DEFORMABLE THERMAL PACK
A thermal pack including: a pouch having a thermal material; covers for covering the pouch. The covers having field portions and first and second bonding edges peripherally outside the first and second field portions. A bendable and deformable support ring formed of sheet metal is disposed between the first and second bonding edges. The pouch is retained between the first and second covers by: at least indirect bonding of a first inner surface of the first bonding edge to a first side surface of the support ring and at least indirect bonding of a second inner surface of the second bonding edge to a second side surface of the support ring; and/or sewing an inner periphery of the first bonding edge to an inner periphery of the second bonding edge and/or an outer periphery of the first bonding edge to an outer periphery of the second bonding edge.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR AT LEAST ONE OF ICING, HEATING, AND COMPRESSING A USER'S BODY PART
A wearable device for at least one of icing, heating and compressing a user's body part is disclosed. The device includes an inner part and an outer part, each having an upper end and a lower end. The inner part has a first set of elastic properties, and the outer part has a second set of elastic properties. The outer part surrounds the inner part. A first attaching means is configured for attaching the lower end of the inner part to the lower end of the outer part. A compartment for receiving ice is defined by the space between the outer part and the inner part above the first attaching means. A compression force is provided by the second set of elastic properties compressing at least one of a hot element and cold element against the user's body part thereby eliminating a second attaching means above the first attaching means.
PATIENT WARMING APPARATUS
A patient warming apparatus having a central assembly and optionally extremity assemblies. The central assembly includes a heating body. The heating body comprises an inner heating fabric and an outer covering. The central assembly further includes a control module, a temperature sensor both attachable to a power supply. The extremity assemblies are attachable to the control module of the central assembly.
Therapeutic wrap
The subject matter of the invention relates to therapy wraps for the application of compression and/or thermal therapy to a patient. The wraps are formed of at least two layers of material which are sealed together to form at least one cavity between them. The wraps may be used in conjunction with a therapy machine which fills the cavity or cavities of the wraps with fluid such as a gas and/or a liquid. The unique shapes of the wraps are particularly suitable for providing therapy to the human body. The shapes permit the manipulation of the wraps around various portions of the human body such as the shoulder, back and foot.
Apparatus and method for remote pressure control of a fluidic bladder
A bladder pressure estimator has in sequence a pump, a first hose, a supply pressure sensor, a second hose, a bladder having an inlet coupled to the second hose, a bladder outlet coupled to a third hose of substantially equal length to the second hose, a return pressure sensor, and a fourth hose coupled to the return pressure sensor and returning fluid from the pump to the reservoir. A pressure estimate is formed by establishing the second hose length and inner diameter as the same as the third hose length and inner diameter, and forming the pressure estimate by averaging the supply pressure and return pressure. In an alternative embodiment, a control regulator forms an error signal from the difference between a setpoint and the average of the supply and return pressures. A head pressure measurement may be done by turning the pump off after a steady state reading is made.
COOLING SYSTEM FOR CIRCULATING COOLING FLUID THROUGH A COOLING PAD
A cooling system (1) for use in a non-invasive medical cooling process to cool at least one portion of the body of a person (2) by means of a cooling fluid flowing through a cooling pad (3), comprising a first pump 70, a fluid outlet conduit (20), a fluid inlet conduit (40 and;a second pump (80) arranged to pump cooling fluid through a fluid bypass conduit (60) from the fluid inlet conduit (40) to the fluid outlet conduit (20), whereinthe cooling system (1) is arranged such that cooling fluid is transported from the tank (10) to the fluid outlet conduit (20) when the first pump (70) is operated and such that cooling fluid is transported from the fluid inlet conduit (40) to the fluid outlet conduit when the second pump (80) is operated.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL ENTERTAINMENT, PHYSIOTHERAPY AND HEALTH-CARE DEVICE BASED ON CLOUD PLATFORM AND BUS STRUCTURE
A multifunctional entertainment, physiotherapy and health-care device based on a cloud platform and a bus structure. The device comprises a cloud platform, a mobile control terminal, a device body, and an industrial control host disposed on the device body, wherein several entertainment and health-care assemblies which are of a bus-type structure and are connected to the industrial control host are also disposed on the device body, and the cloud platform and a control APP on the mobile control terminal control the entertainment and health-care assemblies by means of the industrial control host. In the present invention, the entertainment and health-care assemblies of the plug-and-play bus-type structure are disposed on the device body, and are controlled by means of the control APP on the mobile control terminal, so as to provide people with a variety of entertainment and health-care functions.
COLD LEG WRAP
A leg wrap has an elongate body portion having an outer layer and an inner layer that define one or more interior spaces configured to receive one or more cold packs. Preferably, the body portion is sized to cover at least a substantial entirety of a length of the user's leg and, when wrapped around the user's leg, to cover at least a substantial entirety of a circumference of the user's leg. In some configurations, multiple sizes of the leg wrap can be provided to suit a range of users. The leg wrap also includes a plurality of retention elements configured to retain the leg wrap in the wrapped orientation on the user's leg.
TOURNIQUET AND TISSUE PRESERVATION SYSTEM
A tourniquet apparatus (10) comprises at least two expandable members (21,22) configured for applying pressure on a limb of a subject; and actuating means (143,144) for actuating the at least two expandable members (21,22), wherein the actuating means (143,144) are configured to actuate each expandable member independently and/or selectively. There is also provided a limb-cooling apparatus (200) comprising an inner stretchable layer (210) configured to engage and/or contact a limb of a subject; an outer layer (220) at least partially attached to the inner layer (210); and a cooling system (240) configured to supply a cooling medium (250) between the inner layer (210) and the outer layer (220).
