REINFORCED ADHESIVE SUBSTRATE
20250100248 · 2025-03-27 ·

The disclosed reinforced adhesive substrate includes a transparent, flexible, breathable backing with a reinforcing material having open areas to the substrate. The reinforcing material strengthen the breathable backing while maintaining transparency so that overall the substrate is transparent. A transparent adhesive substrate can allow the underlying surface to be visualized.

APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY

Disclosed herein are several embodiments of a negative pressure appliance and methods of using the same in the treatment of wounds. Some embodiments are directed to improved fluidic connectors or suction adapters for connecting to a wound site, for example using softer, kink-free conformable suction adapters.

Method for detecting analyte in a bodily fluid, and dressing for implementing such a method

A method for detecting an analyte in a bodily fluid includes placing the detector in contact with at least one metabolite resulting from the metabolism or degradation of the analyte. The contact between the detector and the metabolite produces an optically detectable signal. The detection method includes the detection of the metabolite only in gas form, said metabolite in gas form coming from the evaporation of at least a part of said metabolite. The detection is also carried out without contact between the bodily fluid and the detector. A dressing for implementing the detection method is also described.

DRESSING MATERIAL FOR PUNCTURE

[Problem]

The present invention provides a dressing material for puncture that allows puncture while observing a blood vessel of a puncture site and a puncture needle with an ultrasound examination device, and allows a puncture device to be directly fixed. Consequently, the present invention provides a dressing material for puncture that avoids entering of air between an adhesive and a skin when the dressing material for puncture is attached and improves not only an ultrasonic transparency but also a moisture permeability.

[Solution]

A dressing material for puncture of the present invention includes a support film, a frame sheet, and a release liner, which are laminated from an upper side in this order. An adhesive is used to bond the support film and the frame sheet, and bond the frame sheet and the release liner. The support film is a base material having a thickness of from 10 m to 80 m. The adhesive has a mass per unit area of from 30 g/m.sup.2 to 80 g/m.sup.2.

REINFORCED WINDOW DRESSING
20250177702 · 2025-06-05 ·

A window dressing includes a primary layer having a window for viewing a catheter insertions site. The primary layer includes an adhesive layer on a lower, skin-contacting face of the primary layer. A transparent layer covers the window and adheres to the patients skin and to the top surface of the primary layer. A support structure has a stiffness that is greater than the primary layer and has an adhesive layer on the lower surface of a structural layer of the support structure. The support structure adhesive layer adheres to the support structure to the top surface of the primary layer.

ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING A MEDICAL DEVICE WITH AN APPLICATOR CARD REMOVABLY COUPLED THERETO, METHODS OF CLOSING A WOUND OR INCISION USING THE ASSEMBLIES, AND A METHOD FOR PREPARING THE ASSEMBLIES

Assemblies including a medical device with an applicator card removably coupled thereto, methods of closing a wound or incision using the assemblies, and a method for preparing the assemblies are described.

COVER DRESSING, KIT, AND METHOD OF USE

A cover dressing includes a backing including first and second major surfaces surrounded by a backing perimeter. The first major surface of the backing defines a dressing plane. The cover dressing further includes a cover film attached to the backing and including first and second major surfaces surrounded by a film perimeter. The cover film defines a first film portion extending beyond a backing perimeter and a second film portion at least partially coextensive with the backing, such that a film perimeter corresponding to the first film portion is at least partially spaced apart from the backing perimeter in the dressing plane. The cover dressing further includes a first adhesive layer at least partially disposed on at least one of the backing and the cover film. The first adhesive layer defines a first adhesive portion extending beyond the backing perimeter in the dressing plane.
