DENTAL FLOSS
A dental floss 2 containing a multifilament is a flat braided cord. The number of threads constituting the flat braided cord is preferably 6 to 33, and the dental floss preferably has a width of 0.5 to 4.0 mm, and a passage gap of 0.01 to 0.1 mm. The flat cord may contain a monofilament or a multifilament-connected thread together with the multifilament. Constituent threads of the braided cord are obliquely arranged and fixed, and, when the cord is moved in a length direction, the obliquely fixed constituent threads efficiently remove food residue, dental plaque, and the like between teeth. Furthermore, the flat braided cord is flat and thin, and easy to insert between teeth. Accordingly, a dental floss that can efficiently remove food residue, dental plaque, and the like between teeth is provided.
IMPLANTS AND CONSTRUCTS INCLUDING HOLLOW FIBERS
Hollow fiber drug delivery devices are described. Device can contain structural or solid fibers. Fabric can be formed by fibers being interwoven or joined to each other. All or some of the fibers can be resorbable. Fibers can be subdivided, by deformations or closure points, into numerous compartments that separately deliver drug. Deformations can be located at points of fiber intersection or joining. Different drug or drug formulation can be provided in different places. Fibers can be given appropriate surface treatments or coatings to achieve desired properties such as wetting of pores and surfaces. Different release characteristics in different directions can be achieved. The hollow fibers can contain solid particles of drug, and can contain gel. Possible applications include hernia meshes, pouches, sutures, catheters, wound dressings, stents, nerve regrowth guides, refillable/drainable devices, and devices that deliver drug to lymphatic flow.
DEVICE FOR CLEANING TEETH
Device for cleaning teeth which comprises a dental floss fork (2) provided with a grippable handle (3) and with two rods (4) with free ends (4) spaced from each other and a dental floss (5), which is mounted with a bridge section (5) between the free ends (4) of the two rods (4) of the dental floss fork (2). The dental floss (5) has annular extension and the dental floss fork (2) is provided with guide means (6), in which the dental floss (5) is housed, for supporting it along its annular extension. The dental floss (5) is slidably mounted within the guide means (6).
Bio-Resorbable Debride or Implant Cleaning Tool and Method of Manufacturing the Same
The present invention is directed to a debridement and/or implant cleaning tool 1 in which the means for cleaning 4 is made of a biodegradable material. Thus, if parts of the means for cleaning 4 come loose during use, these will be degraded by natural processes in the body and will not remain in the body and cause negative body reactions.
Expandable Floss with Specialized Tray
The proposed invention is floss comprised of a multifilament thread and coating that enables its expansion and increased retention to plaques. The expansion of the floss is enabled by a having a hydrophobic core with a hydrophilic coating that expands through coming in contact with saliva. Furthermore, the coating could include therapeutic agents with medicinal benefits to users, such as anti-inflammation. The filaments within the thread are compressed into thread with hexagram cross-section. Additionally, the floss is delivered through a specialized case which isolates the floss from outside air and moisture. Furthermore, the tray features U-shape terminal for oral use, in addition to a horizontal cylinder holding the floss.
Dental flossing device
A dental flossing device is made of an elastic material. Its central structure is a resiliently stretchable elastic, bridge strip with a cross section having different shapes. When stretched, the strip has a changeable diameter to help remove debris between teeth. The strip includes corrugations or spirals along its length and may include different drugs or flavors to give the user a medicine or a taste while cleaning the teeth. At each end of the strip, there is an elastic opposing handle. Handles may be bridged by two or more stretchable strips. The two handles may have different dimensions and thicknesses, as well as different profiles; they may be resiliently stretchable so as to serve themselves as additional flossing members. The device may comprise more than two handles and more than one flossing strip and thus may form various configurations such as ring-like, chain-like, star-like, etc. A method for making the dental flossing device out of the elastic material includes molding the elastic, bridge strip and integrally molding the elastic opposing handles at opposite ends of the strip.
DENTAL FLOSS PRODUCT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
The invention relates to a dental floss product and its manufacturing of plate web (2) and dental floss (3). The dental floss product consists of a dental floss (3) comprising an operating part for cleaning tooth gaps and two end portions (1a, 1b) with a gripping surface connected by a joining zone (4c). The ends of the dental floss (3) are permanently fixed around the end portions (1a, 1b) in the same direction of rotation, and the portion of the dental floss (3), which extends around the joining zone (4c) of the end portions (1a, 1b), the opposite direction of rotation. The dental floss (3) is attached to the plate web (2) by rotating dental floss (3) around the end of the plate web (2) back and forth and between rotations moving it step by step forward and cutting it.
TOOL FOR CLEANING A CORRESPONDING PART OF THE ORAL CAVITY OF A PERSON, IN PARTICULAR FOR CLEANING TEETH
A tool for cleaning a corresponding part of the oral cavity of a person, in particular for cleaning of the teeth, preferably of a person; including supporting means, or handle, for means, or member, for engaging and cleaning the corresponding part of the oral cavity of the person, the engaging and cleaning means extending from the supporting means, or handle, and in particular being in the form of a corresponding brush, preferably of a dental brush, or in the form of corresponding dental floss. The supporting means, or handle, have a free end portion which is shaped to form gripping means for the fingers of the user, in particular to perform the cleaning of the corresponding part of the oral cavity.
