Surgical Infant Diaper
A surgical infant diaper. The surgical infant diaper includes a flexible body having an interior layer and an exterior layer, wherein the flexible body further includes a front portion, a rear portion, and a central portion therebetween. The flexible body is movable between an open position and a closed position, wherein the closed position an upper opening and a pair of leg openings are defined. A central aperture extends through the front portion, wherein the central aperture is positioned to receive a penis of the wearer therethrough.
BAG WITH BIOCIDE AND ABSORBENT POWDER
The present invention relates to a bag for biological waste, such as urine, containing inside thereof a powder apt to release a biocide when the bag is filled up with the liquid, wherein the biocide is chlorine dioxide.
URINE OUTPUT COLLECTION AND MONITORING SYSTEM
Improved urine output collection apparatus and monitoring device features are provided. The disposable urine collection apparatus includes a collection reservoir and a diverter for controlling the flow of urine to a first passageway of the diverter in a first position and to a second passageway of the diverter in a second position, wherein the first passageway is fluidly interconnected to the collection reservoir. The disposable urine collection apparatus may include a cartridge having an internal chamber and inlet and outlet members interconnected to the cartridge, wherein the inlet member is selectively, fluidly interconnectable to the second passageway of the diverter, and wherein the outlet member is selectively, fluidly interconnectable to the collection reservoir. The monitoring device is interconnectable with the cartridge and operable to monitor a volume and/or level of urine collected within the cartridge. The cartridge may include a front portion and a reduced-width projecting portion extending rearwardly from the front portion. The projecting portion of the cartridge may be received within a recessed portion of the monitoring device. The monitoring device may include at least light source (e.g. a laser diode) for emitting a fan beam light signal into the projecting portion and a light detector array (e.g. a charge coupled device) for detection of the fan beam light signal and output of signals employable to determine a volume and/or level of collected urine.
Disposable tube for use during ostomy appliance attachment
A disposable cupping tube for collecting fluid from a stoma with a hollow compressible cone seated on a rigid hollow stepped conical frustrum having an upper tier and lower tier. The lower tier having an inner wall sloped at a lower angle than the outside wall to maximize the contact area with the periphery of a stoma when the cone is compressed and the base of the stepped conical frustrum is passed over the stoma and pressed against the peristomal skin. An effective air seal is formed between the contact area and the stoma and between the base of the lower tier with the peristomal skin which is pulled up and around the base by the vacuum. A disc with perforations inserted into the lower tier divides the cupping tube into an upper and lower chamber when present.
Ostomy port
A stomal insert for conducting waste content from an intestinal portion in an abdominal cavity through a stoma in an abdominal wall comprising; a cover for covering the stoma; a fixation element for anchoring the stomal insert to a visceral side of the abdominal wall; and a pliable, axially elastic tube interconnecting said cover and said fixation element and sized to apply a tensile force to said cover and to said fixation element.
URINE COLLECTION CONTAINER LINER ASSEMBLY AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Examples relate to urine collection container liner assemblies, and related systems and methods. A urine collection system includes a urine collection device configured to collect urine discharged from a user, a pump configured to draw urine from the urine collection device by applying at least a partial suction force to a reservoir within the urine collection device, a urine collection container in fluid communication with urine collection device, and a liner assembly configured to be disposed within the urine collection container. The liner assembly includes a liner extending from the lid to a closed bottom portion and defining an interior of the liner assembly.
Female Urination Assembly
A female urination assembly for facilitating a female to urinate while standing up includes a cone. The cone is selectively aligned with female genitalia thereby facilitating the cone to direct a flow of urine in a selected direction. A coating is positioned on the cone. The coating is comprised of a resinous material such that the coating facilitates structural rigidity to the cone.
Ostomy appliance
An ostomy appliance comprising an adaptor having a distal end adapted to be coupled to an ostomy wafer and a proximal end adapted to be coupled to a cap, said distal end having an opening in fluid communication with an opening in said proximal end.
Ostomy Pouch Replacement Device
An ostomy pouch replacement device allows ostomates with a surgically created stoma to collect, contain and dispose of bodily fluids during hygienic maintenance. The device is customizable to each ostomate's unique stoma diameter and provides a disposable waste receptacle having a hollow absorbent section and a solid absorbent section for sanitary, discreet and odorless disposal of both urine and excrement. The disposable waste receptacle may include a super absorbent polymer powder that becomes a gel in the presence of liquid. The device preferably consists of a disposable waste receptacle that may be positioned over the stoma and includes an absorbent inner material for capturing waste, a cap or plug for sealing the device after use, and a collar stand for pressing an adhesive wafer to the skin and for holding the assembled device in an upright position.
Ventriculostomy patch system and method
A ventriculostomy patch system is disclosed herein. The ventriculostomy patch system including a base-ring, and a window assembly. The base-ring includes a circular body, with the circular-body having an outer-surface, an inner-surface, a top-surface, and a bottom-surface. The bottom-surface includes a catheter-notch; the catheter-notch is configured for removably retaining a ventriculostomy catheter. The base-ring further includes at least two dome-tabs, each of the at least two dome-tabs located upon the outer surface of the base-ring. Preferably, the base-ring is constructed from anti-microbial materials. The window assembly includes an external-ring and a window, where the window assembly is removably affixable to the top-surface of the base-ring.
