The sealer composition for a coating film includes a polyol mixture containing a polyester polyol and a polyether polyol in a predetermined ratio, an isocyanate compound including a blocked isocyanate, and a curing catalyst and the coating film prepared from the sealer composition has improved appearance quality as well as improved abrasion resistance.
SPHERICAL PARTICLES COMPRISING CARBON NANOMATERIAL-GRAFT-POLYURETHANE AND METHODS OF PRODUCTION AND USES THEREOF
A nonlimiting example method of forming highly spherical carbon nanomaterial-graft-polyurethane (CNM-g-polyurethane) particles may comprising: mixing a mixture comprising: (a) carbon nanomaterial-graft-polyurethane (CNM-g-polyurethane), wherein the CNM-g-polyurethane particles comprises: a polyurethane grafted to a carbon nanomaterial, (b) a carrier fluid that is immiscible with the polyurethane of the CNM-g-polyurethane, optionally (c) a thermoplastic polymer not grafted to a CNM, and optionally (d) an emulsion stabilizer at a temperature greater than a melting point or softening temperature of the polyurethane of the CNM-g-polyurethane and the thermoplastic polymer, when included, and at a shear rate sufficiently high to disperse the CNM-g-polyurethane in the carrier fluid; cooling the mixture to below the melting point or softening temperature to form CNM-g-polyurethane particles; and separating the CNM-g-polyurethane particles from the carrier fluid.
Aqueous polyurethane dispersion adhesive compositions
An aqueous polyurethane dispersion compositions are disclosed. The compositions include a polyurethane prepolymer dispersed in an aqueous medium, the polyurethane prepolymer comprising an isocyanate and a crystalline polyester polyol having a hydroxyl content of 20 to 150 mg KOH/g and a melt temperature of less than or equal to 90° C. Methods of forming a laminate are also disclosed. The methods include providing an aqueous polyurethane dispersion, applying the polyurethane dispersion to a surface of the first substrate, bringing the side of the first substrate into contract with a surface of the second substrate, and curing the aqueous dispersion, thereby laminating the first substrate to the second substrate. Laminates formed by the methods and including the compositions are also disclosed.
ACID-BLOCKED PYRROLIDINE CATALYSTS FOR POLYURETHANE FOAM
The present disclosure relates to acid-blocked pyrrolidine catalysts for use in a polyurethane formulation. The polyurethane formulation includes the acid-blocked pyrrolidine catalyst, a compound containing an isocyanate functional group, an active hydrogen-containing compound and a halogenated olefin compound. The use of such acid-blocked pyrrolidine catalysts show surprisingly low reactivity with halogenated olefin compounds yet sufficient reactivity to catalyze polyurethane formation.
Reactive Hot Melt Adhesive Composition and Use Thereof
The present invention relates to a reactive hot melt adhesive composition and the use thereof. In particular, the present invention provides an adhesive having excellent washing resistance, especially having excellent resistance to antibacterial laundry cleansers. In addition, the adhesive has very short open time and good softness upon curing.
BIO-PAINT COMPOSITION HAVING IMPROVED HYDROLYSIS RESISTANCE AND METHOD OF PREPARING SAME
