A system for modifying pH in an aqueous environment comprises an aqueous salt solution feed stream having a first pH and an electrochemical device positioned proximate an aqueous restoration area. The electrochemical device is configured to receive the feed stream and convert the feed stream to an acid stream and a base stream having respective predetermined pH values. A first effluent stream comprises the base stream, wherein the first effluent stream has a second pH that is higher than the first pH. The first effluent stream is delivered proximate the aqueous restoration area. A second effluent stream comprises the acid stream, wherein the second effluent stream has a third pH that is lower than the second pH.

Disclosed is a water treatment device such as a water purifier. In particular, a water treatment device capable of producing sterilizing water is disclosed. The device includes a sterilizing water producing module for electrolyzing raw water to produce sterilizing water, wherein the sterilizing water producing module includes a plurality of first electrodes and a plurality of second electrodes arranged alternately with each other and spaced from each other, wherein the first and second electrodes have opposite polarities to each other, wherein a polarity of each of the first electrode and the second electrode is switchable to between a positive potential and a negative potential, such that the sterilizing water producing module operates such that a positive potential operation and a negative potential operation are alternately repeated, wherein a magnitude of voltage or current applied to the sterilizing water producing module under the negative potential operation is smaller than a magnitude of voltage or current applied to the module under the positive potential operation.

A switching system for an EDR water purifier has a first raw-water inlet end, a second raw-water inlet end, two four-way solenoid valves, an EDR membrane stack, a freshwater outlet end, and a wastewater outlet end. Each four-way solenoid valve has a first inlet end, a second inlet end, a first outlet end, and a second outlet end. The first inlet end of each four-way solenoid valve can communicate with one of the first outlet end and the second outlet end of the same four-way solenoid valve, and the second inlet end of the same four-way solenoid valve can communicate with the other one of the first outlet end and the second outlet end, to execute water-route switching. By switching two water routes passing through the EDR membrane stack, forming of limescale is alleviated, lifespan of the EDR membrane stack is extended, and water-purifying efficiency is improved.

WATER-SOFTENING SYSTEM

A water-softening system includes a filter device including filter units that are provided in at least some of a plurality of supply channels arranged in parallel to supply raw water to a consumption site and that remove at least part of ionic matter contained in supplied raw water by electro-deionization and discharge soft water containing less ionic matter than the raw water, a plurality of supply valves provided in the plurality of supply channels to open or close the supply channels, and a processor connected to the filter device and the plurality of supply valves. The processor determines whether water is supplied to the consumption site and controls at least one of the plurality of supply valves to remain open to maintain a state in which water is allowed to be supplied to the consumption site, when it is determined that no water is supplied to the consumption site.

An electrochemical oxidation reactor includes rotatable electrodes inside a reactor vessel. The electrodes are mounted to support plates, which in turn are mounted on shafts. The plates are attached to each other in a spaced relationship so that a gap is formed therebetween. The plates are each electrically insulated from each other. The electrodes are mounted to the inside surfaces of these plates, inside the gap. The gap is sized to receive liquid to be treated so that liquid located within the gap will react with the electrodes. An electrical charge is applied to each shaft so that a dielectric is formed across the gap within the fluid located in the gap. According to a first embodiment, an electrochemical reactor includes containing two spaced electrode support plates. According to another embodiment, an electrochemical reactor includes several spaced electrode support plates.

CASCADING, RECIRCULATING WATER DEIONIZATION SYSTEMS

Water deionization systems based on electrochemical water desalination or softening using a capacitive or intercalative deionization devices including a stack of electrochemical cells. Each cell includes first and second electrodes and an ion exchange membrane. Each cell includes inlet and outlet channels with control valves that control the separation of the source water into brine (e.g., concentration) and clean water (e.g., purification) streams. The deionization device or module may include multiple electrochemical cells connected electrically in series, parallel or a combination of both. The cells may also be in serial, parallel, or combined fluid communication. The output water of one or more streams from each cell or collection of cells may be recirculated and combined with one or more input water streams to improve the electrochemical energy efficiency of the cells. The electrochemical cells at different rows may have varying electrode thickness, area and loading of the active material.

The present disclosure relates to a desalination system of photovoltaic direct-driven membrane capacitive deionization. The system includes a photovoltaic direct-driven group and a municipal power grid-connected group. The photovoltaic direct-driven group includes a photovoltaic power collection unit, a power storage unit, a direct-driven power monitoring unit, a voltage adjustment unit, and a membrane capacitive deionization water purification unit. The municipal power grid-connected group includes a grid-connected control unit, a grid busbar unit, and an intelligent detection unit.

Methods and processes for producing electrolyzed alkaline and oxidizing water

The present invention relates to systems and methods for cleaning materials, such as flooring and upholstery. In some cases, the systems and methods use an electrolytic cell to electrolyze a solution comprising sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium acetate, sodium percarbonate, potassium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, and/or any other suitable chemical to generate electrolyzed alkaline water and/or electrolyzed oxidizing water. In some cases, the cell comprises a recirculation loop that recirculates anolyte through an anode compartment of the cell. In some cases, the cell further comprises a senor and a processor, where the processor is configured to automatically change an operation of the cell, based on a reading from the sensor. In some cases, a fluid flows past a magnet before entering the cell. In some additional cases, fluid from the cell is conditioned by being split into multiple conduits that run in proximity to each other. Additional implementations are described.
