An adhesive tape that includes: a first adhesive layer defining an upper surface of the tape; a second adhesive layer defining a lower surface of the tape; and a reinforcement layer (or first and second reinforcement layers) and a thermally activated layer between the first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer. The thermally activated layer is a thermoplastic polymer layer. The thermoplastic layer may be made of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, modified polyolefin, ethylene acrylic acid copolymer, ethylene terpolymer, polyamide copolymer, poly(trans-1,4-isoprene), polyethylene oxide, or a combination thereof. Further, the thermoplastic layer may exhibit a melting point from 60 C. to 150 C. and may have a molecular weight from 1,000 to 1,000,000.

A friction pad (12) for inhibiting movement of a device (10), e.g., a portable electronic device, relative to an engagement surface (16) includes a pad body (18) having a first body surface (20) and an opposed second body surface (22). The first body surface (20) is configured to be coupled to an outer surface (14) of the portable electronic device (10), and the second body surface (22) is configured to engage the engagement surface (16). The pad body (18) is formed at least in part from a body material (18A) including high-density polyethylene. Additionally, the second body surface (22) of the pad body (18) has a static coefficient of friction of at least approximately 0.60.
AQUEOUS RESIN DISPERSION, METHOD FOR PRODUCING AQUEOUS RESIN DISPERSION, AQUEOUS COATING MATERIAL, AND ADHESIVE
An aqueous resin dispersion with which excellent adhesiveness to a polyolefin base material such as a polypropylene base material can be easily obtained, which can be baked at low temperature, and which is for producing an aqueous coating material; and an aqueous coating material and an adhesive which contain the aqueous resin dispersion, are provided. In an aqueous resin dispersion (C) of the present invention, an olefin polymer (A) and a polymer (B) containing a constitutional unit derived from a radically polymerizable monomer (b1) having a reactive functional group are dispersed in an aqueous medium, a median diameter of the aqueous resin dispersion (C) measured by a dynamic light scattering method is 300 nm or less, and a dry product of the aqueous resin dispersion (C) contains 1 mass % or more of an insoluble component (D) that is insoluble in tetrahydrofuran.
Method for mitigating passive intermodulation
Materials and methods for mitigating passive intermodulation. A membrane for reducing passive intermodulation includes a first polymeric layer, a second polymeric layer, and a continuous metal layer encapsulated between the first and second polymeric layers. A self-adhesive radio frequency barrier tape includes a waterproof polymeric top layer, a metal-containing layer adhered by an adhesive layer to the polymeric top layer, a pressure sensitive adhesive layer adhered to the metal-containing layer, and a release liner on a bottom surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer. A method of mitigating passive intermodulation includes passing a probe over an area of interest, the probe being sensitive to an intermodulation frequency of interest, and identifying a suspected source of passive intermodulation when the amplitude of the probe output exceeds a threshold at the frequency of interest. The method further includes covering the suspected passive intermodulation source with a radio frequency barrier material.
Automatic packaging film and preparation method therefor
The invention aims to provide automatic packaging film and a method for preparing the same. Mutually parallel adhesive areas (2) are arranged at intervals laterally on the same side of the film substrate, a non-adhesive area (1) is formed between two adhesive areas (2), and each non-adhesive area (1) and an adjacent adhesive area (2) form a packaging section; between the adjacent packaging sections, the non-adhesive area (1) of a packaging section and the adhesive area (2) of a next packaging section are connected through a separable splicing tape; all the packaging sections are connected through separable splicing tapes to form an entire continuous automatic packaging film (3). The invention solves the technical problems that the film is stuck or broken during automatic packaging, leading to machine shutdown and thus failure of automatic packaging.
PROTECTIVE FILM TAPE
Provided therefore herein is a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape for protecting a surface. The pressure sensitive tape includes a material substrate with a coating comprising an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene substance and a silicone substance.
ADHESIVE TAPE WHICH CAN BE USED IN PARTICULAR IN A METHOD FOR CONNECTING TWO FIBER-REINFORCED PLASTIC COMPONENTS
An adhesive tape useful in a method for connecting two fiber-reinforced plastic components, comprising a carrier material of polyethylene, a polyacrylate-based self-adhesive compound applied to one side of the carrier material, being formed from a reactant mixture comprising monomers of A1) acrylic esters and/or methacrylic esters of the formula CH.sub.2CH(R.sup.1)(COOR.sup.2), A2) acrylates and/or methacrylates whose alcohol component contains at least one primary hydroxyl or carboxyl group, and/or vinyl compounds which are copolymerizable with acrylates, A3) acrylates and/or methacrylates whose alcohol component contains at least one epoxy group, and/or vinyl compounds which contain at least one epoxy group, A4) and, if the fractions of A1), A2) and A3) do not add up to 100 wt %, olefinically unsaturated monomers having functional groups, with a proportion of 0 to 15 wt %.
