Additives to control hydrogen sulfide release of sulfur containing and/or phosphorus containing corrosion inhibitors
An additive, such as an aminal, a dibutylamine, or combinations thereof, may treat a system having a corrosion inhibitor in the form of at least one sulfur species and/or at least one phosphorous-containing compound. The additive may be introduced or added to the corrosion inhibitor within an aqueous system, an aerobic system, and/or an anaerobic system to inactivate the sulfur species and/or the phosphorous-containing compounds.
WATER SOLUBLE METALWORKING CONCENTRATE
A water soluble metalworking concentrate is a combination of one or more amines; one or more ferrous corrosion inhibitors; one or more phosphate esters; one or more ether carboxylates; a ricinoleic acid condensate; one or more lubricating agents; deionized water and, optionally, one or more non-ferrous corrosion inhibitors. In use, the concentrate is diluted to a concentration of approximately 5% to approximately 10%. In use, the metalworking fluid exhibits excellent lubricity, low foam generation, emulsion stability, protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, biostatic stability and environmental compatibility.
Anticorrosive agent and terminal fitted electric wire
An anticorrosive agent maintains its anticorrosion property when the agent is applied to the connection part of the terminal-fitted electric wire containing a covering member containing a plasticizer, and is exposed to high temperature. A terminal-fitted electric wire improves in anticorrosion property by using the agent. The anticorrosive agent contains a base oil (A) having a viscosity of 30 mPa.Math.s or higher at 100 C., and a metal adsorbent (B) containing a phosphorus compound. The mass composition ratio (A):(B) of the base oil (A) and the metal adsorbent (B) is within a range of 50:50 to 98:2. In the terminal-fitted electric wire, an electric connection part between a terminal and an electric conductor is covered with a film of the anticorrosive agent.
Liquid inhibitor composition and a method for its preparation and application as a heavy brine corrosion control
A composition useful as corrosion inhibitor formulation for application in heavy brine systems, comprising at least one imidazoline; at least one sulfur synergist; at least one phosphate ester. In a preferred embodiment, the composition comprises additionally formulation bonding surfactant; and/or at least one solvent system.
Composition having oil film retention function, anticorrosive agent using same, and insulated terminated electric wire
A composition having an oil film retention function which an oil film can be stably retained on surfaces of various metals, an anticorrosive agent using same, and insulated terminated electric wire. A composition having oil film retention function for being added to base oil to be applied onto a metal surface and retaining base oil on metal surface, and composition contains a component that is an adduct of an azole compound and acidic alkyl phosphate ester including one or more compounds represented by General Formulae (1) (Chemical Formula 1) P(O)(OR.sub.1)(OH).sub.2 . . . (1) or General Formula (2) (Chemical Formula 2) P(O)(OR.sub.1).sub.2(OH) . . . (2) where R.sub.1 represents an organic group having four or more carbon atoms, and component that is an adduct of a metal and/or organic amine compound and acidic alkyl phosphate ester including one or more compounds represented by General Formulae (1) or (2).
Liquid inhibitor composition and a method for its preparation and application as a heavy brine corrosion control
A composition useful as corrosion inhibitor formulation for application in heavy brine systems, comprising at least one amidoamine; at least one sulfur synergist; at least one phosphate ester. In a preferred embodiment, the composition comprises additionally formulation bonding surfactant; and/or at least one solvent system.
ANTICORROSIVE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS WITH SUPRAMOLECULAR STRUCTURES
Compositions with supramolecular structures for use in anticorrosive methods include a corrosion inhibitor; a supramolecular host chemical or a supramolecular guest chemical configured to engage in host-guest chemistry with the corrosion inhibitor; and a solvent. Methods of inhibiting corrosion on a surface or reducing the amount of anticorrosive composition within a system include adding an anti-corrosively effective amount of the composition to the system.
WEAR INHIBITOR FOR OIL & GAS PRODUCTION
A method for inhibiting erosion (wear)-corrosion of downhole components in a secondary lift system, the method comprising: introducing a corrosion inhibitor and a lubricating agent into a wellbore; allowing the corrosion inhibitor and the lubricating agent to mix with a produced fluid to form a mixture; and recovering the mixture from the wellbore through a production tubing, wherein the corrosion inhibitor and/or the lubricating agent contact one or more of the downhole components of the secondary lift system. A system for inhibiting wear in secondary recovery comprising: a casing disposed in a producing wellbore; a production tubing extending into the casing; a downhole equipment disposed in the production tubing, wherein the downhole equipment comprises at least one equipment selected from the group consisting of a sucker rod, a plunger, and an electrical submersible pump; a treatment fluid for introduction into an annulus disposed between the casing and the production tubing.
