TRANSPARENT BREATHABLE POLYURETHANE FILM FOR TATTOO AFTERCARE
20180042776 · 2018-02-15 ·

A tattoo aftercare assembly comprises an air-permeable transparent film such that the tattoo is visible through the film when applied thereto. The assembly further includes a carrier layer configured to be removable from the film. An adhesive is applied between the film and the carrier layer. A backing cover is positioned on an opposite side of the film than the carrier layer. The film and carrier layers are slightly narrower and shorter than the backing cover such that the backing cover is easily removable from the film. The film is configured for application over a newly-created tattoo for at least 12 hours, preferably up to 3 days.

APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY

Disclosed herein are several embodiments of a negative pressure appliance and methods of using the same in the treatment of wounds. Some embodiments are directed to improved fluidic connectors or suction adapters for connecting to a wound site, for example using softer, kink-free conformable suction adapters.

Wound dressing and method of treatment

A wound dressing, a method of manufacturing a wound dressing, and a method of treating a patient are disclosed. The wound dressing may include an absorbent layer for absorbing wound exudate; and an obscuring element for at least partially obscuring a view of wound exudate absorbed by the absorbent layer in use.

REDUCED-PRESSURE SYSTEMS AND METHODS EMPLOYING A LEAK-DETECTION MEMBER

Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for detecting leaks in systems for treating a patient with reduced pressure. In one instance, a system includes a distribution manifold for disposing proximate to the tissue site and a sealing member for disposing over the distribution manifold and at least a portion of intact epidermis of the patient. The sealing member has at least a portion that is substantially transparent. The system further includes a reduced-pressure source associated with the distribution manifold for providing reduced pressure to the distribution manifold and a leak-detection member sized and configured to substantially surround the distribution manifold. The leak-detection member includes a detection material that develops a color contrast when a portion is exposed to air and a portion is not exposed to air. The leak detection member works with even low flow systems. Other systems, methods, and apparatus are presented.

System for treating skin wounds, bandaging and biochemical activation equipment for employing this system

The present invention concerns a system for dermatologic treatment comprising an energy source for activating a biochemical healing effect and at least one bandage meant to be placed on or near the area being treated before applying the activation step using the said energy source characterized in that the bandage comprises an identification means (4, 5, 10, 11) interacting with a sensor controlling the functioning of the energy source.

Protective dressing

A transparent dressing includes a portion without adhesive to allow placement over a catheter to reduce any effect of placing and positioning of a catheter at the time of removal of the dressing. The transparent dressing may include at least one tab for handling and removing the dressing, the at least one tab being positioned on at least one outer edge of the dressing.
