COMPUTERIZED ORAL PRESCRIPTION ADMINISTRATION WITH REFILLABLE MEDICATION DISPENSING DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A substance dispensing apparatus comprises a housing for handheld use and a mouthpiece coupled to the housing. The housing comprises a biometric sensor and a cavity sized to receive a reservoir. The mouthpiece comprises a recess and a capacitive sensor array. The apparatus further comprises a pump coupled to the mouthpiece and couplable to the reservoir and comprises a processor in communication with the biometric sensor, capacitive sensor array, and pump. The processor is configured to cause the pump to automatically dispense a substance from the reservoir to a mouth of an intended user via the mouthpiece in response to determining that: a unique biometric attribute of the intended user is detected by the biometric sensor based on biometric data from the biometric sensor; and a unique dentition of the intended user is positioned within the recess of the mouthpiece based on dentition data from the capacitive sensor array.
Oral Care Device
An oral care device for placement in the oral cavity. The oral care device may include a support component, a piezoelectric component, and/or sensor and/or a therapeutic element. The support component is configured for placement between one or more maxillary teeth and one or more mandibular teeth. The piezoelectric element is configured to generate electrical energy from relative movement of the maxillary teeth and the mandibular teeth. The sensor is configured to sense a condition in the oral cavity. The therapeutic element is configured to release a therapeutic into the oral cavity. The device may include any one or any combination of the piezoelectric component, the therapeutic element, and the sensor.
Light curing dental system
A light curing dental system comprising a light emitting tray that precisely distributes an optimal amount of curing light energy to internal, external and extra oral portions of the dental arch to cure a dental material. The light curing dental system generally includes a light source, a light emitting dental tray, an activation module and a photocurable dental material.
Modular aligner devices and methods for orthodontic treatment
An aligner assembly for facilitating an alignment of one or more teeth is disclosed. The aligner assembly includes a shell adapted to receive the one or more teeth. The aligner assembly further includes one or more engagement structures configured to be coupled to one of the one or more teeth or the shell. Each engagement structure includes a slot and adapted to engage with the shell for facilitating a reposition of the one or more teeth.
Unit and multi dose applicators and methods of use
A dental application device having a handle having a first end, a second end, and a containment chamber disposed within the handle. The device has a dental solution disposed within the containment chamber, a receiver tip coupled to the handle at the first end, a material passage within the receiver tip that forms a conduit between the first end and a receiving end, a frangible seal that separates the containment chamber from the material passage, and a piercing cannula in fluid communication with an applicator tip and having a distal piercing end extending toward the frangible seal. The piercing cannula is moveable between a first position and a second position. When in the first position, the piercing end is spaced apart from the frangible seal, and in the second position, the piercing end punctures the frangible seal and fluidly connects the dental solution with the applicator tip.
Occlusal stop bite resistor devices utilized in systems and methods for dental treatments
A device, method, and system are provided for treating the oral cavity. The device includes a mouthpiece suitable for implementing a dental treatment, wherein the mouthpiece includes one or more stock elastomeric dental cover layers suitable for forming and maintaining a treatment cavity having a vacuum fluid seal, wherein the dental cover layers includes a layer over all the surfaces of the upper teeth and surrounding gums and/or a layer over all the surfaces of the lower teeth and surrounding gums, wherein each of the layers includes one or more hardened rigid or semi-rigid sections for enabling selected and/or differential collapsibility of the cover layers when exposed to vacuum pressure; and one or more treatment supply layers, and one or more flow channels in fluid communication with the treatment cavity so that the treatment supply layer can deliver and/or remove one or more treatment fluids from the one or more fluid sealed treatment cavities.
ORAL TRAY AND METHOD
An oral tray for conditioning teeth within a mouth of a user includes a first tray layer and a second tray layer. The first tray layer is configured to engage teeth within the mouth of the user. The first tray layer can have a first Young's modulus of greater than 0.60 and less than 1.50. The first tray layer can have a first tray thickness of greater than 0.40 mm and less than 0.90 mm. The second tray layer is coupled to the first tray layer. The second tray layer has a plurality of tooth portions each including a recess. Each recess is configured to receive a tooth conditioner. The second tray layer can have a second Young's modulus of greater than 0.02 and less than 0.30. The second tray layer can have a second tray thickness of greater than 0.80 mm and less than 1.30 mm.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTED DENTAL APPLIANCES USING SUPPORT STRUCTURES
Systems and methods are disclosed for fabricating a dental or oral appliance utilizing support structures. A three dimensional representation of the dentition of a patient may be captured and reconfigured for correcting one or more malocclusions. The oral appliance may be printed upon an inner structure which supports the oral appliance during fabrication. The inner structure may be subsequently removed once the oral appliance is completed.
DENTAL APPLIANCE ETCH TEMPLATE
The present disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems that utilize dental appliance etch templates prior to or during dental treatment. One dental appliance etch template includes a removable shell having one or more cavities formed therein, where the one or more cavities are shaped to receive teeth of a patient, and the shell includes a well, the well including a wafer, where the wafer includes etch material to etch a tooth of the patient.
METHODS AND ARTICLES FOR ALLERGIC DESENSITIZATION VIA THE ORAL MUCOSA
Compositions and methods of use for desensitizing a subject to an allergen via regions of the oral mucosa are provided.
