Processes for making low volatile tackifier compositions
A tackifier composition comprising at least one thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin and an antioxidant composition is provided; wherein a portion of the volatile organic compounds in the thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin has been removed; wherein the antioxidant composition comprises at least one primary antioxidant and at least one secondary antioxidant; and wherein the levels of individual volatile organic compound monitored in the tackifier composition are less than about 0.5 ppm as measured by GC/MS headspace analysis. Processes for producing the tackifier composition are also provided as well as adhesives comprising the tackifier compositions.
ADHESIVE POLYETHYLENE COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to an adhesive polyethylene composition comprising (A) from 60 to 90 wt % of a non-elastomeric polyethylene being a terpolymer of ethylene with two different alpha-olefin comonomer units selected from alpha-olefins having from 4 to 12 carbon atoms; (B) from 9.0 to 38 wt % of an elastomer; wherein onto component (A) or components (A) and (B) an acid grafting agent (C) has been grafted in an amount of from 0.01 to 3.0 wt %, all based on the total weight of the adhesive polyethylene composition, a multi-layer structure comprising said adhesive polyethylene composition and the use of said adhesive polyethylene composition for the production of a multi-layer structure.

The present invention relates to an adhesive polyethylene composition comprising (A) from 60 to 90 wt % of a non-elastomeric polyethylene; (B) from 9.0 to 38 wt % of an ethylene based elastomer being a copolymer of ethylene and alpha-olefin comonomer units having from 4 to 12 carbon atoms; wherein onto component (A) or components (A) and (B) an acid grafting agent (C) has been grafted in an amount of from 0.01 to 3.0 wt %, all based on the total weight of the adhesive polyethylene composition, a multi-layer structure comprising said adhesive polyethylene composition and the use of said adhesive polyethylene composition for the production of a multi-layer structure.
Adhesive composition including ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer
The present invention provides an adhesive composition including an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer; and a tackifier, wherein the ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer has narrow molecular weight distribution together with a low density and an ultra low molecular weight, minimized number of unsaturated functional groups, and particularly a small amount of vinylidene among the unsaturated functional groups, thereby showing excellent physical properties.
Ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer and method for preparing the same
The present invention provides an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer having narrow molecular weight distribution together with a low density and an ultra low molecular weight, having minimized number of unsaturated functional groups, and having uniform crystallinity, thereby showing excellent physical properties, and a method for preparing the same.
Hot-melt adhesive substance
The invention relates to a hot-melt adhesive substance for sticking together fibrous materials such as matted nonwovens or woven textiles with smooth substrate surfaces, such as plastic or metal films, and for laminating said materials. Said substance is characterized in that it contains at least one polyolefin which has been produced by polymerization in the presence of metallocene as a catalyst and has a ring/ball softening point of between 50 and 165° C. and a melting viscosity, measured at a temperature of 170° C., of between 20 and 40,000 mPa-s. The hot-melt adhesive substance can also contain at least one adhesive component and is used in a quantity of between 3 and 6 g/m.sup.2, preferably between 4 and 5.5 g/m.sup.2, for sticking a film to a nonwoven material during the production of hygiene items such as disposable nappies, baby nappies, incontinence products, panty liners and/or sanitary towels.
Hot-melt adhesive substance
The invention relates to a hot-melt adhesive substance for sticking together fibrous materials such as matted nonwovens or woven textiles with smooth substrate surfaces, such as plastic or metal films, and for laminating said materials. THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION AND HOT-MELT ADHESIVE
The present invention relates to a thermoplastic resin composition containing a base polymer containing a propylene-based polymer (A) in which a melting endotherm (ΔH-D) is 0 J/g or more and 60 J/g or less, and a melting point (Tm-D) is not observed or is 0° C. or higher and 120° C. or lower; and a propylene-based polymer (C) in which a melting endotherm (ΔH-D) is 20 J/g or more and 120 J/g or less, and a melting point (Tm-D) is higher than 120° C., the content of the propylene-based polymer (C) being 0.5 parts by mass or more and 100 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the content of the propylene-based polymer (A).
Product assembly adhesives comprising low volatile tackifier compositions
A tackifier composition comprising at least one thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin and an antioxidant composition is provided; wherein a portion of the volatile organic compounds in the thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin has been removed; wherein the antioxidant composition comprises at least one primary antioxidant and at least one secondary antioxidant; and wherein the levels of individual volatile organic compound monitored in the tackifier composition are less than about 0.5 ppm as measured by GC/MS headspace analysis. Processes for producing the tackifier composition are also provided as well as adhesives comprising the tackifier compositions.
HOT MELT ADHESIVE
Disclosed is a hot melt adhesive comprising: (A) a copolymer of ethylene with an olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms; (B) an ethylene-carboxylic acid ester copolymer; and (C) a tackifying resin, wherein the (B) ethylene-carboxylic acid ester copolymer comprises (B1) an ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer containing a structural unit derived from the (meth)acrylic acid ester in an amount of 2 to 24% by mass.
