Thermal packs including: a pouch containing a thermal source; and a bendable and deformable support attached to or disposed within the pouch, the support configured such that the pouch is deformed into a shape matching a contour of a body part and the pouch is maintained in the shape while applied to the body part by the support, where the support includes members, each of which having a cup at a first end and a ball at a second end, the ball of one of members being rotatably fitted within the cup of an adjacent one of the members; one or more wires encased in a casing or an loop or hook fastener such that a flap, having an other of the hook or loop fastener, extended from the pouch is folded over the support to retain the support adjacent to the pouch.

Systems and methods are disclosed that relate to a stabilization and cooling apparatus having a stabilizing structure with at least one inflatable chamber, the stabilizing structure configured to become semi-rigid upon inflation of the at least one inflatable chamber. A cooling structure is integrated with the stabilizing structure and includes a single-use cooling element and a thermally conductive material in thermal communication with the single-use cooling element. The apparatus also has an actuator configured to cause inflation of at least one inflatable chamber.

The present invention is directed to earmuffs, and is intended to allow for hot packs to be used, thereby improving the effect of protecting ear regions from cold and a cold wave in the winter season. In order to achieve this, the present invention provides earmuffs (10) including a pair of ear covers (11) and a band (12) configured to connect the ear covers (11), wherein reception slots (13) through which hot packs (20) configured to generate heat are inserted and stored are formed in the ear covers (11), respectively.

A modular cooling pack and method of cooling a head of a patient includes a first pocket, a first cooling capsule, a second pocket, a second cooling capsule, a third pocket, a third cooling capsule, and a securement strap. Each of the first, second, and third cooling capsules are respectively configured to be received within the first, second, and third pockets, cooled, and applied to the head of the patient. The securement strap is configured to receive the first, second, and third pockets thereagainst and at least partially define a closed loop configured to be received about the head of the patient to thereby removably secure the first, second, and third pockets against the head of the patient in at least one of a plurality of assembled configurations.

Disclosed is an applicator device for an apparatus used in a localized cryotherapy treatment. The applicator device is configured, when positioned over a body area to be treated, to receive and to uniformly distribute across the entire area covered thereby a stream of medium, such as air, adjusted to a temperature equal to or above −40 degrees Celsius (° C.) and directed, at a predetermined speed, via the applicator to the area to be treated, whereby a cold-induced thermal shock response is developed in skin and an underlying tissue within the area covered by the applicator. A cooling sheet is provided. The cooling sheet according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a moisture storage layer which stores therein moisture, an absorbing layer which is fused to one surface of the moisture storage layer to absorb the moisture and is applied with microcapsules containing a functional material, and a water repellent layer which is fused to the other surface of the moisture storage layer to be in contact with skin, prevents the moisture from escaping and absorbs air from outside. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a cooling sensation using heat of evaporation when in contact with skin while preventing moisture from escaping to the outside along seam lines.

The invention relates to a nose clamp, method of mounting the nose clamp and kit of parts to form the nose clamp. The nose clamp comprises a resilient clamping body and a temperature altering body to provide a compressing and temperature altering effect on a user's nose. The clamping body comprises a bridge to extend over a dorsum of the user's nose, and a first jaw and a second jaw to extend from the bridge along respective nasal sidewalls of the user's nose so as to apply a compressing force to compress the nasal sidewalls of the user's nose and urge the temperature altering body into contact with the nasal sidewalls. Each jaw comprises an outer wall, an inner wall, and a folding joint between the outer wall and the inner wall to fold the inner wall inwardly from the outer wall.

Disclosed is a system which employs a cooling or heating pad which is preferably rechargeable with hot or cold temperatures at an intended area of the body. The pad includes a highly temperature-conductive or temperature-retentive material which can be cooled or heated using a portable source of heat or cold material delivered to the pad by a removable delivery conduit. Valves can be included to regulate flow of the cooling or heating material from the source to the pad. The system can also include a dual-chambered canister for containing two different media for heating, cooling or for alternating heating and cooling the pad.

Systems and methods for treating and rehabilitating animals are provided. The systems and methods include harnesses and related devices, including compresses and heating/icing devices. The devices further include and comprise features to enable the device to be contoured to and secured to an animal. Animals contemplated for use with devices and methods of the present disclosure include, but are not limited to, canines and humans.
