ORAL APPLIANCE HAVING MEDICAMENT AND METHODS OF MAKING

An oral appliance and a method of making the oral appliance for delivering a medicament to an oral cavity are provided. The method comprises providing an oral appliance having an exterior and an interior, the interior of the oral appliance configured to contour at least a portion of teeth and/or soft tissue areas of the oral cavity. A robotic dispensing device is provided, the robotic device having an outlet configured to dispense medicament at discrete regions of the interior, the exterior or both the interior and the exterior of the oral appliance; and dispensing the medicament from the outlet of the robotic dispensing device to discrete regions of the interior, the exterior or both the interior and the exterior of the oral appliance for delivering the medicament to the oral cavity.

ORAL HYGIENE DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
20220160489 · 2022-05-26 ·

Oral hygiene devices, systems, and methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the device comprises a disposable shaft configured to be releasably coupled to a reusable base. The shaft may include a head configured to engage an oral tissue and oral contents of a patient's oral cavity to dislodge one or more substances disposed on the oral tissue. In some embodiments, the shaft defines one or more lumens configured to transport a substance between the base of the device and the patient's oral cavity. The device can be configured to deliver a therapeutic agent to the patient's oral cavity to prevent and/or inhibit colonization of the oral cavity by pathogens. In particular embodiments, the device is configured to suction a substance out of the oral cavity and into the device to reduce a risk of the substance being aspirated into the patient's airways.

IMMUNOMODULATORY, ORAL MICROBIOME ALTERING AND TISSUE REGENERATIVE ORAL CARE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE IN THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF PERIODONTAL AND PERI-IMPLANT DISEASES
20230270761 · 2023-08-31 ·

Therapeutic hydrogels in nonsurgical techniques to promote healing and regeneration of tissues whose structure and functions have been diminished due to chronic inflammatory disorders. More particularly, providing therapeutic and regenerative hydrogel compositions and their nonsurgical delivery to periodontal treatment sites to treat periodontal and peri-implant diseases. One delivery technique involves the injection of a sterile therapeutic biomimetic hyaluronic acid hydrogel tethered to at least one host modulating agent, such as tetrahydrocurcuminoids, THC, and at least one additional tissue regenerative agent, into the gingival connective tissue proper. The host modulating agent potentiates the periodontal tissue regeneration at the periodontal treatment site, while the biomimetic hyaluronic acid hydrogel serves in a dual capacity as a drug, a tissue regenerative agent carrier and as a biodegradable matrix around which the new connective tissue regenerates. Oral care gel and paste compositions may be used in a synergistic home-based oral care regimen.

Aqueous oral care fluoride treatment compositions, and methods

An aqueous oral care fluoride treatment composition, a method of providing fluoride to a patient's tooth surface, and a method of reducing the incidence of dental caries, wherein the composition includes: 0.1 wt-% to 3.0 wt-% of a crosslinked poly acid having carboxylic acid side groups; a pharmaceutically acceptable buffer; 1.0 wt-% to 2.5 wt-% of sodium fluoride; 0.025 wt-% to 1.75 wt-% of a multivalent cation salt; and at least 60 wt-% water; wherein the weight percentages are based on the total weight of the aqueous composition.

LASER APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE FOR DENTAL SURGERY

A laser and a minimally invasive dental surgical procedure using the laser to stimulate periodontal tissue formation.

LIDAR based 3-D imaging with far-field illumination overlap

Methods and systems for performing 3-D LIDAR measurements of objects simultaneously illuminated by two or more beams of light in the far field are described herein. A 3-D LIDAR based measurement device simultaneously emits at least two beams of light into a three dimensional environment from different locations. A portion of the three dimensional environment is simultaneously illuminated by the two or more light beams at a distance of at least five meters from the LIDAR device. However, the two or more light beams do not overlap at a distance less than five meters from the LIDAR device. The beams of light are slightly divergent, having highest intensity at the device and steadily lower intensity further away. By overlapping illumination beams in the far field, but not near the LIDAR device, overall intensity is maintained at moderate levels throughout the field of view of the LIDAR device.

Teeth aligner system

A method and apparatus providing orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) using a removable aligner, by providing a shaped removable aligner formed of a thermoplastic and moulded to an OTM fitting shape relative to the teeth of a patient; applying a layer of a gel to an inner surface of a teeth-receiving cavity of the thermoplastic aligner; locating the shaped removable aligner with the applied gel layer in a required OTM fitting position on the teeth of the patient to provide an effective OTM force on the teeth; wherein the gel layer substantially separates and spaces the aligner from the teeth while providing a force transfer mechanism from the aligner to the teeth.

Aqueous oral care solutions, methods, kits, and tooth surfaces having a coating derived from the oral care solution

An aqueous oral care solution, a kit that includes such solution, a method of making such solution, a method of using such solution (e.g., a method of providing fluoride to a patient's tooth surface), and a tooth surface having a coating derived from the aqueous oral care solution, wherein the oral care solution includes: silver cations; thiocyanatc anions provided by a thiocyanatc source comprising Ca(SCN)2; fluoride anions; and water; wherein the molar ratio of silver to thiocyanatc ions is up to 0.40:1, and water is up to 57 wt-%, based on the total weight of the solution.
