Oral Appliance
An oral appliance that is placed in a user's mouth. An upper tray is designed to engage with a user's maxillary teeth, and a lower tray is designed to engage with a user's mandibular teeth. Thermal impression material may be designed into at least one of the trays to engage the upper and lower dentition. Two side straps mechanisms are designed to connect the upper and lower trays, and may provide forward positioning of the lower jaw relative to the upper jaw. A ramped lingual shelf may be included on the inside portion of the lower tray, to position a user's tongue forward and upward. The upper tray has an open section in its anterior portion which provides additional space for a forward-positioned tongue. Upper and lower trays may be constructed out of rigid polypropylene or similar materials.
Dental appliances and methods for their fabrication
The invention consists of a rapidly crosslinkable, two-component silicone elastomer together with a specially designed tray that serves as a form for the silicone resin and forms an integral portion of a dental appliance.
Lingual repositioning devices, controller station, and methods of treating and/or diagnosing medical disorders
Lingual repositioning devices have a mandibular piece having a teeth covering and a first housing proximate either a left molar portion or a right molar portion of the teeth covering. The first housing includes a stimulator protrusion extending therefrom at a position to extend toward a tongue of a user and to contact a lingual muscle of the tongue or includes a sensor portion extending therefrom at a position to extend toward a tongue of a user and to be positioned under the tongue. The stimulator protrusion encloses a stimulator and the first housing encloses a power source electrically connected to a circuit board and electrically connected to an electrode of a stimulator. A second housing at the other of the left or right molar portions has a stimulator protrusion or a sensor portion. The first and second housings may be removably attachable to the teeth covering.
Maxillary devices, controller station, and methods of treating and/or diagnosing medical disorders
Maxillary devices and Mandibular devices each have a first housing connectable to a tooth of a user or connectable or integral with a teeth covering, wherein the housing encloses an on-board circuit board and a power source. The first housing of the maxillary devices has a tooth connecting portion, a palate housing portion and/or a buccal housing portion. The first housing of the mandibular devices has a tooth connecting portion and a sublingual portion. Each of the palate housing portion and the buccal housing portion enclose a stimulator having an electrode electrically connected to the on-board circuit board and the power source, and can enclose a sensor and/or a medicament dispenser. The sublingual portion encloses a sensor and a medicament dispenser each of which are in electrical communication with the microprocessor of the on-board circuit board.
COMBINED ORTHODONTIC MOVEMENT OF TEETH WITH AIRWAY DEVELOPMENT THERAPY
Systems, devices and methods are disclosed for reshaping airways concurrently with dental and/or orthodontic treatment. The systems can have a series of two or more oral appliances configured to progressively reposition the maxillary and mandibular teeth in two or more successive steps. Each oral appliance in the series can have one or more maxillary blocks, one or more mandibular blocks, a maxillary oral tray, and a mandibular oral tray. One or more maxillary blocks can be attached to or integrated with the maxillary oral tray. One or more mandibular blocks can be attached to or integrated with the mandibular oral tray. The maxillary and mandibular oral trays can be configured to move one or more teeth from a tooth first position to a tooth second position. The maxillary and mandibular blocks can be configured to interact with one another to treat sleep breathing disorders.
Mandibular advancement device
A customizable mandibular advancement device for use in treating snoring and obstructive sleep apnea is provided. The device comprises upper and lower trays adapted to be fitted to a person's maxillary and mandibular arches. The upper tray comprises a stop member, which when engaged with a fin located on the lower tray, inhibits the posterior movement of the user's mandible thereby maintaining the mandible in an advanced position. Both the upper and lower trays comprise a core that is overmolded by a thermoplastic material that has a much lower softening temperature than the core.
Dental appliance
A mouth guard includes a tray configured to encompass at least anterior teeth of a dental arch. The tray includes a pair of protrusions extending away from the tray, each protrusion configured to generally overlie a canine of the dental arch. The protrusions are configured to engage one or more anterior teeth of a dental arch, whereby damage to the at least anterior teeth of the dental arch is reduced or prevented.

Intraoral device for creating a sensation of contact, method for applying an intraoral device, and method for determining the thickness of an intraoral device
This invention presents an intraoral device for generation of contact perception between teeth, the device being configured for application to the upper or lower dental arch of a user and comprising a contact means (20, 20′) configured to be associated with at least a portion of one to four posterior teeth (D1) of the upper or lower dental arch, the device (10) being configured to generate a perception of contact to the user upon the contact between the contact means (20, 20′) and at least a portion of the opposing arch to at least a portion of one to four posterior teeth (D1), offering the option of an accessible intraoral device for practical use to the user, and that does not impair the mouth functions of the user during its use in the waking period. This invention further comprises a method of applying the device which allows the user to apply the device without assistance of a skilled professional, and a method for determining the thickness of the aforesaid device.
Systems, methods, and devices for treating mouth and jaw disorders
Maxillary and mandibular appliances can be mounted to a user's upper and lower jaws. The appliances can include a palatal pad, buccal tubes, hamular notch tubes, and an anterior deprogrammer. The various portions of the appliances can provoke beneficial reactions by muscles in the tongue and jaw area, massage the same muscles, or provide other beneficial effects.
