COMPOSITE MATERIALS BASED ON DUAL-CURING ISOCYANURATE POLYMERS
The present invention relates to polymerizable compositions which contain components that can be crosslinked both via isocyanurate bonds and by a radical reaction mechanism. The invention further relates to methods by way of which polymers can be produced from said compositions.
Urethane adhesive for laminated sheets
Disclosed is an adhesive for laminated sheets comprising a urethane resin obtained by blending: (A) an acrylic polyol; (B) at least one component selected from carboxylic acids and carboxylic anhydrides; and (C) an isocyanate compound. The acrylic polyol (A) is obtained by polymerization of a polymerizable monomer, has a glass transition temperature of from 35 C. to 20 C., and has a hydroxyl value of from 0.5 to 40 mgKOH/g. The adhesive for laminated sheets is excellent in initial adhesion to a film, peel strength after aging and hydrolysis resistance for a long time under high temperature when a laminated sheet is produced, and wherein the adhesive does not impart an adverse effect to the appearance of the laminated sheet and the lamination process of films while improving the curability. The laminated sheet is suitably prepared using the adhesive for laminated sheets. An article comprising the laminated sheet can be prepared using the laminated sheet.
URETHANE (METH)ACRYLATE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING URETHANE (METH)ACRYLATE, CURABLE COMPOSITION, CURED ARTICLE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CURED ARTICLE
Provided is a urethane (meth)acrylate capable of achieving high strength and high elongation, as well as a method for manufacturing a urethane (meth)acrylate, a curable composition, a cured article, and a method for manufacturing a cured article. The urethane (meth)acrylate contains a structural unit derived from polycarbonate diol, a structural unit derived from polyisocyanate, and a hydroxy group-containing (meth)acrylate-derived group, the polycarbonate diol containing one or more types of structural unit represented by formula (1) wherein each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 independently represents an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms.

WATER-EMULSIFIABLE ISOCYANATES WITH IMPROVED PROPERTIES
A mixture of water-emulsifiable isocyanates is described. The mixture contains (A) at least one polyisocyanate (a), (B) at least one emulsifier obtained by reacting at least one polyisocyanate with at least one polyether alcohol having a molecular weight of less than 400 g/mol, (C) at least one emulsifier obtained by reacting at least one polyisocyanate with at least one polyether alcohol having a molecular weight of greater than 450 g/mol, and (D) optionally at least one emulsifier obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate with at least one compound (d) having at least one hydrophilic, non-isocyanate-reactive group and precisely one isocyanate-reactive group (group D2). The weight ratio of component (B) to component (C) in the mixture is from 30:70 to 70:30, preferably from 40:60 to 60:40.
METHODS AND SENSORS FOR DETECTION
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for methods of detecting, sensors (e.g., chromogenic sensor), kits, compositions, and the like that related to or use tunable macroporous polymer. In an aspect, tunable macroporous materials as described herein can be used to determine the presence of a certain type(s) and quantity of liquid in a liquid mixture.
URETHANE METHACRYLATE COMPOUNDS AND USE THEREOF
Low-viscosity urethane methacrylate compounds are used as a backbone resin in reactive resins. In particular, the compounds are for lowering the viscosity of reactive resins containing such mixtures and thus the extrusion forces of reactive resin components produced therefrom and also for increasing the performance of reactive resins and reactive resin components produced therefrom containing such compounds. Furthermore, said compounds and their reactive resin components are used for construction purposes, in particular for chemical fastening.
OPTICAL ADHESIVE FOR GLASS AND POLYCARBONATE
Disclosed are UV curable adhesive compositions and methods to adhere polycarbonate substrates containing UV absorbers to glass for use in ophthalmic lenses.
High solids, low viscosity urethane-linkage containing latex and method of production thereof
A latex comprising a urethane linkage and having a high solids content and a low viscosity is described herein. Also described is a process for making the urethane linkage-containing latex wherein urethane linkage formation and emulsion polymerization take place in the same processing step.
