HEAD WRAP
The subject matter of the invention relates to therapy wraps for the application of compression and thermal therapy to a patient by fluid pumped through the wrap. The wraps are formed of at least two layers of material which are sealed together to form at least one cavity between them. At least two layers of the wrap are sealed together using a plurality of different seal patterns. The unique shape of the wrap and placement of the seals provides a wrap that may be folded to fit a patient's head and circulate fluid in a manner to compress the wrap against the wearer's head, particularly in areas where hair growth is desired while avoiding the application of therapy to other areas of the head, particularly the forehead and ears.
Shave-preparation face and neck mask and related methods
Generally disclosed is a mask for applying heated water, ointments, or other medications to the face and neck of a user. Although the preferred usage is application of hot water for shave-preparation etc, the disclosed mask can be also used with cold water for closing the pores and cooling the face after shaving or other kind of treatments.
HEATING PLATE WITH RECESS
A heating plate for the thermal-medical treatment of skin includes an acting section for being applied to the skin on a top side of the heating plate; a connecting section for attaching the heating plate to a printed circuit board on a bottom side of the heating plate; and a recess on the bottom side of the heating plate. A device for the thermal-medical treatment of skin and a method of manufacturing a heating plate are also disclosed.

Method and apparatus for dermatological hypopigmentation
Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure provide method and apparatus for effecting (e.g., lightening) an appearance of skin by cooling or freezing small separated surface regions of the skin to produce regions of local hypopigmentation. The width of the regions can be, for example, smaller than about 1 mm or 0.5 mm, and a distance between these frozen regions can be greater than about 3 times the width of the regions. An exemplary apparatus can be provided that includes a plurality of spatially-separated thermally conductive arrangements that can be affixed or otherwise coupled to a base. For example, the conductive arrangements can be regions of conductive material provided in or proximal to a thermal insulator, or thermally conductive protrusions affixed to the base. The conductive arrangements can be cooled and then contacted with the skin surface to produce the small regions of hypopigmentation.
Method, And System For Multi-Layer Cosmetic Pads and Use Thereof
A cosmetic pad, having a top layer constructed of non-woven material, a bottom layer constructed in a manner to allow for ventilation through the bottom layer, and at least one heating element between the top layer and the bottom layer and methods for using the cosmetic pad and cosmetic agents therein are provided. A system for applying a cosmetic agent to a subject's skin, hair, hands, feet or face is also provided.
Method and Apparatus of a Self-Managed Portable Hypothermia System
Disclosed herein is a method to enable a user to use a hypothermia system to cool a body part involved in cancer therapy or in brain trauma. The method enables the user to operate the hypothermia system by her- or himself and still be mobile. The hypothermia system comprises a conformal cap system, a thermally conductive liquid located between the body part to be cooled and the cap system, thermal transfer fluids, phase change materials, thermally insulated cooler, physical measuring devices, mechanical and electrical components, a smart user interface device, a battery, and an uninterruptible power controller. The method allows a user to control the rate of and temperature of cooling down the body part, exhibits parameters associated with the process of cooling the body part, provides alerts if necessary, is portable and entirely self-managed. The hypothermia device is in communication with and can be controlled by an application installed on a smart device, such as a phone. The method of using the hypothermia system can help to eliminate hair loss caused by the side effects of certain chemotherapy treatments or to reduce the metabolic rate of ischemic tissue to prevent or minimize the severity of swelling.
MEDICAL SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR HYPOPIGMENTATION COOLING TREATMENTS
Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to methods, devices, and systems for reducing a pigmentation of a skin of a patient. In some embodiments, freezing of the skin may be desirable to effect the hypopigmentation of the skin of the patient. Generally, embodiments may limit supercooling (or promote freezing) of the skin of the patient during a cooling treatment. In some embodiments, coupling fluids are provided to reduce a thermal contact resistance between a cooling treatment probe and the skin of the patient to improve cooling treatment. Optionally, a fluid carrier may be provided to help retain the coupling fluid at the treatment site. In some embodiments, the coupling fluid may include ice nucleating agents to promote ice crystal formation in the coupling fluid during cooling treatment. The ice crystal formation in the coupling fluid may progress into the skin to limit supercooling of the skin during treatment.
Scraping plate
A scraping plate is provided. The scraping plate includes a main body, a storage chamber for storing a liquid medicine and an electric heater for heating the liquid medicine. One end of the main body is provided with a scraping blade, and the other end opposite to the scraping blade is provided with a grip portion. Both the storage chamber and the electric heater are provided inside the main body. A surface of the scraping blade is provided with at least one liquid medicine outlet, wherein each liquid medicine outlet is communicated with the storage chamber.
Instrumented wound closure device
A wound or incision closure apparatus comprises a first and second panel. Each of the panels comprises a bottom adhesive layer, a medial substrate layer, and an upper load distribution layer which connect the two panels. A sensory or therapeutic element is disposed adjacent, within, or between two or more of the layers. The sensory or therapeutic element can provide sensing and/or therapy for the incision and/or monitor the incision so that the therapy can be customized and updated.
