ADDITIVE COMPOSITIONS AND THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING THE SAME
A method for producing a thermoplastic polymer composition comprises the steps of separately providing a thermoplastic polymer and an additive composition and then mixing the thermoplastic polymer and additive composition. The additive composition comprises a clarifying agent and a coloring agent. Another method for producing a thermoplastic polymer composition comprises the steps of separately providing a thermoplastic polymer, a clarifying agent, and a coloring agent and then mixing the thermoplastic polymer, the clarifying agent, and the coloring agent. The coloring agent is present in the composition in an amount to yield a composition exhibiting CIE L*, a*, and b* values falling within a defined color space. An additive composition contains a clarifying agent and a coloring agent. The coloring agent is present in the composition in such an amount that when the additive composition is added to a thermoplastic polymer composition, the thermoplastic polymer composition exhibits CIE L*, a*, and b* values falling within a defined color space.

The present application relates to a flame retardant polycarbonate composition and molded parts as well as articles made therefrom. The polycarbonate composition comprises the following components: an aromatic polycarbonate, a rubber-modified vinyl (co)polymer, an aromatic polyester, a reinforcement material, a phosphorus containing flame retardant; and a chain extender. The molded parts made from the polycarbonate composition according to the present invention have improved adhesion with a polyurethane-based coating system.

Described as one aspect of the invention are polyester compositions containing: (I) at least one polyester which comprises: (a) a dicarboxylic acid component comprising: (i) 70 to 100 mole % of terephthalic acid residues; (ii) 0 to 30 mole % of aromatic dicarboxylic acid residues having up to 20 carbon atoms; and (iii) 0 to 10 mole % of aliphatic dicarboxylic acid residues having up to 16 carbon atoms; and (b) a glycol component comprising: (i) 1 to 99 mole % of 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol residues; and (ii) 1 to 99 mole % of cyclohexanedimethanol residues; and (II) at least one thermal stabilizer chosen from at least one of alkyl phosphate esters, aryl phosphate esters, mixed alkyl aryl phosphate esters, reaction products thereof, and mixtures thereof;
wherein the total mole % of the dicarboxylic acid component is 100 mole %, and
wherein the total mole % of the glycol component is 100 mole %.

Described as one aspect of the invention are polyester compositions containing: (I) at least one polyester which comprises: (a) a dicarboxylic acid component comprising: (i) 70 to 100 mole % of terephthalic acid residues; (ii) 0 to 30 mole % of aromatic dicarboxylic acid residues having up to 20 carbon atoms; and (iii) 0 to 10 mole % of aliphatic dicarboxylic acid residues having up to 16 carbon atoms; and (b) a glycol component comprising: (i) 1 to 99 mole % of 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol residues; and (ii) 1 to 99 mole % of cyclohexanedimethanol residues; and (II) at least one thermal stabilizer chosen from at least one of alkyl phosphate esters, aryl phosphate esters, mixed alkyl aryl phosphate esters, reaction products thereof, and mixtures thereof;
wherein the total mole % of the dicarboxylic acid component is 100 mole %, and
wherein the total mole % of the glycol component is 100 mole %.
CELLULOSE RESIN COMPOSITION, MOLDED BODY AND PRODUCT USING SAME
The present invention provides a cellulose resin composition capable of forming a molded body having high-quality appearance and scratch resistance. A cellulose resin composition including a cellulose derivative, a lubricant, a plasticizer, and a colorant, wherein the cellulose derivative is an acylated cellulose obtained by substituting at least a part of hydrogen atoms of hydroxy groups of a cellulose with an acyl group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, the content of the lubricant is in a range of 0.1 to 10% by mass, the plasticizer is an aromatic plasticizer, the content of the plasticizer is in a range of 0.1 to 100 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the cellulose derivative, and the content of the colorant is in a range of 0.01 to 10% by mass.

The present invention provides a cellulose resin composition capable of forming a molded body having high-quality appearance and scratch resistance.
