The actuating element is accessible from the outside by a frame part or through a frame part.
PROSTHETIC FOOT WITH REMOVABLE FLEXIBLE MEMBERS
A prosthetic foot can include an attachment member, at least one first brace, at least one first flexible member, an unpowered actuator, at least one second brace, and at least one second flexible member. The attachment member can include a connector configured to connect the attachment member to a user or another prosthetic device. The at least one first brace can mount to the attachment member and the at least one first flexible member can connect to the attachment member by the at least one first brace such that a force between the ground and the attachment member can be supported by the at least one first flexible member. The unpowered actuator can mount to the attachment member and the at least one second brace can mounted to the actuator. The at least one second flexible member can connect to the attachment member by the at least one second brace such that a force between the ground and the attachment member can be supported by the at least one second flexible member.
JOINT DEVICE
A joint device of an orthosis or prosthesis or for an orthosis or prosthesis with an upper part, a lower part, a joint that comprises a joint axis, about which the upper part is mounted such that it can be swivelled relative to the lower part, and an actuator, which is designed to influence a swivelling of the upper part relative to the lower part. The actuator is mounted at an upper part fixing point on the upper part and at a lower part fixing point on the lower part. At least two joints are arranged between the upper part fixing point and the lower part fixing point, wherein the joints enable a swivelling of the actuator relative to the upper part fixing point and the lower part fixing point, and the joint each form at least one joint axis, at least one of which is not oriented parallel to the joint axis.
Gripping device
A gripping device having a chassis, at least one first finger element pivotally mounted on the chassis, at least one drive, and a force transmission element coupling the drive to the first finger element. The force transmission element pivots the first finger element relative to the chassis about two differently oriented pivot axes.
Biomimetic prosthetic device
A prosthetic device includes a phalanges portion, a metatarsals portion that is movably coupled to the phalanges portion, an ankle portion that is movably coupled to the metatarsals portion, and a calcaneus portion that is movably coupled to the ankle portion.
Driving module and motion assistance apparatus including the same
A driving module may include a driving source configured to generate power, a gear train that includes a decelerating gear set configured to receive driving power from the driving source and a ring gear attached to one side of the gear train, and a rotary joint that includes at least one planetary gear configured to rotate in response to power received from an output end of the decelerating gear set and to revolve along the ring gear. The driving module may include one or more noise reducing members configured to mitigate noise produced based on interaction between one or more elements of the driving module. The driving module may be included in a motion assistance apparatus, where the driving module drives a module that supports a portion of a user body.
SPACER UNIT FOR USE IN A MOVABLE JOINT OF A PROSTHETIC OR ORTHOPEDIC SYSTEM
A prosthetic system includes a movable joint defining at least one gap, and at least one spacer unit positionable in the at least one gap. The at least one spacer unit includes a resilient element that is controllably deformable to vary a thickness of the at least one spacer unit to fill the at least one gap, and to reduce the likelihood of the at least one spacer unit interfering with relative movement between components of the movable joint. The at least one material forming the resilient element is compressible in a first direction with little or no expansion in a second direction normal to the first direction.
Prosthetic socket
The present invention provides a prosthetic socket (10) having a longitudinal axis X for attachment to a limb of a patient having first and second sides (A, B) which comprises a first portion (20) having a first edge (22), a second edge (24) a first end (26) and a second end (28) and second portion (30) having a first edge (32) a second edge (34) a first end (36) and a second edge (38). A hinge (40) is connecting the first edge (22) of the first portion (20) to the first edge (32) of the second portion (30) and a clasp (50) is provided between the second edge (24) of the first portion (20) and the second edge (34) of the second portion (30). Such an arrangement allows for a prosthetic socket (10) to be more easily attached and removed to a patients limb.
Prosthetic hand
The present invention provides a prosthetic device (10) having an anchor portion (30) in combination with a base portion (12) which is connected to the anchor portion (30). An elongate digit (14) is coupled to a first portion of a pivot connection (16a) mounted on the base portion (12), whilst a second portion of a pivot connection (16b) is mounted on the proximal end (14a) of the digit (14) and is connected to the first portion (16a) of the pivot connection (16). A linear actuator (40) within the elongate digit (14) has a first portion (40a) secured to the elongate digit (14) for movement therewith and a second portion (40b) remote therefrom and axially movable relative thereto and is operable with said pivot connection (16) to cause pivotal movement of the digit (14) around the pivot connection (16a, 16b) upon axial movement of the second portion (40b) of the linear actuator (40).
Prosthesis or orthosis
A prosthesis or orthosis for a joint, such as an ankle, which includes a first body, a second body, and an articulated joint between the first and second bodies, the articulated joint allowing the rotation of the first and second bodies with respect to one another around a joint rotation axis. It further includes a locking mechanism configured to selectively lock the rotation between the first and second bodies in one direction, when it is in a locked configuration, and a transmission mechanism such that a rotation of the joint rotation axis generates a movement of a lockable part of the locking mechanism. The axis of the movement of the lockable part is shifted relative to the joint rotation axis and the transmission mechanism includes a reducer configured to reduce effort to lock the rotation of the first body with respect to the second body.
