FOOT WARMING ASSEMBLY
A foot warming assembly to receive and heat a person's feet has a housing that consists of a bottom wall and a perimeter wall. The perimeter wall is attached to the bottom wall and extends upwards to define an upper edge. A dividing wall is attached to the perimeter wall between the bottom wall and the upper edge and divides the area inside the housing into a compartment below and an upper portion above the dividing wall. A heating element is positioned within the compartment. A controller is electrically coupled to the heating element to turn the heating element on or off. A power supply is in electrical communication with the controller and the heating element to supply electrical power to the heating element. When the controller is turned on, the heating element warms the sand in the upper portion and the sand warms a person's feet.
COLLAPSIBLE AND CURVED RADIATION THERAPY SYSTEM AND METHODS
Systems and methods for minimally invasively delivering radiation therapy to a patient, e.g., with bladder cancer, is provided. The radiotherapy system includes one or more catheters that may be introduced to a patient's anatomical structure via a sheath using an intracavitary approach. The proximal end of the one or more catheters may be coupled to an afterloader for selectively delivering the radiation therapy, and the distal portion of the one or more catheters is transitionable between an uncoiled delivery state within the sheath and a coiled deployed state having a spherical configuration within the anatomical structure of the patient, such that the one or more catheters contacts at least a portion of the anatomical structure in the deployed state.
BABY SPACE WARMER
A baby space warmer system includes a baby space warmer having a heating element and/or a power source disposed in a housing and a controller that is operable to control the heating element and/or power source. The controller may control the heating element to warm to a warming temperature, switch to maintaining a maintenance temperature, and then cease heating. The controller may control the heating element in this way using regulation of voltage and/or one or more components, such as one or more timers, thermostats, thermometers, and so on. In some implementations, a baby space warmer system may include a warming container configured to contain the baby space warmer, concentrate heat generated by the baby space warmer to speed heating of the baby space warmer to the warming temperature, retain heat generated by the baby space warmer to maintain the heating temperature and/or the maintenance temperature, and so on.
NOVEL TECHNIQUE FOR THERAPEUTIC CONTACT LENS SYSTEMS
The invention relates to electronic contact lens systems, methods for fabrication thereof, and uses thereof for treatment of ophthalmic diseases and conditions, for example, meibomian gland dysfunction.
HEATED PACKS
The present invention is directed to personal heating devices, known as heated packs. Heated packs of the invention include a frame and a heating assembly disposed within the frame. The heating assembly may include a heating panel, an intelligent circuit, and a battery. In certain embodiments, one or more sides of the frame include a material configured to absorb heat or release heat in response to the energy outputted by the heating assembly. In further embodiments, the intelligent circuit is configured to change the temperature of the heating pack based a sensory input received by a user.
SLEEP MONITORING METHOD AND APPARATUS, SLEEP AID DEVICE AND METHOD
A sleep testing method, a sleep testing apparatus, a sleep-aiding device, and a sleep-aiding method are described. The sleep testing method comprises: acquiring an electroencephalogram signal of a user; processing the electroencephalogram signal to obtain energy values of the electroencephalogram signal in a plurality of set frequency bands; calculating a relative energy value of the electroencephalogram signal in the plurality of set frequency bands; and determining a sleep state, mental stress and the degree of fatigue according to the relative energy value. According to the sleep testing method, the sleep state, the mental stress, and the degree of fatigue of a user can be simultaneously determined just according to an electroencephalogram signal, and a plurality of pieces of testing data related to sleep can be obtained in a single instance of testing.
SELF-REGULATING HEATER
The present invention is directed to a self regulating heater including a first layer made of a thin and flexible electrically insulating material. A second electrically conductive layer includes first and second buses spaced from each other. A third resistive layer electrically connects the first and second buses. The third layer has a higher electrical resistance than the second layer. The third layer experiences a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) effect when heated. A fourth interface layer directly connected to at least one of the second electrically conductive layer and the third resistive layer directly engages skin of a patient when the heater is attached to the patient. A combined thickness of the first layer, the second conductive layer, the third resistive layer and the fourth layer may be between 5 mil and 20 mil.
TONGUE STIMULATION FOR COMMUNICATION OF INFORMATION TO A USER
Example devices and methods of tongue stimulation for communication of information to a user are disclosed herein. In an example, a tongue stimulation device may include a body configured to be placed entirely within a mouth of the user and atop the tongue of the user. An array of electro-tactile elements may be distributed on the body, wherein each of the electro-tactile elements is configured to stimulate an area of the tongue adjacent the electro-tactile element. A wireless receiver coupled to the body may be configured to receive stimulation information wirelessly from outside the mouth of the user. At least one processing unit coupled to the body may be configured to transform the received stimulation information into a stimulation signal for each of the electro-tactile elements, and to provide the stimulation signals to the electro-tactile elements.
Cosmetology device
A device for applying electrical stimulation to a surface of the human body utilizes a calibrated, pre-arranged pattern of conducting, current emitting elements to distribute current throughout an entire surface at once, such as human face, without needing to alter the device to accommodate various are sizes, including varying face sizes.
ULTRASONIC THERMAL NASAL DECONGESTANT
A thermal-vibratory device for the relief of nasal congestion including a flexible body that allows the device to be coupled to the average human face.
