Tuyere for a basic oxygen furnace
A tuyere comprising an inner tube including a lower section having a first diameter, an upper section having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter, and a converging transition section having a converging angle Θ from 30° to 60° connecting the lower section to the upper section, the inner tube terminating in an inner nozzle at a downstream end of the upper section; and an outer tube surrounding the inner tube so as to create an annulus there between, the outer tube including a lower section having a third diameter larger than the first diameter, an upper section having a fourth diameter smaller than the third diameter but larger than the second diameter, and a converging transition section having connecting the lower section to the upper section, the outer tube terminating in an outer nozzle at a downstream end of the upper section.
Device and method for sensing a conveying rate of a liquid material
The invention relates to a device and to a method for sensing a conveying rate at which liquid material is filled into a metallurgical target vessel (6) from a pivotable starting vessel (4). For this purpose, means for determining an amount of liquid material with which the initial vessel (4) has been filled and means for sensing an amount of the liquid material which is discharged toward the target vessel (6) or filled into the target vessel (6) by pivoting of the starting vessel (4) are provided.
In Situ Apparatus for Furnace Off-Gas Constituent and Flow Velocity Measurement
An optically based combustion off-gas stream velocity sensor assembly is provided for detecting in real-time off-gas flow velocity and/or volume as it moves through a flue duct. The sensor assembly includes two paired coherent light emitters and optic sensors, positioned in a spaced orientation in the flow path direction. The light emitter/optic sensor pairs operate to emit and detect across the off-gas stream coherent light beam energy having a wavelength component corresponding to an absorption profile of an off-gas species component. The detection of non-absorbed portions of the emitted beam is used to identify and detect the movement of a flow species signature at different locations along the flue duct.
