RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAM AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A rigid polyurethane foam which is a polymerization product of a composition including a concentrated acid hydrolytic lignin, a polyol, and an isocyanate, and a method of preparing the rigid polyurethane foam.
Compositions and methods for fabricating durable, low-ice-adhesion coatings
This invention provides durable, low-ice-adhesion coatings with excellent performance in terms of ice-adhesion reduction. Some variations provide a low-ice-adhesion coating comprising a microstructure with a first-material phase and a second-material phase that are microphase-separated on an average length scale of phase inhomogeneity from 1 micron to 100 microns. Some variations provide a low-ice-adhesion material comprising a continuous matrix containing a first component; and a plurality of discrete inclusions containing a second component, wherein the inclusions are dispersed within the matrix to form a phase-separated microstructure that is inhomogeneous on an average length scale from 1 micron to 100 microns, wherein one of the first component or the second component is a low-surface-energy polymer, and the other is a hygroscopic material. The coatings are characterized by an AMIL Centrifuge Ice Adhesion Reduction Factor up to 100 or more. These coatings are useful for aerospace surfaces and other applications.
COMPOSITE ALUMINUM ALLOY PROFILE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Disclosed are a composite aluminum alloy profile and a preparation method therefor. The composite aluminum alloy profile includes an outer decorative profile, a polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive, and an inner frame profile. The inner frame profile is an integral component of alkali-free glass fibers and polyurethane resin formed by one-time extrusion, and a cross section thereof is “”-shaped; and the outer decorative profile is connected to the inner frame profile through the polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive. The preparation method includes: preparing glass fibers and polyurethane materials of components A and B into a glass fiber resin reinforced profile by a compound strip-threading and injection machine, adhering the inner frame profile to the outer decorative profile through the polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive, and rolling the same. The profile has the features of heat and sound insulation and is easy to produce.
Aqueous Polyurethane Dispersions for Artificial Leather Applications
Aqueous polyurethane dispersions are useful for making artificial leather and similar products. The dispersions contain polyurethane-urea particles dispersed in an aqueous phase. The particles are made using isophorone diisocyanate, certain cyclic amine chain extenders and certain polyol mixtures.
LOW DENSITY, LOW COMPRESSION SET, LONG RECOVERY TIME POLYURETHANE FOAM
Flexible polyurethane foams are characterized in having slow recovery times, low foam densities and very low compression sets. The foams are useful in human comfort applications such as pillows and mattresses.
POROUS MATERIALS FOR ENERGY MANAGEMENT
Method for preparing porous polyurethane materials with controlled pore size and shape using isocyanates, polyols, and additives, and the porous polyurethane materials prepared therefrom. Method for preparing porous polyimides using at least one polyamine and a dianhydride and the porous polyimides materials prepared therefrom. The porous materials are useful for energy management, such as thermal, impact and vibration energy, and can exhibit improved fire-resistant performance.
