An apparatus for treating a tooth includes a proximal chamber and a distal chamber disposed distal the proximal chamber and in fluid communication with the proximal chamber by way of a transition opening. The distal chamber includes an access opening disposed apart from and distal to the transition opening, the access opening to provide fluid communication between a treatment region of the tooth and the distal chamber. The apparatus includes a liquid supply port disposed to direct a liquid stream into the proximal chamber and over at least a portion of the transition opening. The apparatus includes an impingement member arranged within a path of the liquid stream, the impingement member having one or more surfaces positioned to redirect at least a portion of the liquid stream across at least a portion of the transition opening.

Various systems, method, and compositions for treating a tooth are disclosed herein. For example, an apparatus for treating a tooth is disclosed. The apparatus can include a chamber having an access port which places the chamber in fluid communication with a treatment region of the tooth when the chamber is coupled to tooth. A fluid motion generator can be coupled to the chamber. The fluid motion generator can be configured to direct fluid across the access port to generate fluid motion in the chamber. In various embodiments, fluid motion (e.g., vortices, swirl, etc.) can be induced at or near treatment regions of the tooth, such as a root canal or carious region.

Methods, apparatus, and systems for reducing transmission of aerosol droplets in a medical or dental procedure are described. One protective shield system includes a base plate, a shield having at least one transparent section, and a pipe or conduit comprising a plurality of holes thereon. The shield is configured to be removably attached to the base plate to allow attachment of the shield to the base plate prior to the medical or dental procedure and removal of the shield from the base plate after the medical or dental procedure. The pipe or conduit is positioned adjacent to an inner surface of the shield and on at least part of a perimeter of the shield. The pipe includes an end that is configured to connect to a suction system to enable removal of the aerosolized particles from below the shield during the medical or dental procedure.

The tray includes a part having the shape of all or part of a dental arch, and the part can change by virtue of its ability to deform and/or a structure formed by multiple elements that are hinged to one another and/or reversibly assembled and secured to one another, such as to provide the optimal shape.

A device for providing oral care includes at least one lumen fluidly coupled to a brush head. The lumen is adapted to suction fluid via an aperture disposed within the brush head. The brush head may be provided an oral cleaning fluid to facilitate cleaning of oral anatomy. The oral cleaning fluid may be provided within a cup provided within a containment assembly coupled to the oral care tool. Alternatively, or in addition, the cleaning fluid may be provided via fluid reservoir fluidly coupled to the oral care tool. The brush head comprises a bristles section and a foam section.
