Method for creating a viewing screen having an injection overmolded insert
The invention relates to a method for creating a viewing screen (3) having an injection overmolded insert (9). Said method includes the steps of: placing an insert (9), to be overmolded, into an injection mold (1); holding the insert (9) by at least one suction nozzle (21) built into the injection mold (1); injecting, into the mold (1), a thermoplastic material for forming a mechanical substrate layer for the viewing screen; and removing the thus-formed viewing screen (3) from the mold.

Methods and devices are described that relate to eyewear that are specifically designed to allow emissions of circadian-active green light to reach the observer. An example wearable device includes one or more windows positioned to allow light from a light source to propagate toward a position of a wearer's eyes. and a spectral filter that comprises a coating positioned on one or more sections of the one or more windows. The spectral filter includes a multi-layer stack of dielectric material with alternate high and low indices of refraction. The number thicknesses of the layers are selected to provide designed transmission and blocking characteristics to allow circadian-active spectra to pass through while blocking spectral content other than the circadian-active spectra. The filter characteristics include one contiguous transmission region to transmit 98%-100% of a precisely-selected green region and two contiguous blocking regions that block 80-100% of the remaining spectral content.
COLORED BLUE BLOCKERS
Methods and devices are described that relate to spectral filters and associated eyewear that are specifically designed to block emissions of circadian-active blue light to reach the observer. An example wearable device that includes one or more windows, and a spectral filter that comprises a coating positioned on one or more sections of the one or more windows. The spectral filter includes a multi-layer stack of dielectric material with alternate high and low indices of refraction. The number of the layers and a thickness of each layer are selected to provide designed transmission and blocking characteristics to block circadian-active spectra while allowing spectral content outside of the circadian-active spectra to pass through the spectral filter. The spectral filter further includes an additional layer to effectuate a particular color such as the color pink.
MULTI-THICKNESS GOGGLE LENSES
A multi-thickness lens for a goggle may be disclosed in accordance with various embodiments. The multi-thickness lens may include a portion of a first thickness and a portion of a second thickness. In particular, the multi-thickness lens may be inserted into a goggle, including goggles configured to receive standard lenses. Further, the goggle may include features that may allow the multi-thickness lens to distribute forces and/or stresses to the goggle and/or may include features and/or components adapting the goggle to receive a multi-thickness lens.
User-friendly welding helmet assembly
User-friendly welding helmet assembly configurations to be worn on the head of a weldor are disclosed. Eye protection goggles
Eye protection goggles for protecting a person undergoing treatment from electromagnetic radiation comprise two eye protection caps. Each eye protection cap comprises a basic protective body with a free edge for protecting from electromagnetic radiation and a cover protective body detachable from the respective basic protective body for protecting from frontal electromagnetic radiation. The free edge is designed for placing on the face of the person undergoing treatment. The eye protection goggles also have a connecting web connecting the cover protective bodies. The cover protective bodies are connected non-detachably in one piece to one another. The connecting web comprises an in particular rectangular first cross section (2a) extending longitudinally in a width direction of the eye protective goggles for displacing the connecting web relative to the eye protection caps essentially perpendicular to a line of vision of the eye protective goggles in a vertical direction thereof.
METAMATERIAL OPTICAL FILTER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A metamaterial optical filter including: a transparent substrate; and a photosensitive polymer layer provided to the transparent substrate, wherein the photosensitive polymer layer is treated using a laser to form a non-conformal holographically patterned subwavelength grating, the holographic grating configured to block a predetermined wavelength of electromagnetic radiation. A system and method for manufacturing holographically patterned subwavelength grating onto the photosensitive polymer layer including: applying a photosensitive polymer layer to a transparent substrate; placing the photosensitive polymer layer between a laser and a mirror; scanning the laser over the photosensitive polymer layer such that a holographic grating is created within the photosensitive polymer layer by interaction between the laser light and light reflected from the mirror; and stacking two or more holographically patterned subwavelength grating layers to form complex metamaterial optical filter stacks.

Mask removable type automatic shading goggles
Provided are mask removable type automatic shading goggles in that a welding helmet is manufactured in a goggle shape, so that the mask removable type automatic shading goggles can replace the existing heavy and large welding surface; the mask removable type automatic shading goggles can also be used for both an arc welding work and a grinding work, a cutting work, and a gas welding work; and if necessary, the mask part can be easily attachably and detachably coupled to the goggle part.
Decorative respirator and communication mask
A face mask is provided. The face mask comprises a decorative skin with a strap attached to an outer perimeter of the decorative skin. A respirator is attached to a connection piece and utilizes a filter. A speaker and a microphone are mounted to the face mask, and an electronic transceiver module is attached to the face mask. The strap secures the face mask to a head of the user such that an air-tight seal is formed in a worn position. The power source powers the speaker, the microphone, and the electronic transceiver module. The electronic transceiver module comprises a processor coupled to a computer memory and non-transitory computer readable media. The processor is configured to transmit and receive signals from the electronic transceiver module and the speaker or microphone.
