APPARATUS
An apparatus that includes a mask is provided, the mask including one or more fixation anchoring devices, each configured to anchor to an at least one body part within a user, wherein the at least one body part includes at least a portion of one or more of an oral, nasal, pharyngeal, and a respiratory airway; one or more skin covers, each capable of covering at least a portion of the user's face, wherein one or more of the fixation anchoring devices are connected to one or more skin covers; one or more conduits, each connected to at least a portion of one of the skin covers, wherein one or more of a gas, solid, liquid, and gel are transmitted through each of the conduits; and one or more sealing pads, each connected to at least one of one of the skin coverings and one of the fixation anchoring devices.
Medicinal product for the care of an individual
A medicinal product (10) is for the care of an individual having at least one injury such as a burn wound or a skin abrasion, in particular with a large surface area. The product includes at least one functional surface (12, 12, 14) to at least partially cover the injury and/or to fix the medicinal product (10) to the individual. At least one functional surface (12, 12) includes stem parts (18) protruding from the surface. The free end-faces of the stem parts form an adhesion section able to adhere at least partially to the individual and/or to a further functional surface (12), predominantly by Van der Waals forces.
Wound closure system
A wound closure includes one or more bandages. The one or more bandages include a first bandage and a second bandage. Each of the first bandage and the second bandage include a skin attachment portion having a skin fastener for attaching the bandages to a subject. Each of the first bandage and the second bandage include a closure portion having a closure fastener for attaching the closure portions with one another. The skin fastener and closure fastener may include an adhesive. The bandages may include a leg for folding over, and attaching to, the attached closure portions to form a secured folded closure. The secured folded closure may be folded generally flat against, and secured with, one of the skin attachment portions.
Systems, Apparatuses, And Methods For Negative-Pressure Treatment With Reduced Tissue In-Growth
A dressing for treating a tissue site with negative pressure includes a manifold having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The dressing also includes a first layer adjacent to the first surface and a second layer adjacent to the second surface. The first layer and the second layer each include a polymer film. The dressing also includes a plurality of fluid restrictions in the polymer film adjacent to at least the first surface, and a plurality of bonds between the first layer and the second layer. The plurality of bonds defines separable sections of the manifold.
Pressure Bandage
A pressure bandage including an elastic sheet having a first coefficient of elasticity and an adhesive side. The pressure bandage may also include a resilient pad having a second coefficient of elasticity and affixed to the adhesive side of the elastic sheet. The elastic sheet has a first predetermined shape that is configured to be applied to a corresponding anatomical location on the body of a patient. The first coefficient of elasticity and the second coefficient of elasticity are related such that, when the elastic sheet is stretched and adhered to the body of the patient, the resilient pad applies a predetermined amount of pressure to the body of the patient.
Wound dressing with electrode multiplexing and related methods
A wound dressing is disclosed. A wound dressing comprises a first adhesive layer, an electrode assembly, a monitor interface and a multiplexer. The first adhesive layer comprises a proximal surface configured for attachment of the wound dressing to a skin surface of a user. The electrode assembly comprises a plurality of electrodes including a first set of first electrodes. The monitor interface is configured to form a mechanical and electrical connection with a monitor device. The monitor interface comprises a coupling part and a plurality of terminals including a first terminal. The multiplexer comprises a number of N input pins and a number of M output pins. The N input pins include a first set of first input pins for connection to first electrodes of the first set of first electrodes, the first set of first pins including a first primary input pin and a first secondary input pin, and the M output pins include a first output pin. The first primary input pin is connected to a first primary electrode of the first set of first electrodes and the first secondary input pin is connected to a first secondary electrode of the first set of first electrodes, and the first output pin is connected to the first terminal of the monitor interface.
