BAND FOR SURGICAL WOUND SUTURE
20220031325 · 2022-02-03 ·

The present invention provides a band for surgical wound suture including a first band having a first left band and a first right band and a second band located above the first band and having a second left band and a second right band, in which the first left band is connected to the second right band, and the second right band is connected to the first left band. The band for surgical wound suture of the present invention provides advantages that an incision may be sutured by a simple operation of pulling the left and right bands to the left and right and attaching them, a feeling of heterogeneity after a suturing procedure may be minimized with a suturing device having a small volume and having almost no hard parts, and furthermore, the incision may be joined and firmly fixed by a wide and sturdy joint joined to both sides of the incision.

The present invention relates to a device and a method. The device of the present invention comprising a patch comprising: a substrate, and an adhesive on the substrate. Further, the patch is configured to be attached to a skin via the adhesive to form a pocket between the patch and the skin, to allow introduction of a material into the pocket, and to hold the material within the pocket.

Pull-Tab Bandage and Packaging
20220031522 · 2022-02-03 · ·

In aspects of a pull-tab bandage and packaging, the pull-tab bandage has an adhesive strip that includes a sterile pad, and a non-stick backing adheres to the adhesive strip and covers the sterile pad. The non-stick backing is removable from the adhesive strip for application of the sterile pad and the adhesive strip. The pull-tab bandage also has a pull-tab as an extension of the adhesive strip that extends beyond the packaging that encloses and seals around the pull-tab bandage. The pull-tab is perforated along a terminal break to separate from the adhesive strip. Upper and lower layers of the bandage packaging can be adhered together with a packaging adhesive, forming a sterile cavity around the pull-tab bandage. The pull-tab forms packaging gaps where the pull-tab extends beyond the packaging, and the packaging gaps can be sealed by the packaging adhesive to form the sterile cavity around the pull-tab bandage.

Conformable drape cover dressing

A conformable wound dressing system that includes a backing and a dressing support layer. The backing has a first major surface, a second major surface opposite the first major surface, a perimeter that includes first and second lateral edges extending from a first end to a second end, and a longitudinal axis extending form the first end to the second end. An adhesive is on the first major surface and a dressing support layer is on the second major surface. The dressing support layer has a first section and second section where the first section is disconnected and spaced apart from the second section to define a gap extending from the first end of the backing to the second end of the backing.

A topical drug delivery patch (1) comprising a drug delivery layer (3) including microspheres (2) encapsulating a drug, said microspheres being carried in a hydro gel. The drug delivery layer has a support layer (5) which is attached to a first face of the drug deliver layer and a releasable protective layer (4) attached to a second face of the drug delivery layer. The releasable protective layer can be peeled away do the patch can be applied to the skin to release drugs in the microspheres. The patch is particularly useful for treating skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.

MEDICAL ARTICLE WITH BACKING

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an article that includes a conformable backing having first and second opposed major surfaces. The conformable backing can be formed from a thermoplastic polymer selected from a group consisting of polyurethanes, polyesters, and combinations thereof. The conformable backing has a tensile strength of no greater than 60 grams per centimeter force at 25% elongation in a machine direction according to the Tensile and Elongation Test Method. A hydrophobic adhesive can be disposed on a portion of the first major surface of the conformable backing. The hydrophobic adhesive includes a cationic, bioactive agent, a hydrophobic solubilizer capable of solubilizing at least part of the bioactive agent, and a hydrophobic plasticizing agent having a weight average molecular weight of above 1500.

Adhesive Bandage With Integral Sticker
20170252221 · 2017-09-07 ·

An adhesive bandage having at least one shape cut into the surface to produce a standalone sticker using the existing materials of the bandage. In one embodiment, a shape is kiss cut into the surface and adhesive layer of the bandage. When the release tabs are removed, the sticker remains on the release tab, leaving behind a decorative shape in the bandage. The user then may remove the sticker from the release tab and place it wherever desired. In another embodiment, the sticker can be die cut through all the bandage layers thus allowing use of the sticker before or after the bandage is applied.

WOUND DRESSING WITH FLUID MANAGEMENT
20210393442 · 2021-12-23 ·

A dressing includes an evaporative film layer having a wound-facing side and a non-wound¬ facing side. The evaporative film layer has a high moisture vapor transfer rate. The dressing includes a carrier film layer coupled to the non-wound-facing side of the evaporative film layer. A plurality of holes extends through the carrier film layer. The dressing includes a superab sorbent layer coupled to the wound-facing side of the evaporative film layer and a wicking layer coupled to the superab sorbent layer. The superab sorbent layer is positioned between the wicking layer and the evaporative film layer. The wicking layer is configured to wick fluid from a wound, the superab sorbent layer is configured to absorb fluid from the wicking layer, and the evaporative film layer and the carrier film layer allow evaporation of fluid from the superabsorbent layer through the holes. The carrier film layer provides structural support to the evaporative film layer.
