APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT OF OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA UTILIZING CRYOLYSIS OF ADIPOSE TISSUES
Methods, devices, and systems employ cryolysis of oropharyngeal adipose tissues to selectively remove fat cells from the tissues causing obstructive sleep apnea. In various embodiments, a chilled liquide.g., a liquid or airis applied to the target tissue at a temperature and for a duration sufficient to cause cryolysis.
Sterile Sleeve for Use in the Production of Surgical Slush
A sleeve kit comprising a container sleeve and a sleeve cap which may be engaged with the container sleeve to form a sleeve assembly that envelopes a slush container, the sleeve kit including an attachment system to allow the sleeve cap to be engaged with the container sleeve to form the sleeve assembly and then become disengaged so that the slush container may be removed from the container sleeve. The attachment system may be a single-use attachment system to allow the sleeve cap to be engaged with the container sleeve to form the sleeve assembly. The container sleeve may have a set of at least one vent which allows air to move from an open top end of the container sleeve to a space between a bottom of an inserted slush container and a bottom of the container sleeve to facilitate removal of the slush container from the container sleeve.
COOLING SUIT
Cooling suit including legs, torso and arms, which includes outwardly opening hose sleeve in the hip area, inwardly branching gas ducts having several outlet openings. A pressurized gas cylinder for carrying along and connecting outlet hose with coupling piece to this hose sleeve, and which comprises a valve and adjusting wheel for the regulated delivery of expanded gas into these gas ducts. The gas ducts in the upper-body have outflow openings in the area of the lower back, hips, neck area, armpits, arm joints, and sleeves. In the lower-body garment, outflow openings are arranged in the knees and the crotch area. This cooling suit is operated with a dry, compressed gas. The gas flowing from the pressure cylinder is expanded, subsequently cools down and then flows through the gas ducts and cools the body. Perspiration is carried away by the permanent gas supply via the breathable fabric of the suit.
DEVICE FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF A COSMETIC PRODUCT, CORRESPONDING PROCESS, USE AND CONTAINER
The present invention relates to a device (1) for the administration of a cosmetic product, with a first holder (2) for a pressurized gas cartridge (3), a second holder (4) for a cosmetic product container (5), flow rate regulating means (6), a nozzle (7) with heating means (8), and a trigger (9) which allows opening the passage of gas when operated. The first holder (2) allows housing a cartridge (3) for the passage of pressurized gas towards the flow rate regulating means (6). The first holder (2), the flow rate regulating means (6) and the nozzle (7) are fluidically connected. The regulating means are located downstream of the first holder (2) and upstream of the nozzle (7). The second holder (4) allows housing a container (5) for the passage of a product towards the nozzle (7) by means of a first conduit (10). The invention also relates to the corresponding process, use and container.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BIOLOGICAL EVALUATION
A medical device for monitoring biological parameters through an Abreu Brain Thermal Tunnel (ABTT) is provided. By monitoring and analyzing the temperature of the ABTT, it is possible to diagnosis changes in a patient or subject under a variety of conditions, including predicting the course of medical conditions. Furthermore, since the ABTT is predictive, analysis of the ABTT may be used to control mechanisms for safety when an impending medical condition makes such operation hazardous.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENDOTRACHEAL DELIVERY OF FROZEN PARTICLES
A treatment system delivers a breathing gas and frozen ice or other particles (FSP) to a bronchus of a lung of a patient in order to induce hypothermia. The breathing gas and the FSP are usually delivered through separate lumens. Clogging of an FSP lumen can be inhibited by heating and/or cooling of the lumen. The temperature of exhaled gases or a body temperature may be measured, and a controller can adjust the duration or rate at which the ice particles are delivered in order to control the patient's core temperature based on the measured temperature.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SLURRY GENERATION
The present invention involves the use of a small profile device for preparation and/or delivery of cold slurry into the human body. The cold slurry can be generated within the device itself or within a separate small chamber, both of which produce a cold slurry using a cooling source and an injectable fluid. The delivery device provides continued agitation to the fluid/slurry through rotation and/or vibration of blades within the device. The fluid/cold slurry is cooled/kept cool through the use of an external cooling device, such as a cooling sleeve, that at least partially surrounds the delivery device. The cooling sleeve can cool or maintain the temperature of the cold slurry through a number of mechanisms. The cold slurry can be delivered using a device in accordance with the present invention to any tissue inside the body, including subcutaneous fat, visceral fat, and brown fat.
Cooling apparatus and cooling method
This application relates to a cooling device that sprays a coolant received from a coolant reservoir toward a target region to cool the target region. In one aspect, the cooling device includes a spraying unit from which the coolant is sprayed, a valve configured to regulate a flow of the coolant, and a control unit configured to control opening and closing of the valve, wherein, when cooling starts. The control unit controls a first cooling mode in which a temperature of the target region is decreased and a second cooling mode in which the temperature of the target region is maintained in a predetermined temperature range to be sequentially performed.
FILTER MODULE USED FOR COOLING SYSTEM AND COOLING DEVICE
Proposed is a filter module including a filter that filters impurities out in the coolant emitted from a cartridge which includes a housing and a cap. The filter module may include not only a filter accommodation member including a support surface and a perforating member protruding from the support surface but also a first sealing member with a first external diameter including a through-hole fitted into the perforating member. The first sealing member may be transformed into a shape with a second external diameterthe second external diameter is smaller than the first external diametercorresponding to the width of an inlet of the housing in which the first sealing member accommodates a cap when the cap is perforated by the perforating member.
Automated dermatological cryospray treatment planning system
The present is directed to improved systems, methods, and devices for providing skin cooling treatment. The skin cooling treatment system can include a mechanical arm and a cryospray applicator coupled to a distal end of the mechanical arm. The skin cooling treatment system can include a processor that can receive imagery of a portion of skin of a patient for receiving a skin cooling treatment and automatically identify boundaries from the received imagery to designate portions of the skin of the patient for receiving the skin cooling treatment. The processor can determine an instantaneous treatment footprint and can generate a treatment path based on the treatment footprint. The processor can control the cryospray applicator to deliver the skin cooling treatment to the skin according to the treatment path.
