The present invention relates to an aqueous coating composition comprising polyurethane A and vinyl polymer, wherein the polyurethane A comprising as building blocks at least: (a) a polyisocyanate(s) containing at least one cyclic group, (b) a non-cyclic aliphatic diisocyanate(s) whereby the non-cyclic aliphatic group connecting the two isocyanate groups has 5 carbon atoms, and (c) a component(s) containing an isocyanate-reactive group(s), whereby the summed amount of (a) and (b) is 10 to 60 wt. %, relative to the total weight amount of components used to prepare the polyurethane A; and whereby the weight ratio between (a) and (b) is in the range from 50:50 to 99:1.

Systems and methods provide a polyurethane foam. One method may obtainable the polyurethane foam by mechanical foaming with a starting mixture comprising a polyurethane dispersion, the polyurethane being composed of at least one polyisocyanate component and at least one polyol component, and at least one surfactant. The present invention relates to a radiation-curable aqueous coating composition comprising a polyurethane A comprising as building blocks at least: (a) a polyisocyanate(s) containing at least one cyclic group, (b) a non-cyclic aliphatic diisocyanate(s) whereby the non-cyclic aliphatic group connecting the two isocyanate groups has 5 carbon atoms, and (c) a component(s) containing an isocyanate-reactive group(s), whereby the summed amount of (a) and (b) is 10 to 60 wt. %, relative to the total weight amount of components used to prepare the polyurethane A; and optionally radiation-curable diluent; whereby the weight ratio between (a) and (b) is in the range from 50:50 to 99:1; and whereby the ethylenically unsaturated bond concentration of the coating composition is in the range from 0.5 to 6 milliequivalents per g of polyurethane A and radiation-curable diluent.
Aqueously dispersible polyurethane
The invention relates to an aqueously dispersible polyurethane having a specific amount of substance of hydroxyl groups, OH, of at least 0.6 mol/kg, and additionally satisfying at least two of the following conditions: a) a degree of branching measured as specific amount of substance of tertiary and/or quaternary aliphatic carbon atoms of from 0.01 mol/kg to 0.5 mol/kg, b) a specific amount of urea groups >NCON< of from 0.8 mol/kg to 2 mol/kg, and c) a specific amount of substance of hydroxyl groups, OH, of from 1 mol/kg to 4 mol/kg, wherein in each case the specific amount of substance is based on the mass of the polyurethane, a process for the preparation thereof, and a method of use thereof.

Provided is a humic acid-based coating suspension comprising humic acid, particles of an anti-corrosive pigment or sacrificial metal, and a binder resin dissolved or dispersed in a liquid medium, wherein the humic acid has a weight fraction from 0.1% to 50% based on the total coating suspension weight excluding the liquid medium. Also provided is an object or structure coated at least in part with such a coating.
