Arm support apparatus
11547592 · 2023-01-10 ·

The arm brace supports the arm weight. The arm brace has a soft elastic arm pad that partially surrounds and protects the forearm. The arm pad is secured to a platform that is supported by a brace structure that is secured to the waist and the thigh of the patient. The weight of the arm can be supported by the hips. The brace is releasably coupled to a side of a patient's torso and thigh with belts. The brace provides rotational stability that immobilizes the arm regardless of the position of the patient. The brace has a hinge adjacent to the hip that allows the brace to immobilize the forearm while the patent dynamically moves during activities including: standing, walking, sitting, and lying down. The hand extends out from the brace so the user can perform activities such as eating, typing, and grasping.

STERNAL PAD MOUNT FOR SPINE BRACE

The disclosure provides a brace having a brace panel; a pad having an adjustment post with adjustment apertures; and an adjustable mount integrated with the panel for adjustably mounting the pad onto the panel, the adjustable mount including wedged levers operatively associated with a retaining arm having pins and located within a channel configured to receive the adjustment post of the sternal pad and the adjustment apertures.

An adjustable back brace configured to aid in the correction of spinal curvature during a treatment period of a patient is provided. In some aspects, the adjustable back brace comprises a rod, an inferior segment, and a superior segment. The inferior segment is configured to stabilize a pelvic region of the patient. The superior segment is configured to apply pressure to one of a first lateral side and a second lateral side of the patient, proximate a thoracic region of the patient to provide a corrective force on the spinal curvature of the patient. The superior segment is also selectively adjustable to be selectively moved and fixedly positioned in a plurality of positions along at least one of the lateral direction or the vertical direction, wherein the plurality of positions are designed for periodic adjustment of the corrective force on the spinal curvature during the treatment period.

The present invention relates to an adjustable scoliosis correction brace that presents a novel structure of scoliosis correction brace with multiple inflatable airbags and are placed at multiple places. These bags can be inflated with air to presses against that curve where the air can be measured with an air gauge attached to the pump which will measure the amount of pressure being applied and trains the spine to return to a straighter portion, reducing the scoliotic curve. Once required to be deflated the air pressure hose can be removed and the brace worn as a normal brace would be worn.

HUMAN BODY FLEXION AND EXTENSION ASSIST DEVICE
20220409418 · 2022-12-29 ·

Provided is a human body flexion and extension assist device that is in close contact with a back, a pelvis, and a thigh of the human body to exert an assisting force to a flexion and extension motion of an upper body. According to a human body flexion and extension assist device according to the present disclosure, it is possible to store energy by a lower back flexing motion, and conversely, assist the human body by transmitting energy to a lower back extending motion. In addition, it is possible to determine a current motion of a human body, determine when an assisting force is delivered to a lower body, and minimizing discomfort by moving a lower body freely when assisting force is unnecessary.

PELVIS CORRECTION BELT

A pelvis correction belt includes a support member (10) and a press member (20). The press member is provided with multiple belt members (22, 24) placed in upper and lower portions and having elasticity in a longitudinal direction, and the belt members (22, 24) press the pelvis by coupling coupling parts (30, 40) of the press member. The pelvis correction belt is further provided with a first pressing auxiliary belt (50) and a second pressing auxiliary belt (60), each of which extends to both left and right sides from the support member (10) and has a combining part (52, 62) on its tip that can combine with one of the coupling parts (40). By combining the combining parts (52, 62) with the coupling parts (30, 40), the first pressing auxiliary belt (50) and the second pressing auxiliary belt (60) respectively press left and right portions on the rear side of the pelvis.

Brace having elastic and inelastic portions
11529251 · 2022-12-20 · ·

Braces having elastic portions that can be made effectively inelastic, based on a level of comfort or support desired by a user, via an inelastic tightening mechanism are disclosed. Some contemplated braces have lumbar supports that are at made at least in part of an elastic material, and inelastic tightening systems that extend across the elastic material and can decrease the effective elasticity of the elastic material to provide greater support.
