7-way dental syringe
A 7-way dental syringe is a device in a dental delivery system that delivers an air stream, water stream, air spray and water spray; four efficient ways to clean a patient's mouth. Additionally, the 7-way dental syringe is a controllable pressurized dental water jet system. It can dislodge plaque biofilms from teeth and interdental regions, access a periodontal pocket to wash out plaque therein, and cleanse a tooth extraction site or irrigate exposed jawbone; various clinical ways to perform advanced oral hygiene.
ORAL CARE APPLIANCE USING PULSED FLUID FLOW
An oral care appliance comprises: a fluid delivery system for producing discrete fluid bursts by means of a pump (130), a regulator (132) regulating liquid in a pressurized liquid tank (134) delivered via a valve (140) through a fluid delivery path (123) in an outlet member (124), directed to a nozzle assembly (126) from which the resulting fluid bursts are directed to the teeth.
Mobile dental intelligence center
The Mobile Dental Intelligence Center (MobiDIC) will roll up alongside the patient's Bedside or Chairside where Oral Hygiene can be performed by the patient's Caregiver, with no need to have a sink or basin in the area. Using the MobiDIC the Caregiver will be able to brush the patient's teeth, rinse and suction the patient's mouth at the Bedside or Chairside; also the Caregiver will monitor the patients Vital Signs. The unit's unique cylindrical design makes it easy for the Caregiver to wipe clean and disinfect the unit. The air, water, suction and power supply hoses are internal to the unit reducing cord entanglement and trip hazards. The MobiDIC allows the Caregiver the ability to easily connect various medical monitoring devices including Intra and Extra Oral Cameras capturing images of the patient's mouth inside and the patient's general appearance. All MobiDIC innovations will facilitate assessing the patient's current general health.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DENTAL TREATMENTS
A device, method, and system are provided for aiding the whitening of teeth. The device includes a mouthpiece suitable for implementing a dental treatment, wherein the mouthpiece includes one or more stock elastomeric dental cover layers suitable for forming and maintaining a treatment cavity having a vacuum fluid seal, wherein the dental cover layers includes a layer over the upper teeth and surrounding gums and/or a layer over the lower teeth and surrounding gums, wherein each of the layers includes one or more hardened sections for enabling selected/differential collapsibility when exposed to vacuum pressure; and one or more treatment supply layers wherein the treatment supply layer incorporates a heating unit for heating treatment materials and one or more flow channels in fluid communication with the treatment cavity so that the treatment supply layer can deliver and/or remove one or more treatment fluids from the one or more fluid sealed treatment cavities.
STERILE DENTAL SETUP PACK
A system and method for forming a sterile dental pack is disclosed. The method includes preparing a first wrap and a second wrap; arranging a plurality of dental disposable supplies on the first wrap; and wrapping the plurality of dental disposable supplies within the first wrap and the second wrap to form an airtight container. Also disclosed is a sterile dental pack dispensing system. The sterile dental pack dispensing system may include a storage container with an opening, the storage container being configured to store a wrapped sterile dental pack; an output configured to receive the wrapped sterile dental pack from the storage container; and a fiber optic indicator configured to cause the wrapped sterile dental pack to move from the storage container to the output through the opening.

An oral care appliance comprises: a fluid pump assembly (46); a source of liquid (50); and a source of gas (12), wherein the pump is in operative communication with the sources of liquid and gas to produce a series of gas-injected fluid pulses, directed to a nozzle assembly (80) from which the resulting pulses are directed to the teeth. The individual pulses have a pulse width in the range of 0.001-0.5 seconds, a pulse height from 0.1-10 Newtons, and a rise/fall time range of 0.5-250 ms, a repetition rate in the range of 2 Hz to 20 Hz. The gas/liquid mixture range from 40-95% volume to volume, gas to liquid.
Oral care gel dispenser systems
The invention provides an oral care system comprising a gel in a pen dispenser, the dispenser comprising a chamber which permits dispensing of a measured amount of the gel, wherein the gel exhibits a Herschel-Bulkley yield stress of 10 to 230 dynes/cm2, a Herschel-Bulkley viscosity of 3 to 500 poise, and a Herschel-Bulkley rate index of 0.4 to 0.6, the specific viscosity permitting efficient application of the gel, as well as methods of using the same.
METHODS FOR PROVIDING BENEFICIAL EFFECTS TO THE ORAL CAVITY
A method for providing a beneficial effect to an oral cavity of a mammal, the method including contacting a plurality of surfaces of the oral cavity with a liquid effective for providing the beneficial effect to the oral cavity and providing reciprocation of the liquid over the plurality of surfaces of the oral cavity under conditions effective to provide the beneficial effect.
ADAPTERS WITH LIGHT SOURCES FOR DENTAL AIR/WATER SYRINGES
A method of converting an air/water dental syringe of the type having a syringe body and an autoclavable dental tip and lacking illumination into a converted air/water dental syringe adapted to be used with a disposable dental tip different from the autoclavable dental tip and with illumination capabilities includes using a conversion kit having a retainer body and a self-contained module. The syringe body is attached to a proximal end of the retainer body through a proximal opening for providing air and water. A proximal end is inserted into a distal opening of the retainer body. The self-contained module includes a light-emitting diode (LED), a battery powering the LED, and a switch to turn the LED ON and OFF. Light emitted from the LED provides illumination through a light opening on an outer surface of the retainer body generally towards a distal end of the disposable dental tip.
