DISPOSABLE HEATING ELEMENT ASSEMBLY
The invention is a portable heater assembly for retaining a disposable heating element within and further providing a means for controlling heat output therefrom.
Therapeutic Wrap
The subject matter of the invention relates to therapy wraps for the application of compression and/or thermal therapy to a patient. The wraps are formed of at least two layers of material which are sealed together to form at least one cavity between them. The wraps may be used in conjunction with a therapy machine which fills the cavity or cavities of the wraps with fluid such as a gas and/or a liquid. The unique shapes of the wraps are particularly suitable for providing therapy to the human body. The shapes permit the manipulation of the wraps around various portions of the human body such as the shoulder, back and foot.
Therapeutic thermal compression device
Systems and methods directed to the art of therapeutic thermal compression are provided. A therapeutic device capable of providing various therapeutic stimuli, including thermal energy transfer and applied pressure. The therapeutic device has a heating/cooling system, a temperature moderating system, a compression system, and a control system which controls the amount of pressure applied, the degree of temperature applied, and the duration of each application of therapeutic stimuli.
WOUND CARE METHOD AND SYSTEM WITH ONE OR BOTH OF VACUUM-LIGHT THERAPY AND THERMALLY AUGMENTED OXYGENATION
A system for treatment of a wound area of a patient including a first treatment pad comprising a plurality of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) for cleaning and exposing a wound area to ultraviolet light, a second treatment pad comprising removal ports for exposing the wound area to a negative pressure, and a control unit interoperably connected to the first and second treatment pads for providing a negative pressure and the ultraviolet light to the wound area.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR MANIPULATING TEMPERATURE
Methods and apparatuses for manipulating the temperature of a surface are provided. Devices of the present disclosure may include a thermal adjustment apparatus, such as a controller in electrical communication with one or more thermoelectric materials, placed adjacent to the surface of skin. The device may generate a series of thermal pulses at the surface, for providing an enhanced thermal sensation for a user. The thermal pulses may be characterized by temperature reversibility, where each pulse includes an initial temperature adjustment, followed by a return temperature adjustment, over a short period of time (e.g., less than 120 seconds). The average rate of temperature change upon initiation and upon return may be between about 0.100/sec and about 1 OOC/sec. In some cases, the average rate of the initial temperature adjustment is greater in magnitude than the average rate of the return temperature adjustment.
Itch relieving device
An itch relieving device is disclosed, including a shell, a heating element, a first touch sensing module, a control module and a gear input module. The first touch sensing module is configured for touching a human body to generate a human body sensing signal, the control module is electrically connected with the heating element to control the heating element to be switched on or off according to the human body sensing signal, the gear input module is configured for acquiring a control action to generate a pulse signal, the control module is provided with a storage unit, the control module is electrically connected with the gear input module to change a heating gear according to the pulse signal, the control module records the current heating gear through the storage unit, and the control module controls a heating power of the heating element according to the current heating gear.
Methods and devices for manipulating temperature
Methods and devices for manipulating the temperature of a surface are generally provided. The present disclosure relates to a device including one or more heating and/or cooling elements, or other suitable thermal adjustment apparatus(es), placed near a surface, such as the skin of a user. The device may be configured to generate one or more (optionally alternating) thermal profiles at the surface, which may include a series of thermal pulses and/or essentially continuous or semi-continuous thermal input, which may vary over time. Such thermal profiles, when suitably applied, may provide enhanced thermal sensations for a user which, in some cases, may provide the user with a more pleasurable thermal experience than would otherwise be the case without the generation of the thermal profiles. In some embodiments, an alternating thermal profile may include an average frequency, an oscillation window, and/or an average temperature, each of which may be adjustable.

The thermal pulses may be characterized by temperature reversibility, where each pulse includes an initial temperature adjustment, followed by a return temperature adjustment, over a short period of time (e.g., less than 120 seconds). The average rate of temperature change upon initiation and upon return may be between about 0.1 C./sec and about 10.0 C./sec. In some cases, the average rate of the initial temperature adjustment is greater in magnitude than the average rate of the return temperature adjustment.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR NON-INVASIVEL Y MONITORING A SEDATED OR ANESTHETIZED PERSON
The invention relates to a device (1) for non-invasively monitoring a sedated or anesthetized person (10) comprising a pain-stimulus-generating device (7), a measuring device (2) for capturing a saliva amylase value (S(t)) of the person (10), a control device (4), and an output device (5), wherein the control device (4) is designed in such a way that the control device controls the pain-stimulus-generating device (7) in order to produce a thermal pain stimulus (R), and that, alter the pain stimulus (R) has been produced, the control device (4) captures the saliva amylase value (S(t)) and outputs an output value (A) by means of the output device (5), wherein the output value (A) is the saliva amylase value (S(t)) or a value dependent on the saliva amylase value (S(t)).
