Opaque adhesives in wet condition for label application
Various opacifying adhesive compositions are described. The adhesives exhibit relatively high levels of opacity in wet conditions while maintaining acceptable adhesive properties. Also described are label assemblies and labeled containers using such adhesives. Related methods of use and preparation are also described.
Method for producing glass unit and pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet
Provided is a method for producing a glass unit. The method comprises a step (A) of obtaining a glass plate comprising a glass substrate and a Low-E layer placed on the glass substrate; a step (B) of applying a protective sheet to the Low-E layer surface of the glass plate; an optional step (C) of subjecting the glass plate to at least one process selected from the group consisting of transportation, storage, processing, washing and handling; a step (D) of removing the protective sheet from the glass plate; and a step (E) of assembling a glass unit using the glass plate. The protective sheet comprises a waterproof layer, and a PSA layer provided to at least one face of the waterproof layer. The PSA layer has a surface hardness of 0.5 MPa or less.
Extended melt-temp range and low energy absorptive edge banding adhesive system and edge banding
A multi-phasic polymer blend for energy activated edge banding adhesion to a substrate is described. While the blend may be used for adhering edge banding to straight substrates, the blend is preferred for adhering edge banding to contoured substrates. The outer, hard, structural layer of the edge banding is formed from a polypropylene component. The polypropylene component at least includes polypropylene and an optional energy adsorber. The inner adhesion layer of the edge banding is formed from a multi-phasic polymer blend that bonds the outer layer of the edge banding to the substrate. The multi-phasic polymer blend at least includes a polyamide component, a polyolefin component, and a modified polypropylene component. Both the outer and inner layers forming the edge banding may be tinted to conform or contrast with the color of the finished substrate.

The present disclosure relates to an adhesive sheet for temporary attachment which is excellent in heat resistance and can realize sufficient adhesive strength even when being subjected to a high temperature process during the semiconductor production process, and can exhibit a sufficient reduction in adhesive strength due to photocuring in a peeling step, and a method for producing a semiconductor device using the same.
ADHESIVE PRINTING FORM ATTACHMENT LAYER, METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE, AND PRINTING FORM ATTACHMENT CYLINDER COMPRISING THE SAME
The present invention relates to an adhesive printing form attachment layer comprising a support, and a permanently sticky layer suitable for receiving a printing form and fixing a printing form during a printing operation provided on the support, wherein the permanently sticky layer comprises a crosslinked structure obtained by crosslinking a crosslinkable composition comprising at least one polyurethane-based polymeric compound that has two or more crosslinkable groups, which are preferably ethylenically unsaturated groups, and two or more NHC(O)O linkages. A method of preparing the adhesive printing form attachment layer and of operating a printing machine using the adhesive printing form attachment layer are also disclosed.

The invention relates to a below grade, blind side, waterproofing sheet membrane with adhesive and high reflectivity granular particle layer, and having a top release liner, and a bottom release liner, enhancing bond strength between sheets, and be able to fully bond to concrete/shotcrete, and a method of making, and using same. The inventive waterproofing sheet membrane with adhesive, has at least one layer of high reflectivity granular particle layer that are fully or partly embedded into the adhesive layer, and where the average reflectivity of the exposed granular particles is between about 35 percent to 80 percent reflectivity on a standard reflectivity scale. The waterproofing sheet membrane has an adhesive layer having embedded therein high reflectivity granular particles is used in any building or wall construction, and can be placed under or around a foundation of a building or on its below grade blind side retaining walls, etc.
PRESSURE RELIEF CUSHION
A pressure relief cushion includes an elastic layer which is made from a viscoelastic foam material, an adhesive carrying layer disposed on the elastic layer and including an adhesive portion and a carrier portion for carrying the adhesive portion, a hydrogel layer disposed on the adhesive carrying layer opposite to the elastic layer, and a detachable film disposed on the hydrogel layer opposite to the adhesive carrying layer.
PROTECTIVE FILM
A protective film 10 of the present invention includes a base material layer and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer, and is used by being attached to a resin substrate 21 at the time of performing heat bending on the resin substrate 21. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer contains a polyolefin having a melting point of lower than 125 C. The base material layer has a first layer which contains a polyolefin having a melting point of 150 C. or higher, and a second layer which contains an adhesive resin. In a case of heating the protective film 100 having such a configuration, in a state of being interposed between two attaching substrates which are formed of polycarbonate, at 145 C. for 30 minutes, peeling off one attaching substrate on the side of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer at 25 C., and then viewing a surface of the one attaching substrate in a plan view, a residual ratio of an area where the pressure sensitive adhesive layer remains is 5% or less.
