Laser protection eyewear lenses
A laser protection eyewear lens includes a lens substrate comprising an embedded wavelength filter having a first filter function, and a multi-layer dielectric filter applied to at least one of an inside and an outside surface of the lens substrate that comprises a second filter function having at least one center wavelength and bandwidth. The first filter function of the embedded wavelength filter and the second filter function of the multilayer dielectric filter produce a combined filter function that attenuates light reflecting off the multi-layer dielectric filter.
Protective Transparent Coating for Optical Filters
An optically transparent device includes an exterior lens and an optical filter coupled to an inner surface of the exterior lens. A protective coating comprised of an acrylate may be coupled to an inner surface of the optical filter to reduce fragments of the optical filter from detaching from the exterior lens.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF A DEFINED CONDITION, AND METHODS FOR OPERATING SUCH SYSTEMS
Provided are a method, system and a kit for improving a defined condition in a subject, the method including selecting a set of one or more correction zones, being surface zones on the surface of the subject's skin or defined angular zones in the subject's field of view, the one or more correction zones to thereby cause improvement in said condition. Further provided are methods and systems for providing such correction zones related to a defined condition in a subject or to a defined cause in a subject being associated with a defined condition.
Method and apparatus for attaching a light to a head-worn device
Provided is a light attached to a helmet where the light does not move when a face shield of the helmet is rotated up or down.
Eyeglasses protection device
There is provided a novel and improved eyeglasses protection device capable of suppressing occurrence of reflected light that may enter eyes of a user of the eyeglasses protection device and thus reducing fatigue of the user, the eyeglasses protection device including: a lens surface protective part configured to protect a lens surface of eyeglasses. The lens surface protective part is equipped with a substrate film, and a micro concavo-convex structure that is formed on a surface of the substrate film, with an average period of the concavo-convex part being equal to or less than a wavelength of visible light. According to the aforementioned viewpoint of the present invention, it is possible to suppress occurrence of reflected light that may enter eyes of a user of the eyeglasses protection device because the micro concavo-convex structure is formed in the lens surface protective part of the eyeglasses protection device.
Magnification device and assembly
A vision enhancing assembly including a carrier device and one or more magnification devices coupled to the carrier device is disclosed. The magnification device including a housing having an objective lens at a distal end and an eye lens at a proximal open end is disclosed. The housing includes an optical system including one or more objective lenses adjacent the distal end, and one or more eye lenses adjacent the proximal end, the optical system producing a desired level of magnification and a filtering system having at least one of at least one first lens or at least one second lens, wherein an optical density of the at least one first lens and the optical density of the at least one second lens is determined based on a magnification level of the optical system and a position of the at least one of the at least one first lens and the at least one second lens with respect to at least one of: the objective lens and the eye lens.
Filter for laser protection
A method of forming a filter, comprising the steps of: selecting at least a first wavelength corresponding to a predetermined laser threat and having a first colour in the visible spectrum; providing a generally transparent substrate and forming a first notch filter region therein configured to substantially block incident radiation thereon of wavelengths within a first predetermined wavelength band including said first wavelength; selecting a second wavelength having a second colour in the visible spectrum and forming a colour balancing notch filter region in said substrate configured to block incident radiation thereon of wavelengths within a wavelength band including said second wavelength, thereby to balance or neutralise any colour distortion of said substrate caused by said first notch filter region.
Automatic shading googles
Automatic shading goggles that can be combined with fixing members, which can fix the goggles to the face of a wearer by separating end parts of foldable temples having a control module, includes: a goggle frame having front light-shield lenses and side light-shielding lenses; a skirt member detachably coupled inside the goggle frame to be brought in contact with the face of a wearer; and temples rotatably connected to the left and right of the goggle frame, respectively, and having a control module for controlling operation of the front light-shielding lenses, wherein the temples includes hinge parts having the control module and rotatably coupled to the left and right of the skirt member and earpieces separably coupled to ends of the hinge parts to be held on ears.
LOUPE LIGHT-COMPATIBLE ATTACHABLE FACE SHIELD
A face shield adapted to protect the face from biohazards during medical procedures is disclosed. The central portion of the face shield includes a horizontally centered cut out that extends downwardly from a top edge. The cut out is sized and positioned to allow a loupe light to pass through. The central portion of the face shield may be hingedly connected to a pair of side portions. A pair of side portions extends outwardly from respective sides of the central portion. Each of the pair of side portions includes attachment structure, such as a clip, to attach the face shield to the temples of a pair of loupes
Vision strengthening methods and systems
Active dichoptic perceptual-learning tasks or dichoptic game play have been shown to significantly improve visual acuity of amblyopic children and adults. However, these dichoptic perceptual learning tasks are intensive and repetitive such that non-compliance is high. In contrast, the invention provides dichoptic perceptual learning in a manner that the user maintains its use and compliance is increased. Further, compliance becomes automatic if the user performs tasks in a normal manner and forgets that they are actually undergoing treatment as it is integrated with minimal disruption to their life and activities. Accordingly, a methodology exploiting complementary dichoptic stimulation is presented.
