The ceramic composite material includes: an alumina matrix, a fluorescent powder uniformly distributed in the alumina matrix, and scattering centers uniformly distributed in the alumina matrix, wherein the alumina matrix is an alumina ceramics, the scattering centers are alumina particles, the alumina particles each have a particle diameter of 1 μm to 10 μm, and the fluorescent powder has a particle diameter of 13 μm to 20 μm.

The present disclosure relates to a mold for glass forming, wherein the mold comprises a ceramic material, and wherein the ceramic material comprises aluminum nitride and hexagonal boron nitride, and wherein the ceramic material comprises from 50 to 80% by weight of aluminum nitride and from 20 to 50% by weight of hexagonal boron nitride, based on the total weight of the ceramic material. A particulate filter and method of manufacture. The particulate filter comprises a ceramic honeycomb body comprising a plurality of intersecting walls that define a plurality of channels extending longitudinally though the ceramic honeycomb body. The intersecting walls comprise a porous ceramic material having a microstructure that comprises an interconnected network of porous spheroidal ceramic beads. The microstructure has a total porosity defined as the sum of an open intrabead porosity of the beads and an interbead porosity defined by interstices between the beads in the interconnected network. The microstructure has a bimodal pore size distribution in which an intrabead median pore size of the intrabead porosity is from 1.5 μm to 4 μm and an interbead median pore size of the interbead porosity is from 6 μm to 20 μm.

Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a ceramic susceptor, the method including: preparing ceramic sheets; preparing a lamination structure of a molded body, in which the ceramic sheets are laminated and a conductive metal layer for electrodes is disposed between the ceramic sheet laminated products; and sintering the lamination structure of the molded body, wherein the preparing of the ceramic sheets includes: obtaining a vitrified first additive powder by heat-treating a slurry containing MgO, SiO.sub.2, and CaO; preparing a slurry by mixing an Al.sub.2O.sub.3 powder with the first additive powder, a second additive powder containing a MgO powder, and a third additive powder containing a Y.sub.2O.sub.3 powder; and forming the ceramic sheets by tape casting the slurry.
Coating fabrication method for producing engineered microstructure of silicate-resistant barrier coating
A coating fabrication method includes providing engineered granules and thermally consolidating the engineered granules on a substrate to form a silicate-resistant barrier coating. Each of the engineered granules is an aggregate of at least one refractory matrix region and at least one calcium aluminosilicate additive region (CAS additive region) attached with the at least one refractory matrix region. In the thermal consolidation, the refractory matrix region from the engineered granules form grains of a refractory matrix of the silicate-resistant barrier coating and the CAS additive region from the engineered granules form CAS additives that are dispersed in grain boundaries between the grains.

Polysilocarb formulations, cured and pyrolized materials, was well as articles and use for this material. In particular pyrolized polysilocarb ceramic materials and articles contain these materials where, the ceramic has from about 30 weight % to about 60 weight % silicon, from about 5 weight % to about 40 weight % oxygen, and from about 3 weight % to about 35 weight % carbon, and wherein 20 weight % to 80 weight % of the carbon is silicon-bound-carbon and 80 weight % to about 20 weight % of the carbon is free carbon.
